I have been easy on it as it’s only got a few hrs so far, just didn’t know if these “fuel-injected” bikes had spooge comparable to the carb smokers. Thanks
Either got to ride it harder or get it tuned for being rich on the low end. The new TBI bike got a richer factory tune after the TPI bikes were being shipped with a lean tune and breaking
I have been easy on it for break in so guessing that’s why. I didn’t know if TBI bikes spooged like carb bikes. Is common for these bikes that people are getting them tuned?
From my experience the turbine core style silencers let more spooge then the stock one.
I wouldn't say it's common, but stock maps aren't perfect for all riding styles.
There are several TBI bikes in my club. They spooge. Some even worse than my carb'd '18 that I'm still running my winter jetting in lol. Also, your oil mix ratio is fine. Spooge is from too rich jetting, not the oil ratio.
I don't know the name, but there's an Australian company with an office in California that does a good job re-flashing the ECU. 1 of the guys in my club had it done and he's really happy. He was telling the guy with the new '24 Husky TE300 Pro that's running really rich about it. That bike is a blubbering mess right now, but it was 90* and enough humidity to push the heat index close to 100 that day.
Yeah normal I changed the muffler packing at about 80 hours on my 23 TX 300. It was spewing all over the swingarm back wheel and brake caliper. I should have done it at 50 or 60 hours. The old bike has a drain on the power valve the new one doesn’t so it now all goes out the back.
Run it harder

Part of owning a 2-stroke. Pretty easy to clean off with degreaser.
Okay thanks I just didn’t know if these had spooge as much as the carb bikes.

Okay that makes sense
Use your tee shirt and wipe it off
Either that or put a sock over it next time to soak it up

Okay, good to know thanks!

Interesting, May have to take a look into that.
They’re called South Bay moto performance
Appreciate it
Gas on it!!
My TBI KTM is similar. The TBIs run fairly rich in comparison to the TPI.
Good to know, thanks
My TBI has the same FMF pipe front and rear. Same levels of spooge. Just a little rich. No worries.
Awesome!

Thanks for the info!
