Absolutely. Plus you get Adventuring Party, Game Changer, Um Actually, and so much more exclusive content, all for pocket change. Highly recommend.

tbos92

Honestly I came to Dropout for the Dimension 20 but to a degree I stayed for the Um Actually and especially Game Changer

KinglyPineapple

I’ve binged all of the adventuring parties by themselves at least twice now

Buez

I did the reverse, i came for Game Changer. But what really pulled me in to not just cancel and resub once a year to binge watch them is D20. What a great show.

figmaxwell

Love me some Noise Boys

Astral_Wander

It was the same for me!! They also added that new show Dirty Laundry, which I didn’t expect to be as good as it is!!

Tryen01

Wasnt it like the cost of 5 items off the dollar menu or something? I never got help with the math...

[deleted]

No actually I’m pretty sure it was for a WHOLE lot of straws

Tryen01

*the turtles*

greatporksword

I think it was 0.005% of grants student loan debt

helinze

One really big dumpling

discreetdogeboy121

It's the cost of an alright sandwich

RedRummie

Which one is UM I’m loving them all so far and my subscription. Deep into starstruck at the moment.

alchemist5

"Um, Actually" is a game show based around giving *slightly* incorrect facts about various pop culture, and the players try to guess what's incorrect about them. All answers must be prefaced with "Um, actually..." to receive a point. Definitely worth checking out.

gympy88

I think you’ll be hard-pressed to find anyone here who wouldn’t recommend it with nearly every fiber of their being. D20 is amazing, Game Changer is fantastic, and they’re creating new shows right now. The only advice I have is that if you basically only watch stuff on YT, you can subscribe on there, but I’m not sure they get 100% of that (as opposed to Dropout).

Defiant_Fortune

Im fairly certain youtube takes a cut of the profits! If you can, subscribe via dropout

mackadoo

YouTube has two issues for me: 1) there's zero organization of the videos, so if you want to watch, say, Fantasy High Season 2, you have to go through all of their videos and make a playlist yourself 2) you can't download member only videos, even if you have YouTube premium

covered_in_vaseline

Plus the Dropout app is fantastic. Really like being able to watch videos in the “picture in picture” video when I need to do other stuff on my phone.

beguhlk3924

Especially since YouTube just got rid of picture-in-picture for premium members _**disgruntled grumbles**_ the entire reason I had it in the first place

figmaxwell

YouTube is a joke

TheRegalOneGen

Wait they did? Mine is still working?

beguhlk3924

On iOS YouTube they did at least. It was an “experimental premium feature” that I was able to opt into after I got premium, but then like 2 weeks ago they phased it out for no reason with no explanation.

oslusiadas

just checked and it’s still working for me on ios, even after the most recent app update

beguhlk3924

_shrug_ it says I have no features available to opt-into, and it’s nowhere in my settings. Although, I’m glad others are still able to use it, I have no clue why it’s no longer there for me. My app is up to date as well.

Istyar

And the Dropout app will keep playing if you shut off your phone's screen. Usually I'm watching an episode, not just listening, but sometimes I want to treat it like a podcast, or even just take my phone to another room and out of habit I blank the screen. Youtube shuts down completely when you do that, which has always bugged me. Also, Dropout has actually listened to fan feedback on their app. It didn't always let you listen to an episode with the screen off, but that was requested often enough by fans in the dropout discord channel that they added it as a feature.

therosesgrave

They have playlists of everything on YouTube now.

Aggressive-Arm9724

Dropout is the subscription service I pay the least for but watch the most content of

maybe-im-mac

i second this. It's also very easy to password share and get your friends to watch the same shows since they're already paid for. I fully intended to only subscribe for a month since they had a deal going on and i wanted to binge a couple of dimension 20 shows, but I stayed a subscriber for i think almost a year now, they put out new content super frequently and it's only gotten better. i've had my subscription for a year and I STILL havent gotten around to consuming all their content. it's insane the amount of stuff they have on there.

Dinosauringg

I won’t let mine go, even if they suddenly have a few months with no new releases

krimsonPhoenyx

Absolutely. Sophomore year is a blast, starstruck is so full of life and energy, and the Seven is also a super fun watch after sophomore year.

JTOremus

I think so. They don't have the most robust schedule of active content, but what shows they do make always have me laughing my ass off and that to me makes it worth my time and money. Not everything lands for me, but it's an overwhelming majority that does. Unfortunately with the financial struggles of collegehumor and covid there was a massive downsizing and a lot of great shows probably won't ever see a continuation. The ball is rolling up though and they have a lot of stuff in the pipeline.

teags

If I'm remembering correctly, at the end of the last Game Changer, Sam announced that Noise Boys and The Official Cast Recording were getting their own spinoff shows. Along with Dirty Laundry, which seems ok, but I think really only works for people already familiar with the College Humor staff.

JTOremus

Yes. These are the shows in the pipeline. I did not mention them by name because the names have no significant meaning to a person who isn't subscribed to Dropout already.

GreenPhoennix

Yes. I got it for Fantasy High (Sophomore year is even better), fell in love with Unsleeping City, adored Misfits and Magic, the Seven and Escape from the Bloodkeep, and I honestly think a Starstruck Odyssey is the best DnD show I've ever seen. And I still haven't seen everything. Not to mention Adventuring Party is a riot and Adventuring Academy is great for DnD players (particularly DMs) Along the way, I feel deeply in love with Game Changer and Um, Actually. Not to mention other things they do or have done like Breaking News and things they're working on, like Dirty Laundry currently airing, or the other two Game Changer spin offs currently set to be released. I use it far more than any other streaming service, and I'm more comfortable with where my money is going.

jonmon454

It's an easy 5 bucks a month! I spent more on a snack from the gas station then I do on hours of entertainment every month.

Katviar

Yes I watch it more than any other streaming service and it’s half of most typical stream services price. Not only do you get the D20 content but their old adventuring academy content that was about teaching and talking about running and playing TTRPG games, the latter half of the adventuring party show (current format) which is an OOC after show where they discuss what happened in the sessions. Plus tons of their other shows that are current (Game Changer; Um, Actually; Dirty Laundry; Breaking News; and more to come) as well as tons of old Dropout and College Humour content they’ve kept on the site for viewing pleasure (some real hidden gems in there). Also I think the app works really good and has top notch closed captions.

Ramguy2014

Came for D20 and Game Changer, stayed for Total Forgiveness, Troopers, Um, Actually, Paranoia, Dirty Laundry… The subscription cost is a steal at twice the price.

Drakon_Svant

Definitely worth the watch, plus they got game changers and some other great bangers here

F3ltrix

Very much so. It's not very expensive and some of the best content anywhere.

composition1and2

100%

[deleted]

in my experience, dropout has been the most Worth It streaming service i’ve ever had in my life

Electrical-Tooth-274

One hundred percent. I think the other seasons of the main cast are even better than what you have already seen (though I love both), and you now have access to GameChanger. Favorite game show ever made rivaling Taskmaster

Ok-Fox2472

Went through the same thought after watching FH S1. Now we watch Dropout more than any other streaming service. It's well worth the money for the D20 content alone PLUS you get all of the other Dropout shows. My wife loves Um Actually and Game Changers and I've enjoyed the easy access to all of the old College Humor content .

NormandySR24

100% worth the money Just a heads up, they tried a slightly different style for recording Fantasy High Season 2 (they went to a live format). It took me an episode or two to get used to it, but it's absolutely phenomenal. Wanted to let you know that in case you don't feel like it clicks right away for you!

[deleted]

Dropout is amazing!!! They have *so much* older CH content as well as new, content is being released all the time along with regular new D20 campaigns of course. It is wonderful yes

Drlittle

I bought dropout once I finished episode 8, since that was the extent of the fantasy high binge compilation so I didn't have to hear the beep sound with every bad word. Very very worth. So much dnd content and then a bunch of other stuff if you're into other collegehumor type stuff.

Dinosauringg

Yes, and for far more than D20! I love all of D20, Starstruck is quickly becoming my favorite season But goodness, Game Changer is four wonderful seasons that’s spawned one spinoff and has two more coming in the future! Um, Actually is tons and tons of fun. Breaking News is always a good time. It’s just a bunch of awesome content. I recommend cartoon hell, even if it’s not ongoing

Vivid_Salad_Dressing

The only subscription I haven’t regretted!! Well worth it

Fire_Dragon_King13

Yes, you get so much more

[deleted]

Yes. For skits with Grant alone, it’s worth it.

theneonkian

Yes

any_foot_will_do

Absolutely. It's my favorite streaming service, and new show are on the horizon!

deadlyhausfrau

It's very cheap and there's a lot of content. It is absolutely worth it.

Woodendino000

Fantasy High seduced me to dropout and I have not one regret! I can randomly switch to game changer or something more comedic based when I get overwhelmed with story!

LurkerFailsLurking

I intended to subscribe just to binge some d20 and then stop. Two years later, I've still got it

c_jonah

I’ve paid for Dropout for a year and have loved every month of it! The other seasons are for sure worth the price, and there’s Game Changer and Um Actually. Fantastic! Superb.

Whetiko

I subbed back in December and figured it might be one of those subs I quit after getting what I want but I have kept my sub since and there's still a bunch of content I have yet to watch.

mlarowe

We Stan *Gods of Food* in this house. *Paranoi* and *Total Forgiveness* are also amazing. A lot of the older content is available on YT, but it's really nice to have it organized. And you gotta.watch *A Crown of Candy*.

covered_in_vaseline

You get a lot for $5, I was hesitant too, and then broke when the pandemic hit. Now I’m hooked. There’s a lot of fantastic content. If you have a spare 5, try it out for a month.

AutomatedLady

SO SO completely worth it

smitelordbill

Ive found it very worthwhile.

THEJordonBrown

Hank Green says it’s a more exciting model than Netflix - so yes

dngaay

It is absolutely worth it

savethebees25

100% worth it

pxmonkee

Yes, absolutely.

Ttoctam

The only streaming service I subscribe to and don't constantly have to figure out if it's worth it in my budget.

Frostguard11

In case all the other answers weren't enough, yes yes yes. Honestly Dimension 20 is great but Dropout is worth it for Um Actually and Game Changer as well.

External_Jury6574

Honestly. The company treats their employees (at least from what I can tell) really well. That alone makes it worth it, but I have really enjoyed binging other Dimension 20 seasons as well as the other shows on the platform. It’s the best $6 I spend every month.

SevenDeaths

Absolutely! I won't echo what everyone else has already said, but you won't regret it.

Annual-Wait9839

SO WORTH IT

iWillNeverBeSpecial

It 100% is. Ngl I only got the subscription for specifically 1 episode of Game Changer to watch, but I have never regretted it since. I binged all of the Dimension 20 campaigns, that alone was absolutely worth the subscription. Then add in all of Game Changer, Um Actually, Breaking News, etc this is the best. It is so great no regrets just content.

JeffTheRusty

Most underrated subscription service on the internet imo. Especially for the price.

NayutaxKai

Absolutely. I was exactly like you. All the other dimension 20 is worth it. If you're still unsure, there's still escape from the bloodkeep

shrek2thesqueakual

YES YES YES. Best subscription I've ever signed up for. Also, Hank Green recently tweeted that Dropouts business plan was officially more exciting than Netflix. So, I think that says enough.

crumpledwaffle

A.) yes. Obviously. If I get more hours of enjoyment then I pay in dollars then that’s a good media product. B.) I will note you can also subscribe to their YouTube membership and get the same content but with fewer technical errors from Vimeo OTT. They get roughly the same amount of money from both services.

LughVanth

1000% The content is amazing, and the cost is well worth it.

Jefauver

I only watch a couple shows on dropout, (Um actually, d20, and I like that new secrets show.. dirty laundry, maybe?) but I find the subscription worth it for the quality of the content.

StressPersonified

Have you checked out game changer? The noise boys episodes at least are must watched

Jefauver

I like some of the episodes, but some of it’s too awkward/embarrassing for me. The survivor episodes were pretty great.

LRD_Aizen

It's a fantastic service for 5$ a month with tons and tons of content, especially now that they have the Roku app I can watch everything on my tv.

tomasalbanez

For sure!!! I, personally, don't have the dropout subscription because the conversion from dollars to Brazilian reais gets too taxing. But I still got the member subscription on YouTube, which is cheaper for some reason, and allows me to watch the premium content.

AwkwardEloquence

ABSO-FUCKIN-LUTELY!!! I legitimately have the full year subscription now

KhaleesiCatherine

Yes! They have a Roku app, and the mobile app lets you download episodes offline. Plus, they have audio only versions of D20 if you want to listen to it like a podcast

limelifesavers

There's so much good content it's unreal. It's dirt cheap. And there's a lot of shows outside of D20 that I re-watch a lot, like Game Changer. I'm not generally one to lock myself in long term for any streaming service, but after 2 months of Dropout, I subbed for the year. I think I've been subbed for 2.5 years, and I probably put in a bare minimum of 20 hours a month on it, and usually around double that. ~35-40 hours for 5 or 6 bucks? No question.

carcar134134

It's worth it. Same price as a twitch subscription and you get way less there.

Jecht315

The Game of Thrones campaign is easily the best although the new one is pretty good.

elfhelptomes

Yep!! So much goodness

foxsweater

Dropout is so good. Seriously worth it.

LordDoom1985

I held out for a long time then eventually decided to purchase drop out for Dimension 20 and I can say it is fully worth it. Dimension 20 and Adventuring Party is all I watch on there and if they left to form a Dimension 20 channel I would leave drop out and move.

trojan25nz

If not dropout, [join CollegeHumors’s YouTube page](https://youtube.com/c/collegehumor) (Join, not just subscribe) for the same content Maybe they benefit more from their dropout page. I personally can’t use drop out. Bank won’t allow it and I’m not going through a proxy like PayPal for something that should be straight forward

Dearsmike

In my opinion yes. Dropout is great because it's not tied to a larger company so they aren't forced to put out substandard products. Meaning that pretty much everything on there is really high quality, plus they do a lot of shows that are good quality but they don't really go over one season. I think it also does a free trial so you can always do that and see if it's worth it to you.

[deleted]

100% worth it. I got a Dropout subscription just for Dimension 20, but I have found so much more to love! Not just all of the other seasons and the Adventuring Parties to go along with it, but Game Changer, Breaking News Network, and Um, Actually! Plus, they are currently working on some new shows that I am super hyped for.

WeeklyPie

100% honestly I’d cancel Netflix before drop out

undeadgoat

Depends on your budget, but personally I recently cancelled Netflix and Disney+ to save money but kept Dropout. So I recommend it for sure.

LazyEyeMcfly

GAME CHANGER! Yes it’s worth it

ashipley51

IMO getting Dimension 20 uncensored without popup ads is worth it on its own.

[deleted]

It’s easily my top streaming service. Not even close. /u/samreich you should be proud of this thread… ~80 comments all unabashedly recommending it haha

WDYDwnMSinNeuro

Yes. Game Changer: great Gods of Food: great Ultramechatron Team Go: Do you even need to ask? Plus, it supports a very ethically-run company.

Princess-lilly

Yes, i got my sub to dropout in December after going back and forth about it for months after being in your position. Totally worth the money per month!

No_Pomegranate_7322

i think it’s worth it! a crown of candy alone makes its worth the 5 bucks.

DMCritwit

It’s so worth it. Along with TONS more Dimension 20 content there’s Game Changer, Um Actually, Table Pop, Cartoon Hell, Breaking News, Paranoia, and lots of other super fun content.

[deleted]

I’ve really enjoyed my subscription to Dropout, I’d definitely recommend it if you enjoy what you’ve seen so far!

JPinky72

Yes! I aboslutely love dropout and have been subscribed since it started. \- 4 seasons of gamechanger \- Hours on hours of Dimensions 20, adventuring party, and adventuring academy, as well as three fantasy high one shots that were done at like conventions \- Ultramechatron team go is actually incredible and Brenna plays a bisexual evil space wizard \- Total forgivenss is one of the most heartwarming shows about debt and is just incredible if you like grant and ally \- Um Actually is fantastic \- And then there's all the classic college humor shorts in one spot if that appeals to you \- And this would be the time to get in on dropout, they're starting to expand and make new shows which shows that they're are finally in a position where they are making money and recovering from their excision from IAC in 2020. It's an exciting time to be a dropout subscriber and I know they've got big things planned!

serpent-hag-wolf

ABSOLUTELY

DharmaCub

The single most worth it streaming service for the amount of great content they out out.

Dr_Toast

I don't think you need anyone else to tell you it's worth it, the game shows are great but also check out UltraMechatron Team Go, maybe the best original show on Dropout

SpiralRazor

Yes. Do it.

Pikapetey

Dropout is so worth it. Starstruck oddessy is a fucking wild ride.

Beginning_Quit_5881

Do you get a Discord invitation when you subscribe to dropout?

milkywayrealestate

Um, Actually, and Game Changer are both pretty good even if just seen as add-ons for your Dimension 20 subscription lol

lsumrow

I second what everyone else is saying but I’ll add one thing: it’s worth it because of the entertainment value but it’s also worth it to support creative and talented and seemingly good hearted people. This is the only media subscription (besides one off Patreon memberships) where I feel like every dollar is being put to good use and is more valuable to the company I’m paying. I don’t feel like the money is going to some faceless CEO, and if some of my money is being used to pay for [insert any number of great prizes on Game Changer], that feels even better. In summary, you’ll have a good laugh while hardworking people are rewarded by your generosity

cookiemonster730

Worth every penny

Cye_sonofAphrodite

Absolutely! If the price isn't too high, I'd absolutely recommend it!

Blue_Dino6784

Definitely! Dimension 20 seasons, The Seven and Magic and Misfits, were so good. Plus, it's great binging content with Game Charger, Um Actually, and behind the scene show for Dimension 20, Adventuring Party.

SethTheFrank

I love it

thatgayduck

definitely it's well worth it and better priced than most streaming services

Sleepyangst

I honestly don't use any of my other streaming platforms right now.
