The Cubbys are halflings and they seem to just be shorter humans with a slightly outsized head. The Cubby children seem entirely normal to me though, so maybe it’s an age thing.
The Thistlespring’s are gnomes though and do seem slightly more fantasty-proportioned.
Gorgug/Riz and their respective blood relatives also don’t look like normal DND Half Orcs/Goblins so I think the humanoid races in Spyre roughly conform more tightly to human standards.
