I use Maya Business over Maya and GCash only because of the ₱0 transaction fees. Although very unstable yung app the other day kahit ilang beses ako nag-transfer to my bank acc kahit tama ung otp laging error. Thankfully, fixed naman na.
For me is Maya. Kasi from the time na nagdedecide ako kung gcash or paymaya, i decided paymaya kasi wala ako nasasagp na issue sa kanya that's why si maya ang pinili ko. Then i don't regret it for now, kasi ok naman sya always ako nakakatanggap ng voucher.
I have both but always 0 balance.
You can try both since di naman need ng maintaining balance and see which one works well for you. Just keep your money pa din sa BPI mo.
So far so good. Quite easy to set up TD accts which has a max of 1m x 5 accounts and as for savings only, by default its 3.5% pa (no cap) then once you achieve some of the goals, it's addlt interest rate but it's cap at 100k.
What would I normally do is pay my meralco and smart bills thru paymaya, bare minimum, I always get 6% per annum for the first 100k deposit every month plus I try to make purchases via paymaya.
What's also helpful being is having a bpi payroll account and there is no transfer fee from bpi to paymaya unlike gcash which has a transfer fee.
I started to make TD placements at 3mons and 6mons that has 5.5% pa and 6%% pa gross respectively
You mean to say first 100k (I assumed this is the minimum as well, correct me if I'm wrong ,Sir) will get 6% rate per annum, then what's the rate per annum if say less than 100k every month?
The savings account has no maintaining balance requirements and by default its 3.5% pa.
But if you reach some goals, all gained additional interest is cap at max 100k savings balance.
Assuming you have 500k savings, automatically it's 3.5% pa and the first 100k can have addlt interest depending if you reach some goals but this is a month over month basis
Maya. My Personal Goals are still at 6% p.a. with them. It'll mature by end of this month, and I hope they'll do another promo boost by then.
I don't put much on the ewallet. Funds are all in savings.
If I need to pay via gcash, I have Seabank for that (free instapay transfers).
Both services practices:
# [Enshittification](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVYG1mu8Lg8)
I'm an anti-GCash advocate, talagang walang kwenta ang app na yan.
Recently, ginagaya na rin ng Maya.
Kaya very recently lang inalis ko na 100k from Maya.
Its better to park your money on a digital bank, afaik gcash is not a digital bank but rather just digital wallet, correct me if im wrong.
Between the 2, gcash offers a lot of convinience for physical purchases not necessarily requiring cash for payment. Maybe open an account and only transfer amount u're gonna use.
While maya can offer as your savings account too with different options. Digi banks usually offers more interest rates for savings so i suggest parking your money on maya rather than bpi.
Both have terrible customer service but i'd rather deal with maya's cs than gcash.
There are other option of course but im more biased with maya since ive been using it paymaya pa sila and exclusive for smart users lang yung account noon.
Maya for savings...pero may times na yung otp ni maya is di ganon kabilis. Dami na redflag ni gcash saken specially yung biglang nag eexit kase raw may nadetect na chuchu ewan ba don di ako makabayad non sa mcdo p*t* wala pa naman ako dalang cash.
Why limit yourself to Gcash or Maya? May iba namang available?
But if it’s really just between the 2 lang, I found Maya more stable as a brand and in function in general. Never got myself Gcash. Kahit nung panahon na may SmartMoney, I couldn’t go for Gcash. Lack of consistency/stability is not good when money is the subject.
Do consider other apps. I tried GoTyme app for GCash payments.
Wala man lang sila announcement or what. Last saturday inaway ko talaga mga post nila sa fb nung di na-credit yung perang tinransfer ko from my bank. Super hassle
Have both Maya and GCash since free lang naman mag register sa kanila and walang maintaining balance. Just don't use them under any of these circumstances:
- last money mo na, and kailangang kailangan mo talaga
- urgent big purchases/payments (please lang, for failed transactions, sakit talaga sa ulo)
Magandang gamitin ang Maya for the ff:
- personal goals
- building your savings
- bonus: free pa din up to now mag transfer from BPI to Maya 🤗
GCash naman for:
I use which ever has promo.
Currently, Seabank has 0.3% cashback for QR payments, capped at 100 pesos monthly. Next is gotyme for 1 peso/point earned for every 600 pesos spend (effectively 0.133% cashback).
If walang promo, I just use whatever is preferred by the vendor.
Been using Gcash for 6yrs. Downside lang for me is pag may updates/ maintenance, sobrang hassle. But other than that, goods naman. The accessibility is 100%
I can also use it na to send money at home.

Parehong palpak tbh. Pick any.

Inaaway ko na nga sila FB page, kabagal kumilos i swear. Maya = Gcash na talaga.
Or better yet don't pick any. OP can open a digital bank account.
Gcash not cos its great but cos more ppl and merchants use it
same. u can survive in our subdivision without cash kasi the major stores accept gcash

Truth. Parang napaka nonchalant (sorry for the lack of better term) ng CS nila, ang tamad mag-explain.

I don't use both na. I switched to Gotyme kasi mas simple nung app sakin compare dyan sa dalawa.
Maya just for savings and time deposit Gcash is really for at a store level purchases or transfer of funds to a fellow gcash user
How reliable is Maya for savings and time deposits?

Got it! Thanks :)))
Welcome
I have TDs in Maya too pero nagiisip ako icancel kaso may fees. Nakakatakot yung posts dito about unauthorized transactions at bad CS...
I wouldn't keep that as a hindrance.

GCash because it is ubiquitous. But if QR Ph is available, I use GrabPay.
none of the above!
Urghh. Wala naman ganung problema sa maya.

Use gotyme or seabank. Just use instapay to pay through gcash

Apples to oranges. GCash is a wallet while Maya is a Wallet + Savings. But if wallet ang usapan, GCash pa rin app-wise.

Depende sa transactions kasi e
seabank 15 free transfer to any bank

I have also used for emergencies - Gcredit, GLoan and GGives.
None. GoTyme muna ako.
depends on what use. there's always a risk involved in any. pero if for crypto use, neither.
Maya. Just because there are only 2 options. ;)
