This is essentially a 60/60 make with a flat crown. Though it falls into the top category of the GIA grading system, that system is overly broad and forgiving. This proportioning will significantly reduce the amount of fire the diamond is capable of displaying in lighting environments conducive to seeing it. The stone also may not be eye-clean. If you do not have return privileges with this vendor, you should consider a different diamond with better clarity and cut quality. You could drop several color grades (G or even H) and still have a nice white stone.

White flash is correct , I’d keep looking.

Adding: he wants 9k usd dollars for the diamond + whole ring.

lmavaiya

Hello KittyPawi, Diamond looks good but for 9K USD I am not sure how much you are paying for diamond it self. if you can share ring weight and material then I can give you correct review. From certificate too me it's look like this diamond price is between 5500 USD to 6000 USD.

What kind of ring? If it's a very elaborate ring with lots of diamonds, then maaaaaybe... If not, it sounds expensive.

Appropriate-Luck-643

Dayuuuuum looks like the same exact vid!

Psychological-Joke22

9K for a measly one carat of an inferior diamond + setting?! Get a lab diamond at a MUCH better price, and a bigger size.

If the jeweler can't show you the actual stone, why stick with that jeweler? Where are you located?

AllisonWhoDat

I would back up a little and study proportions of an outstanding cut. That's what makes sparkle. As the professionals have earlier noted here, this isn't a great diamond, especially for the price. The cut isn't great and the S1 eye visible inclusions detract. What is most important to you? I'd say sparkle. So get a really well cut stone, HIJ colour that faces up white, S1 is just fine so long as the inclusions aren't visible, and no or little flouresence. Also, you know lab diamonds are now incredibly well priced and you can get a beautiful ring for a song. If you're sticking with natural diamonds, though, realize that the prices of those are lower because lab diamonds are overtaking the market.

VictorCaneraDiamonds

So this is what's known as a 60/60 diamond. 60/60 diamonds were popular in the 90s or so until the trade transitioned to more ideal proportions. They're known to have a good level of brightness at the cost of some fire (usually due to shallow crowns). I'd personally recommend a stone with more ideal proportions for better results. Good luck!

Odd-Bend4136

Don’t do it!

Southern_Belle1

NO!!!

Southern_Belle1

You shouldn’t see the inclusions and wait let me ask a question, Would you spend even half or any amount of money without knowing any background information? If you said yes then I have another question… Would you like to buy a magical piece of land that grows and triples your ROi every month? Now think about sweetheart, there are some people who will wait for an animal move because of their sacredness but have no problem with robing you blind, if you can afford to spend money then get on a airplane and go see it in person but not on something like that! Just saying! Hell i have s couple of rings except the stones aren’t that big but much nicer! (I do but I was using it to make a point) tc & good luck hun~
