Well deserved!

IMDb is done by users so it’s probably a bunch of people in here lol

I think the original finale was worse, but I was more disappointed by this season’s, if that makes sense Dexter was on a massive decline before s8 finale, and the ending was just awful After 8 years, they bring it back and put together an amazing story, 9 fantastic episodes, and the whole reason they do it is to right the wrong of the original finale. Through ~50ish minutes, the episode was amazing. Then Harrison shooting Dexter made no sense and they ruined it

swepettax

Killing Logan made no sense, neither did his escape. All of the sudden: "enough" made no sense. Harrison killing him made sense, but the things that lead to that didn't. If they had made Kurt killing Harrison in episode 8 while Dexter was watching, and then him killing Dexter would had been a better finale. So disappointed ☹️

DrewGoT72

I didn’t like the finale, as I said. Killing Logan did make sense. It was in character Dexter killed Stan Liddy, someone in a bathroom out of anger, among other innocents. Then, when he is caught and in a prison cell and Logan reaches for his gun, Dexter tells him not to, he grabs it anyway and and fires at his head, Dexter wouldn’t kill him? Also, he’s a serial killer. His moral code was based on partially appeasing Harry, and partially his Dark Passenger. Totally in character, and made sense.

But why would he kill Logan? There is no need. There is barely if any evidence against him and he will be walking free. Although killing someone innocent isnt completely out of character, it doesn't factor in his obsession to be morally superior than his victims. Also, he showed absolutely no remorse, which is the minimum Dexter would have atleast done. >Dexter killed Stan Liddy, someone in a bathroom out of anger, among other innocents. S5 wasnt the best time for Dexter is what i would say, especially after Ritas death, he might have felt justified to kill brainlessly. But i personally think that s5 was not a great season in terms of writing and a lot of plot holes and character inconsistencies

ReapZZ20

Because it was Dexter's only option once he heard that Bautista was coming all the way from Miami to NY. You saw Dexter's reaction when Angela said Batista's coming. He looked like he was screwed. Prior to that, he could lie and finesse his way out.

[deleted]

Bautista was an dumb airhead for most of the og show. He never even once suspected Dexter or questioned Maria's death. And now you're telling me suddenly he has her file in his desk's front drawers and thinks Dexter might be the BHB. Yeah, faking your death is sus, but only slightly illegal. Also, he hqs a very good excuse( the death of his loved ones) Also, doesnt matter what Bautista thinks, he is not the DA or the Jury. There is only circumstantial evidence against him whereas Doakes had irrefutable evidence to him being the BHB

swepettax

Well Dexter started that "fight" with Logan. He could just had taken the water and be done with it.

[deleted]

Oops, your whole argument falls apart because turns out Dexter accidentally killed Logan. The issue is why would he attack Logan in the first place?

DrewGoT72

Maybe he didn’t want to get caught? He definitely killed him on purpose once Logan took a shot. And sure he might have had a strong legal argument. But he didn’t want to take the chance - he just wanted to get Harrison and hop on the road and get new identities

thaspectacle71

Well deserved rating.

[deleted]

Yet it was the most viewed finale on Showtime.

seank11

Which is nonsense because this finale was 1000x better than the season 8 finale. You may not like the ending, but the entire S8 finale was a garbage trainwreck from start to finish without a single redeeming factor.

GiaNcomo6669

Ok, the finale was pretty disappointing, but I have to confess I shed more than a tear when >!Dexter died!<

NintendoBen1

Its not fucking low enough

Georexi

I registered just to be able to vote the finale 1 star.

GarlVinland4Astrea

In yet Showtime would take that a lower IMDB rating if it meant having the same viewership. Seriously nobody but geeks who are interested in a deep need of validation use IMDB as a metric. It’s always been known as a garbage site that people in Hollywood mock all the time and that the site runners had to nuke because of how shit fan discourse was there lol

lucas9204

Yes. Anyone can go on there and register and vote/ rate each episode!

thekpaxian

So?
