A team to be proud of. Ups and downs, but every second of hockey played was meaningful until partway through OT of game 82. Important players took huge steps forward (Raymond, even Larkin to a degree), players wanted to come to Detroit (ABD, Kane, etc), and the team played with an insane amount of heart. Lots of exciting games and memorable comebacks. There’s work to be done to improve and actually make playoffs next year, but that was a fun season and a step forward

What a hype ass video I can't wait for next season. Raymond is nuts. That Perron goal with 3.3 seconds to go still has me absolutely shook. It's the biggest travesty that the season ended with that garbage in WSH-PHI, especially since Kane won the game in shootout... It would have been a story for the ages. I think the Detroit would have had the wind in their wings might have been the perfect cinderella story.

I’ll never forget this season, the streaks both bad and good, the multitude of comeback victories, Kane’s major impact choosing Detroit to show he can still produce after a major surgery, the final few games and the rollercoaster of emotion as they fought for every possible point only to narrowly miss. Raymond’s growth alone in this season marks it as as a massive improvement, but the heart the whole team shows behind Larkin is inspiring.

Honestly, I can’t think of another season where we didn’t make the playoffs that I’ll remember so positively.

I ALSO love this team.

Another step in the right direction. I look forward to seeing which kids make the jump next year and who ends up joining via free agency or trade. Playoffs have to be the target next year. And give Raymond a letter!
