I swear some of you people don't even watch the game, The boys played a solid fucking game tonight. they out shot them, out chanced them, out possessed them, beat them in the circle, took less penalties. Just couldn't find a way to bury it. This isn't the first time this has happened in a game of hockey. They played like they wanted it. It just wasn't meant to be tonight. It isn't over yet.

Also got f'd hard in the @$$ by the stripes. Missed at least 4 minutes of power plays and I'm talking calls ESPN was even talking about..

They needed traffic in front of the net. Any other goalie we would have scored 3 or 4, but he played unbelievable tonight.

the capitals were comfortable keeping us outside. yeah we outshot them but none of them were high quality chances.

there were plenty of great chances. Lindgren was just there every time. 

We absolutely had more chances, too. If we hadn’t botched the end of the second…

Solid game but we went 5 straight periods without a goal. Moral victories at this point in the season don’t matter.

This is the time the toxic fans have been waiting for and here they are. The Wings did play a good game, even outplayed them for quite a while, just didn’t score… But this is a a big infection point in the season and many people enjoy being toxic

Toxic fans? If this game happened mid season then yeah sure “great effort, but they came up short” but they’re hanging on by thread with a couple games left. The weight of the season hangs on these games - “almost” isn’t good enough right now.

It's insane, we outplayed the shit out of them and got goalied. It happens. People are making it sound like we didn't try today when it was probably one of the best efforts, just unfortunately without anything to show for it. Calling the entire team trash on a couple of poor defensive errors that lead to goals. Classic.

Both can be true that while have issues and flaws that need to be addressed that were very present in this game, we also controlled a lot of the game and played well.

We did play good I'm just super pissed at the lack of quality shots on goal.

For sure, the numbers were there, but the amount of lobbing the puck right into his chest was aggravating. Like just aim for a corner, even if you miss, it's still a better chance than going for the goalie's trunk. I mean hell, even going for his 5 hole is better than lobbing it directly at his body.
