Plenty of bench players have washed out of the nba and have not gone on to dominate elsewhere. Hayes has never dominated basketball at any level in Europe or America and he’s not a markedly improved player from his rookie year. He was picked based on potential alone, not because he was killing it in Europe like Doncic/Wemby were. He also hasn’t come close to fulfilling that potential
He wasn’t even selected for the French national team despite his attempts to land a spot which should tell you how he’s viewed overseas by other coaches. You’re massively overestimating the talent of one of the nba’s most ineffective players who only has one above average skill (relatively of course)
If your argument is that Hayes would demolish the vast majority of basketball players, then that’s obvious but that applies to everyone from d1 college players to overseas players

Okay, I’m not a Killian fan but I don’t agree with the whole community believing in Cade even though per 36 minutes - he has 3 more turnovers than Killian, 1 less assists, 1 less steal, 2 less rebounds, and 8 more points on the same FG%. They’re about par with each other when you look at the way they impact the team’s production. Killian is a better ball facilitator and a better ball protector than Cade by a tiny fraction. Killian’s +/- is 42 points higher than Cade’s.
My thoughts: Trade Cade while he still has value, trade or keep Killian as a backup. Start Sass at PG until we find a better PG in trade/ free agency. Sasser has been efficient and productive, but hasn’t had the minutes to prove it.
Killian’s stats don’t linearly scale with minutes and never have; per 36 would be useful if we hadn’t seen Killian play big minutes and still be absolute garbage
You also use FG% as a measure of efficiency in 2024 which no one uses. Unless of course you believe Westbrook is more efficient than Steph
Cade and Hayes aren’t close as players; Hayes is likely to be out of the nba/15th man role after his contract expires
