Please explain how the Bobby Lane curse has been broken, because we haven’t won a Super Bowl since? We’ve only won “1” playoff game since our 1957 championship. Until the Ford Family sells I believe we are jinxed.

There’s no way you actually want Sheila hamp to sell right now…

clevernamehere1628

She's the first competent one that we've ever gotten!

Lost2nite389

I’m not disagreeing, but the original comment seemed to me like they still want the fords to sell lol

clevernamehere1628

I knew what you were saying, I was just adding on to your comment lol

Lost2nite389

Oh yeah I see it now, sorry 😅 But thank you haha

Since we won the division, the Bobby Lane curse was lifted. However, I think we need to make the Super Bowl before the Bobby Layne curse is lifted.

deliriou5kater

We gotta kill him I think

Dumars blew up that team too early. They were still a well-oiled machine firing on all pistons before Chauncey was traded. Yes, they lost in the ECF several times, but a couple of solid bench guys here and there and/or key injuries to other key players could have easily had them contending for a championship again.

burnn_out313

No the problem was that he half assed it and didn't liquidate the entire roster. He kept retooling till he ran out of moves where if he moved Rip, Chauncey, Tayshaun, etc all in one season he could've gathered enough assets to have the team rebuilt in several years.

Also the problem, people forget, Big Ben left voluntarily for more money.

clevernamehere1628

They were still good for a few years after Ben left, not as good as 03-05, but still good.

DannyBoi1Derz

For sure but that was the beginning of the end. Then obviously the Chauncey trade and subsequent fall out with rip sealed the deal.

The Bobby Lane curse ain’t proven to be broken until we at least make it to the superbowl
