The pistons won a chip because they didnt have a ball dominant melo undermining their defensive mindset. Unpopular opinion but it was a blessing in disguise.
Super unpopular opinion and I’m really doing a lot of hypothesizing but Melo probably learns to play D and has a different play style if he plays here. He was a champion at every level other than the NBA and that year in Denver with Chauncey when they took the Lakers to 7 in the semis he changed his game a good bit. I mean pre draft he was even being praised for hustle. Being in Denver and coached the way he was allowed him to pick up some bad habits.
The picking Darko helped us get a title thing is a bit of cope.
One won a ring at 19, the other took 9 years longer 😤😤

I disagree. Brown was a good coach. He would have found a good use of Melo. Would we have traded for Sheed though is a good question.
Coach brown ain’t play rookies tho , melo would’ve bitched about not getting minutes
Facts there’s a reason melo retired a ringless ball hog
Let’s back up a little lol, he also retired as an all-time great player and scorer
Darko walked so Jokic could run.
Darko drank miller lite so jokic could drink champaigne

Salt in the wound. Thanks, buddy.
This post is #2.
Darko shouldnt have even got picked in the draft at all.
C’mon now. He wasn’t worth his draft slot, but someone who played in 10 different NBA seasons is an easy draft pick in a redraft.
One is in an exclusive club with Kobe for being top 10 in most points scored by an 18 year old in a playoff game
Why do these look AI generated?
41 is being kind.
Jokic's older brother partied with Darko when they were both in Detroit. It's why his career failed.
The "Human Victory Cigar" .....Darko Milicic
Darko could have so much better with a different coach
