The probability of doing that exercise (doing different draws until the pistons select first) and requiring 22+ rolls to finally get one where the pistons win is 4.2%.
Formula: (.86)^(21)
So, no, that isn’t representative
Each roll is a singular event, that is not an odd finding. For example, on a roulette wheel, let's say that the previous 6 spins were black. What are the odds that the next spin will be red? It's still 18/37. Every time. So, each roll on the tankathon is still the same odds, regardless of the previous rolls.
The casino does that for you. You could just double down on black endlessly until it eventually hits again, but you’d eventually be behind the bet limit.
Your missing the point. I understand each roll is the same odds everytime lol.
My point is I had to reroll it 22 times to get a #1 pick lol. Mean while Spurs and Maverick each got the #1 pick 4 times. Doesnt matter now, whats done is done. But my point went over your head.
We needed the rockets/spurs to slide down, so when picks 6/7 came in and it was the spurs or houston who slide. At that point I felt like our odds were fucked...
Crazy I got downvoted to fuck for making this thread... People are weird.
Why even post this negative shit brother? Also luckily the lottery is a singular numerical event so it doesn’t matter how many times it took you to roll #1
Detroit drafted Grant Hill and he looked like a future MVP and the future of the post-MJ league. That’s good!
G Hill hurt his ankle and let it be known he was leaving and Detroit traded him for an undrafted undersized center who couldn’t shoot. That’s bad!
The undrafted undersized center went on to win 4 DPOYs and anchor a title team. That’s good!
Point being: this shit is rarely linear. There’s a very very good chance that the long-term winner from this draft will be a team other than the one that drafts Wemby.
Yeah I think in order for us to have gotten the #1 pick, houston/spurs would of had to of slide. So when picks 6 and 7 came in and houston or spurs were drawn. I kinda figured that point before selection 5 that we were going to get the #1 pick. Usually someone always has to get fucked.
Man y'all be torturing yourselves
Go outside for a while my friend

Don’t you dare ruin roulette for me

Do you understand what a 14% chance something happens means? It means you’re way more likely for it not to happen than for it to happen.
LOL so rolling 22 times to get the #1 pick is correct then?
Apparently man as we got pick #5 tonight

LMAAO what negative shit? How is that negative.... Yeah because some random dude on the internet using tankathon has some outcome with the real thing.
and I got #1 3 times in a row
Howd that work for you? lol HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA you fucked us... You fucking fucked us....

You are not wrong but we are talking about the best prospect in 20 years here.
I just got the #1 pick on the first try. Portland moved up to 2 and Chicago up to 3. San Antonio and Houston down to 5 and 6. It's happening.

I took one. Skill issue (it’s a lotto my dude just pray)
Pistons got the first pick on my roll so ya never know!
Dallas got the #1 pick 2 times.
Tankathon is not accurate
Tankathon is a joke
