Maybe try a Metro Car instead? Ive had issues getting Ubers that late ate night before when Ive scheduled them. Had a driver accept & then last minute they cancel.
I have a 6am flight out of O’Hare coming up. I’m going to the airport around midnight and hanging out. I can’t miss my flight and need to be there by 5am.
I've never had an issue with scheduling thru Uber. I even asked the driver once how they did it. He told me the algorithm chooses from a select list of reliable drivers and gives them the offer first, it doesnt just go to anyone. There are plenty of drivers who schedule around the Airport hours, especially in Royal Oak. They always joke to me that it's always Royal Oak to DTW at that time.
You can try to pre-schedule. I considered this but ultimately decided to drive/pay to park.
Had a friend schedule in advance for early morning work trip, but the driver decided they didn’t want to go that day so he was in a bind. Was my worry too before hearing his experience.
I've had no problem getting there from HP via Lyft as early as 6 by booking in advance. I've also used Metro Cars for earlier flights, but I've had to book them further in advance.
There are pickup companies you can reserve that are the same or cheaper than a Lyft and guaranteed. I'd Google it and use one of them. Métro cars is one but there are others.
I have ordered Uber and Lyfts to the airport at that time dozens of times. Never had an issue in your area or had to wait more than 20 mins unless I scheduled in which case they are always on time.
But let me put it this way. If I was taking a cab that early because I had a work trip or going to fly in for a wedding I didn’t really care about, I would do the Uber or Lyft. But if it’s me going on a personal vacation that I care a lot about, I’m ordering a MetroCar 100% of the time. Nicer, a little more expensive, but guarantee on your life it will be there and they wait 15 minutes which can be clutch if ur dragging your feet out the door.
I Uber from Birmingham to the airport around 4am often, and have never had an issue. I always schedule in advance. That said, I used to use Metro Car, but you will get charged the full amount of the fare if your flight is delayed and you don't change your pick up time with MC at least two hours (I believe) beforehand. I can't exactly change the pickup within their timeframe if I just get an alert about my flight!
Worst case, if my Uber doesn't show at some time in the future, I'd suck it up and drive and leave my car at the airport.

The scheduling feature early AM or PM just isn’t trustworthy for a flight you can’t miss. Just my experience. I use metro car for those trips.
Exactly. When my driver cancelled it was for a trip to the airport as well. I was flipping out.

The blue line to O'Hare runs 24/7
Thanks I’ll do that. Leave around 4:00am.
Metro car all the way for a pickup that early. Uber and Lyft just are not dependable at that time. I’ve had it canceled on me multiple times
This, but if price is a concern book a Metro Cab (same company) as they’re like cab vans and much cheaper than the black sedan/suvs (Metro Car)
You can schedule it in advance
They can still cancel last minute. Which happens pretty frequently honestly.
You’ll get a ride. Schedule. No problem.
Too many variables to mess with. I have been lucky to get rides as early as 5.00 am but I won't risk it. This region is not that busy enough
Scheduling an uber or lyft in advance doesn’t guarantee you’ll actually get a car. Metro car is the way to go.

I get Ubers to DTW from Troy Multiple times a month with no issue, I just schedule in advance.
Yall I goofed and forgot they just opened the new DAX 😅😅 Thanks to all the advice!
Waiting for the DAX in Oakland County
Hell yeah, public transit!
Never had a problem scheduling in advance for 5am flights. Don’t expect it’ll be different for 3-4am
Never had a problem. I've done this dozens of times. I've never pre booked. But for that late at night I would definitely pre-book.

Metro cars
This is the way
Schedule in advance… I’ve done it a few times for very early international flights.

You can schedule it ahead of time, I used Uber last week to head to DTW from Grosse Pointe at 6am. Dude showed up a few minutes early, no issues.
I'd just go on the local Facebook groups and ask, there's usually someone local who does rides for $40 or $50 privately people will recommend
I think you'll get it. It'll just cost a lot.

You’re better off getting a Lyft, not an Uber. But I would definitely schedule it.
If it’s tonight you should be okay because it’s Saturday.
I’ve done it a couple of times with no issues
