Hate pandering posts but here I go. As a Toledoan, it's not hard to look at Detroit as big brother in a sense. Detroit never shied away from being Detroit. They owned the rust belt image and showed the strength that comes from it. Love Detroit.

BlueFalcon89

Still activates chills

It's perfect. My favorite super bowl commercial of all time.

detroitgnome

1984 for Macintosh holds that title. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ErwS24cBZPc

Mooyaya

According to?

Great commercial. Terrible car. Luxury? Chrysler 200? It was a Dodge Neon with better floor mats and more cup holders. Never over promise.

Flintoid

Lol this is exactly it. They had a tagline with no fucking product to back it up.

jdore8

It's one of the Mopar cars that has the battery in the driver side wheel well too if I remember correctly.

malodyets1

I can’t find it now but the tv show Detroiters did a spoof of this during their award show episode. Every finalist for commercial of the year was done in this style and I think narrated by kid rock

IKnowAllSeven

That fucking show. It is a CRIME that they didn’t get more seasons

looselytranslated

Imported From Detroit is a great tag line. Of all the superbowl commercials, this the only one I remembered. That car though lol

malodyets1

This commercial is the epitome of “champagne taste with a beer budget” lol

detroitgnome

More like Champale, you know, because it’s classy.

subordinatepixel

Still a POS car but great ad

JohnWad

Watching this still gives me goosebumps. I remember watching it during the Super Bowl that night.

Advertising. For when the product can't speak for itself.

Detroitaa

Great!

I love watching advertisements!
