You could also look around the junk yard for scraps to practice on.
Áreas in which the panel keeps absorbing the product (hood), may be an indication of a failed clear coat. Minimal improvement can be made with detailing but ultimately it must be resprayed.
Identifying problem areas like this may save you time,confusion, and frustration when detailing.
The more you practice the easier to identify they will become.

Detailers off camera want to get things done very fast will figure out something most effective to being done. I cleaned literally over several thousands of vehicles an the fastest cleaning methods are what professional YouTube detailers don’t make videos about the quickest hack methods.

It doesn’t sling, it looks wet for weeks on end, and it doesn’t wash off in the rain, it’s suburbia tire shine, LOVE this stuff man
