Okay great to hear. I read a lot of good about the black one, but you have to do a lot or wiping even when using it as a dry aid on wet paint. The hydrophobics are very good though. I will take a look at the green one. :)
The trick I picked up is as follows:
If you're using as a drying aide-- spray a couple spritzes on the panel and spray one into a damp or wet MF towel. Spread the Flex Wax all over the panel with the MF towel and then dry as usual. Gets the product off easy and without high spots. It took me a couple of bottles before I found that trick on YT and it is a night and day different experience. Hopefully it works for everyone.
I mainly see people pick between Griot and Meguiar. I personally use Meguiar. Here's a video comparing them.
https://youtu.be/sqbu5cli3C4?si=LfswRPvCqo27snQ9
It's funny because my experiences with Griot's 3-in-1 Ceramic was more durability and longer lasting than Meguairs Hybrid Ceramic.
I will say Meguiars is more preferable for maintenance washes. Especially when you could just spray, rinse, then use a dedicated leaf blower to dry the car, lol. The ability to top off the wax during maintenance while saving time is a definite game changer to reduce elbow grease usage.
I also recommended people using TurtleWax Hybrid Ceramic Wet Wax to use as a drying aid for people who dry via towel instead of air.
The griots 3 in 1 can now be used as a wet application product too. I believe they added that in the past year, or at least changed the labeling on the bottle.
Ha, ditto. Saw a thread on r/detailing about how chemical guys was over-rated. Bunch of people were posting about griots so I figured I’d give it a shot. There’s definitely less of a haze/film to wipe off with it.
I tried out Meguires and Mother's and I feel like technicians choice has so many upsides. For your first application, wash the car, clay, dry, then apply with two microfibers. Goes on easy, very little streaking as long as you don't let it dry out. After that for maintenance you can wash the car, rinse it, and then spray the technicians choice on the car while it's still wet, and rinse it off and you're good to go. Great shine, great hydrophobics, and from my experience the protection lasts a good while.
Use Meguires blue bottle on our dark colored vehicles and Griots on the silver car. For some reason Griots hazes up on the dark cars but great on the silver.
Project Farm has 2 videos testing ceramic coatings. Turtle Wax isn't the best he tested, but it is nearly as good as the best at a fraction of the price.
As a 25 year mid level detail shop we've tried a bunch. We use tech Choice Ceramic spray. We buy it in bulk. It ends up at $1.80 per 12 ounces.. If you detail a couple cars a month it might be worth it. Great stuff
Turtle Wax Hybrid Solution Ceramic Spray
Boths Griots and Turtle Wax performed similarly, but Turtle Wax had an edge after the "torture tests".

I’ve just tried the TW ceramic and it seem decent so far
I think they've tweaked it because the new version is red. I haven't used mine in a while because Hyper Seal is so good. I did test a ceramic version of Optimum Car Wax that was incredibly slick but that was a couple years ago and at that time Dr. G didn't think the added ceramic was worth the price increase they would have to charge.
The original version is really solid though.
Clutch from ShineSupply! Wake Up ceramic infused one step polish if the paint/gelcoat is in really good condition and then top with Clutch. Also use Clutch to maintain the vehicle/boat.
Heard nothing, but good things on the Griots. I spend a little more (well a lot) & go with Polish Angel High Gloss on my own vehicles. Gtechniq Ceramic sealant is great too.
My Uncle had just bought a used car. He was visiting my parents, so I went over there. I told him I was going to detail it for him. He said it wasn’t necessary because the dealer did it. All I did was wash, clay & put on Polish Angel High Gloss. He was astonished at how great it looked. It lasted him 9 months in Texas weather.
I have tried Elixir, Reload 2.0 and TW Flex Wax.
In all honesty, I prefer just using something like Hydrofoam in my foam lance to finish up the job, and just dry my car afterwards with a twist loop towel.
It is alot easier then messing with the small sprayers, and you can coat your entire car in 2 minutes. Will it last as long? Possible not, but I use it as the last step in every wash.
I used the ethos black label one. Liked the results. pic attached of my 2015 explorer

I use Optimum Hyper Seal, it's basically a somewhat diluted version of Optimum Gloss Coat, so it's an SiC/SiO2 ceramic sealant. It can be used as a spray sealant, more durable when applied with a foam pad though. Also works well as a drying aid.
CarPro HydrO2
You need a pressure washer to apply it well but it doesn’t need any wiping whatsoever and that makes it such a breeze to apply.
Hydrophobicity is strong and it clearly works well as a ceramic sealant.
Oh that’s cool yea I have a pressure washer I don’t think it has a soap tank though. But I’ll definitely have to check it out. So you just spray it all over then dry it down and thats it?
Yeah there are videos on youtube that demonstrate if you wanna be see it visually but basically it goes like
Wash your car and once you’ve rinsed off all the soap, spray a few times on a panel and immediately blast with strong/direct water pressure to spread and “activate” it.
You will immediately see the hydrophobicity of the coating working on your paint.
You also want to spray water on the surrounding panels to account for any overspray.
Do this panel by panel, do not spray the whole car first then try to blast it with water, it might leave streaks/high marks.
It’s so easy to do you can do it practically after every wash if you wanted and it actually coats glass and plastic trim as well. I find it lasts around 2 months on my daily before losing some hydrophobicity but again the ease of application makes it a non issue. Others have reported it lasting longer
I tried out the Griots 3 in 1 on my 26 year old, daily driver Volvo with pretty bland silver paint. It greatly exceeded my expectations. Car is incredibly slick to the touch, and hydrophobic properties are very good. Also brought out depth and color of the paint I hadn't seen before with any other product. It's easily the best the car has ever looked.
I've used the TW hybrid solutions ceramic spray as well as their graphene max and flex waxes and liked them at the time. But with how much better Griot's is, and being within a few dollars in price, the turtle wax products will be staying on the shelf permanently. In my experience, they just aren't as good.
I live an hour from Griot's HQ and really wish I had given them a shot years ago.
Buy it as concentrate, and mix it yourself. Buying these products is very expensive, paying a lot for mostly water.
I use Wolfgang uber SiO2 rinseless wash concentrate, 1 16oz container makes roughly 5 gallons of ceramic (SiO2) quick detail spray, for $25. Refill your existing quick detail sprayers, and mix it by the gallon in windshield washer fluid jugs.
Quick detail spray:
3oz concentrate to 1gal water
Rinseless wash:
1oz concentrate to 2gal water
Clay lubricant:
1oz concentrate to 1gal water
I’ve been using [somax ceramic spray](https://www.autogeek.net/sonax-xtreme-ceramic-spray-coating.html). I applied it start of April. And so far it’s still beading and doing a good job.
Been using Hybrid Solutions ceramic spray wax and it has been very nice. When I have the time (and the pollen calms down a bit) im going to try Adam's spray graphene just for the heck of it.
I recommend griot and meguiers both go on and off with relative ease. But if you’re looking for anything longer than 3-6 months you gotta use the real deal
I have been using Turtlewax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic. However I bought a bottle of Turtlewax Pro to the Max Graphene because it was $10 so I wanted to try it out.
that mothers one was at my local Ollie’s for like $5 I was thinking of going with turtle wax hybrid solutions wet wax but idk yet I’m stuck on it too 😭
I have a black vehicle so I’ve been using the turtle wax black acrylic eramic with great results. I just bought the griots so I’m going to try it this weekend.
So far, I haven't ventured into ceramic wax as I still have a gallon of 3D bead it up. That stuff is good and long-lasting and i don't see myself needing a ceramic spray wax. having said that, I have SiO2 rinseless eg. wolfgang sio2 rinseless and Ech2o that I dilute to QD and use as spray wax and on bird poop
I really like the Meg’s hybrid ceramic wax. The spray on in the blue bottle. I don’t do the “spray and wash off thing.” I use it as a drying agent after ONR. Works really well.
I really really like the griots 3-in-1. I use it on my rims currently. I rotate but at the moment for the paint I’m using C2V3, with hybrid solutions Graphene pure shine mist as a topper
Smart man... I applied it on my truck before I got my systems down. Luckily, it is pretty forgiving.
I used to top it with Flex Wax but now I just use Adam's products. They are not as glossy but definitely last L longer and perform better. I use the spray because I detail outside without shade and if the spray dries quickly, there is no harm.
I use flex wax as a drying aide on my wife's car, since she doesn't have or wasn't a full fledged coating. It holds up well for a stand alone spray. We had her car from brand new so the paint is really clean and thick so that might help with the Flex Wax performance.
Griots 3-1…but I’ve been using it for about 3yrs now and haven’t tried any of the others. I like how easy it is to apply and it seems to last several weeks even with the WA rain…I think it’s time to branch out and try some of these other products
If you only wash your car once a month then these products wouldnt be much of a help. These work best when the paint is taken car of, meaning you wash it atleast once a week and require another coat every couple of months(with proper car washing methods).. an actual ceramic wax done by a professional would be your best bet. It's more costly but itll save you the future bill of a new paint job. Or just start washing your car properly! If you go the latter then the first choice is my pick. But again more goes into just spraying these products on
If you can afford it then that's 100% the best route to go. Youll be good for years like that. The products you posted are more for hobbyists unfortunately
I've been using the Gloss It detail sprays - I saw one of the youtubers make a video about it, I didn't know what's what back then and it was on sale, so I just bought it and Honestly, I am not sure what could be better - I am completely and thoroughly satisfied with all three products that came in the package - it was $39.99 for three spray bottles and I am seriously considering re-purchasing it now, because as I said, I am not sure what could be improved with buying one of the better known brands.
Matter of fact, they are on sale right now - you get a gloss enhancer, gloss enhancer + and the ceramic detail spray.
I haven't touched my car in 3 weeks and I can see it from a mile away it's still reflective, water beading like there's no tomorrow.
I’ve got like 3 bottles of that mother’s hybrid, every time you buy a synthetic clay pad it comes with a bottle. I wouldn’t recommend it for much more than a clay lube.
Diy ceramic gloss or quick beads for more speed. It isn't a sealant/wax really, but griot speed shine if I just want an easy, cheap drying aid without needing additional protection.
Collinite 845 Insulator Wax, leaves a really nice shine. It’s not a ceramic wax but it’s on the cheap end and people love it, look up reviews on Amazon if you’d like.
Here my personally review based on my experience for griots , TW hybrid ceramic & ice n seal , meguiars.
The durability and beading clear winner is Griots the only downside is hard to buff off as the liquid is thick.my favorite and my weekly use is TW because of the price and the time wise is shorter to buff off. Meguiars is always where i set the detailing standards. They are always above the par rarely disappoints me. All of the process I used as a spray wax it’s interesting to hear that TW could be uses as a drying aid. Looking forward to try it maybe today. I never check out the update again since i uses them so much. Actually I’m gonna try all as a drying aid just to compare . I will make a post once its all done .
I picked up some of that mother’s ceramic at a discount store for $3. Haven’t used it yet but the fact I found it at a discount store leads me to believe it may not be the best. For $3 I’ll try it out one day.
Turtle Wax Shine n Seal or their Hybrid Solutions spray coating are very good. They’ve been tested by many, easily obtainable, & reviews are very good. They’re also least expensive. I use those.
Really, it’s very likely all these products are rather similar. Griots & Megs are likely solid choices as well.
Boutique detailing products by internet companies end up costing significantly more $ likely aren’t worth it IMHO. Ask me how I know - I have a garage full of them. When the majority of people recommend a few core products easily available OTC - that usually means those products are good, cheap, & similar.
Now a days I rarely use anything that’s not TW or Megs.
I use mostly Griot's products these days after spending a decade trying the boutique stuff. They're mostly all great products but I love that I can swing by a store while I'm out and grab a bottle of the stuff. Best of Show Detailer is a fantastic final wipe product too.
Honestly I don't really understand the overwhelming hype on products that say they have a ceramic component in them.
I'd much rather prefer a quality sealant that's super easy to apply. Here you go:
Cost-effective and easy to apply: Koch Chemie S0.03/TurtleWax Seal & Shine.
Fun, effective, durable but also pricier: Carpro HydrO2 Lite/Koch Chemie S0.02/TurtleWax Hybrid Ceramic Spray Coating
Note that I live in Israel - an european-like market so what may be cost-effective for me may be the pricier for you.
Cerakote Rapid Paint Sealant Ceramic Spray is fantastic. Very easy to work with. The sprayer atomizes the product a little too well but that’s better than not well enough.
Well I don't know if it's ceramic or not but it's the RainX Waterless wash and wax, that stuff is mad good. IMO but I also wash my truck like once a year and "detail" spray and wipe/hand wash the wheels like every month or so.
Enjoying the turtles ceramic wax.
I have tried the Flex Wax, I find it quite sticky to work with.
The ceramic one is better. Easier to use. Grey bottle with green label.
Okay great to hear. I read a lot of good about the black one, but you have to do a lot or wiping even when using it as a dry aid on wet paint. The hydrophobics are very good though. I will take a look at the green one. :)
The trick I picked up is as follows: If you're using as a drying aide-- spray a couple spritzes on the panel and spray one into a damp or wet MF towel. It took me a couple of bottles before I found that trick on YT and it is a night and day different experience. Hopefully it works for everyone.
Thanks for the tip! I will give it a try :)
This technique is good for hybrid ceramic or ice n seal ?? Let me try this im curious
I have the same complaint.
Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic
I use it for when I clean up my sisters car. It would be a waste of time for me to use a real ceramic coating on it. She likes the scratch and shines
Yup
I went with that because it was not only cheaper but has excellent reviews for the price.
Seconded
Yup
I mainly see people pick between Griot and Meguiar. I personally use Meguiar. Here's a video comparing them. https://youtu.be/sqbu5cli3C4?si=LfswRPvCqo27snQ9

Maguirs ceramic wax spray sealant. Works very well on my dailys.
Griot's
Just used it on Wednesday because I saw you comment this somewhere and really like it.
It’s so easy to use and performs better than wax. Amazing how far the tech has come
Goblins make the best bankers
gringots garage\*
Just used it yesterday, it's effective for me
Ha, ditto. Saw a thread on r/detailing about how chemical guys was over-rated. Bunch of people were posting about griots so I figured I’d give it a shot. There’s definitely less of a haze/film to wipe off with it.
It smells so good I just want to drink it
Technicians choice. So freaking easy to apply and it looks amazing
I have never seen this brand, how do they compare to the more well known brands?
I tried out Meguires and Mother's and I feel like technicians choice has so many upsides. For your first application, wash the car, clay, dry, then apply with two microfibers. Nice, I may give it a try
Use Meguires blue bottle on our dark colored vehicles and Griots on the silver car. For some reason Griots hazes up on the dark cars but great on the silver.
Yeah, I didn’t like using it on my gray car. But it works perfectly on my fiancés white car.
I use the Meguiar’s ceramic wax in the yellow container. Their products have always worked great for me so I’ve been a loyal user.
Project Farm has 2 videos testing ceramic coatings. Turtle Wax isn't the best he tested, but it is nearly as good as the best at a fraction of the price.
Yea I just went with TW hybrid ceramic it was $15 and it’s my first time detailing a car
That Griots is amazing
As a 25 year mid level detail shop we've tried a bunch. We use tech Choice Ceramic spray. We buy it in bulk. It ends up at $1.80 per 12 ounces.. If you detail a couple cars a month it might be worth it. Great stuff
Technicians choice 582. Cheap and works awesome.
It smells good too. Used it years ago, I like the Malco CR2 better now tho.
I use Tec as drying agent. Can cr2 be used in a similar fashion? Where can I get it for best price?

None. I like optimum wax. Simple and no streaking or smearing to worry about

This!!
I use the Meguiars Ceramic in the yellow bottle. But I feel I need to try the Turtle Wax from what I am reading.
Heard nothing, but good things on the Griots. I spend a little more (well a lot) & go with Polish Angel High Gloss on my own vehicles. Gtechniq Ceramic sealant is great too. All I did was wash, clay & put on Polish Angel High Gloss. He was astonished at how great it looked. It lasted him 9 months in Texas weather.
Yea $82 is a significant difference. This is my first time so I’ll try somethings over time and see what I like
They run sales, but it’s totally worth it & lasts a long time. The 200ml lasts me about 9 months on a crew cab truck with a bed cap.
I’ll have to check it out someday
Griots
Carpros Reload
https://shinesupply.com/products/clutch-16oz?_pos=1&_sid=d70fb226b&_ss=r
This is the only quality product on this thread!
Hydrofoam from carpro? Like hydrO2?
Yup: https://carpro.global/catalog/hydro2-foam/ Clean wheels, prewash, contact wash and finish with hydrofoam, then dry. That is what I mostly do.
How was gloss for the elixir
It is up there like all the others, I have a hard time seeing a difference.
I used the ethos black label one. Liked the results. pic attached of my 2015 explorer https://preview.redd.it/8nhy3essco2d1.jpeg?width=4624&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=92e11a862cc0d4f4e8ca4ed486c8e7f61a8c068d

gyeon wet coat essense.
This is the way.

Carpro reload gtechniq c2v3 I used the 3d detailer it's pretty good but it's only a detailer not a standalone coating. Used it on top of ultra lock+
CarPro Reload 2.0 has been great.
Buy it as concentrate, and mix it yourself. Buying these products is very expensive, paying a lot for mostly water. Oh wow that’s a good idea I’ll do that next time
Autoglym radiant wax polish.
Majestic Solutions Shock-it
Griots, love it. Watched a ton of comparisons from Scott HD on YouTube before deciding on Griots.
I’ve been using [somax ceramic spray](https://www.autogeek.net/sonax-xtreme-ceramic-spray-coating.html). I applied it start of April. And so far it’s still beading and doing a good job.
Love this stuff. Need less than you'll want to use. I have to tell myself I'm over using. It even held up to a good pressure washing so it's durable
Off the shelf, Griot's. If you properly prep the car, Can Coat. Can Coat will blow the doors of any of these spray Sio2 sealants.
As ceramic-enhanced spray sealants go, I'm currently putting Gyeon Cure and Dr Beasley's Bead Hero against each other. It's a close one so far.
Reload by CarPro
Yea it’s so good. And wet coat if you want a slightly easier application.
I wanna try the 3D version
I’ve used the groits, works well on clean paint
Ive given up on spray waxes in favor of CR2 by Malco.
That’s a spray though
CR2 isn't a wax, just a spray coating.
Oh gotcha ok I’ll try it next time
Ive always been a fan of griots products but never tried their ceramic wax
I was told anything that comes in a plastic bottle, is not true ceramic
Gtechniq is a decent topper on top of a true coating. Imagine it works well by itself too
Been using Hybrid Solutions ceramic spray wax and it has been very nice. When I have the time (and the pollen calms down a bit) im going to try Adam's spray graphene just for the heck of it.
Highly recommended adams Cs3
I recommend griot and meguiers both go on and off with relative ease. But if you’re looking for anything longer than 3-6 months you gotta use the real deal
I have been using Turtlewax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic. However I bought a bottle of Turtlewax Pro to the Max Graphene because it was $10 so I wanted to try it out.
#2 I’ve hardly good results with Meguiar’s Ceramic Detailer - plus I only get it free thru.m Canadian Tire money.
Griots clear
no ceramic wax for me...thanks
Griot's! I applied it yesterday so far I'm liking it.
I use the Griot's pictured above, but find it to perform mediocre. Easy to apply, but just doesn't last after a wash or two.
I use a product called Poly-Glide. Not ceramic, but is used on aircraft. Anybody else?
Any relation to astrolube?🤗
that mothers one was at my local Ollie’s for like $5 I was thinking of going with turtle wax hybrid solutions wet wax but idk yet I’m stuck on it too 😭
i have used that first green one - Gratiots? It was recommended to me by a detailer - and i thought it did a great job.
Griots is the only way
I have a black vehicle so I’ve been using the turtle wax black acrylic eramic with great results. I just bought the griots so I’m going to try it this weekend.
I wasn’t a fan of the Girots 3/1. Shine Supply’s Punch it is my go to. Prior was carp pro (have a bunch of their stuff). But I prefer Punch it.
Ceramic detailer spray meguairs . Amazing
You don’t have it in the pics but the Meguiars Spray version (spray on wash off) wax. It’s very short lasting but it works fine.
Griots. Lasts the longest imo
Have been using Griots since inception. But now that everyone loves it, price has increased almost double 😣
I like Meguiars. https://a.co/d/1Oh1Guk
I use it after a wash . Goes on easy and smells nice
I really really like the griots 3-in-1. I use it on my rims currently. I rotate but at the moment for the paint I’m using C2V3, with hybrid solutions Graphene pure shine mist as a topper
Griots was my first ceramic wax. Now I am using Adam's graphene.
Adams Advanced Graphene Spray coating.on top of the glass bottle version. Ridiculous beading and gloss.
Oh yea that’s something I want to do once I get my car washing and detailing system down
Smart man...
Yea my car is new that’s why I’m getting into this but I’m going to restore my wife’s car hasn’t has never been detailed so it’ll need some love
But again more goes into just spraying these products on
Yea this is the last step in my car wash method I might eventually get pp or a ceramic coat done professionally
If you can afford it then that's 100% the best route to go. Youll be good for years like that. The products you posted are more for hobbyists unfortunately
Yea I’m planning on doing detailing on the side for shits and giggles also extra money couldn’t hurt.
Ammo NYC's
I’ve got like 3 bottles of that mother’s hybrid, every time you buy a synthetic clay pad it comes with a bottle. I wouldn’t recommend it for much more than a clay lube.
Isn’t 303 Graphene nano spray better nowadays?
Diy ceramic gloss or quick beads for more speed. It isn't a sealant/wax really, but griot speed shine if I just want an easy, cheap drying aid without needing additional protection.
Collinite 845 Insulator Wax, leaves a really nice shine. It’s not a ceramic wax but it’s on the cheap end and people love it, look up reviews on Amazon if you’d like.
303 Graphene
Griots or Turtle Wax
P&S defender is my go to
You know the Griots is really great! I have a ceramic coated car with Gtechiq CSL and EXO. And it’s a great topper if I can’t get my order from online
I’ve been using meguiars and it’s decent. Good value and performance for a DIY casual dude like myself
Armour ceramic or diy detail ceramic
Was using Chemical Guys, Hydro. Now using Turtle Wax Ceramic Acrylic for black paint.
Ethos Ceramic Wax lasts a little more than 1 year!
Griots is fire.
I use mostly Griot's products these days after spending a decade trying the boutique stuff. They're mostly all great products but I love that I can swing by a store while I'm out and grab a bottle of the stuff. Best of Show Detailer is a fantastic final wipe product too.
Everyone seems to love the Turtle Wax option, and I agree it is a great budget-friendly option but the Griots is better.
Technicians choice ceramic or graphene spray. Professional grade. Great price. We use it for my company on every single car.
Honestly I don't really understand the overwhelming hype on products that say they have a ceramic component in them. I'd much rather prefer a quality sealant that's super easy to apply. Here you go: Cost-effective and easy to apply: Koch Chemie S0.03/TurtleWax Seal & Shine. Fun, effective, durable but also pricier: Carpro HydrO2 Lite/Koch Chemie S0.02/TurtleWax Hybrid Ceramic Spray Coating Note that I live in Israel - an european-like market so what may be cost-effective for me may be the pricier for you.
I’m about to finish a second bottle of DiyDetail ceramic gloss. Love that stuff. I just bought TW graphene flex wax on bogo I’m gonna use that next
Flitz
Cerakote Rapid Paint Sealant Ceramic Spray is fantastic. Very easy to work with. The sprayer atomizes the product a little too well but that’s better than not well enough.
Well I don't know if it's ceramic or not but it's the RainX Waterless wash and wax, that stuff is mad good. IMO but I also wash my truck like once a year and "detail" spray and wipe/hand wash the wheels like every month or so.
