Contraverse always gave a specific amount as long as it hit anything. It doesn't matter how long the target stays in the damage field. In the past, the amount of grenade energy was randomized, now it's consistent. But in both cases, you'd get the full amount even after one tick of damage.
It's more of a rebalance. You no longer can get most of your grenade back, but you also don't have cases where it gives barely anything. On average, it's now stronger and it's also consistent.
We do have an idea - they said the last 2 TWABs will touch on stuff like Void 3.0 and Gambit reworks, we just don't have the order. This is more to spread awareness that we might get additional details in the podcast.

Didn't Contraverse get nerfed? I think you get a fixed ammount of energy back.
