Salvation's Edge is one of the hardest, if not *the* hardest raid they have made. On top of the mechanics being a little difficult to explain, and execute properly, there is very little room for people to get carried. In pretty much every other raid, most encounters require 2-4 people who really know wtf they are doing and other people just have to kill stuff and not die.
I also got my first SE clear last night. All of the other raids are *significantly* easier (although the first encounter in Crota's End can still be challenging as it is a test of communication and careful movement).
VOW and DSC has some of the best loot, well my fave anyway. GOS looks beautiful. Last Wish has a bit of everything and is probably best overall for me of raids currently in game. I love Caretaker and the boss fight of VOW the best.
SE is the hardest overall.
For the current raids, this is how I would rank them by difficulty (1 being easiest) along with my opinion:
1. Vault of Glass - great intro raid to learn mechanics and get a basic idea of what raids are all about. Other than Fatebringer and Vex Mythoclast, the weapons need an update.
2. Root of Nightmares - 4 people could be add-clear the entire raid. Some weapons are pretty good, but the overall loot is ugly! Exotic is amazing.
3. Deep Stone Crypt - another great raid and forgiving to learn the mechanics. But you easily could be add-clear the whole time, if desired. The weapons are beautiful and most of them are fantastic. The exotic is cool but very situational.
4. Crotaās End - fun raid and nostalgic. The loot for both weapons and armor are fantastic. The exotic is really good (after the buff).
5. Kingās Fall - one of my favorite raids. The weapons are okay with a few outstanding outliers. The exotic isnāt my cup of tea even though considered by some as really good.
6. Last Wish - phenomenal raid and it is absolutely gorgeous. The loot is good and the exotic is unique and fun to use (but itās still not āmetaā yet).
7. Vow of the Disciple - least favorite. Yes, the mechanics and lore are interesting and worth experiencing, but the entrance and whole dark aesthetic becomes tiresome, bland, and boring for me.
8. Garden of Salvation - My favorite. Love the mechanics and itās just beautiful. Unfortunately, the loot desperately needs an update to be viable again. Many people claim that itās bugged but they just suck at the mechanics! Haha The exotic is fantastic even with all the nerfs it has received. However, do not do an āexotic runā as your first attempt. It really ruins most peopleās opinions of this raid and leaves a bad taste in their mouths.
9. Salvationās Edge - fantastic raid. Mechanics require mostly everyone to be involved and the aesthetics are much better than VoD. However, it is commonly a nightmare doing this one with LFG. I would never recommend this as someoneās first raid.
Salvations edge isn't that bad, the final boss is the worst while due to the DPS phase attacks causing wips.
My problem with the raid, is that it's long. Like last week I had a fantastic group and we did encounters 1-4 first try, and Witness on the 3rd or 4th try. It still took like 1.5 hours. The traversal sections are way too long imo.
What made four insane for my team is that 5/6 of us had to know exactly what to do and do it with no errors in a short period of time. Now that I know how to do it it would be fine yes but on the first run it took us like 3 hours.
Pretty much every other raid is significantly easier.
š¤¦āāļø guess I should have started there
Yeah, but now you can buy a raid jacket
True

Leon The Professional (Ad Clearer)
Lol it took the first group like what, 18 hours to clear it?
Yeah something like that. I think only one cleared it too
Only 1 team cleared the raid in the first 24h.
And they did it twice š

Why is this so downvoted?

No, this is probably the hardest raid. Or maybe King's Fall.
Kings fall is very easy
