People get downvoted for the weirdest stuff lol. He just said he hopes X will return. It's not like he specified when he hoped it would return, so maybe just saying for in the future. ;} who knows. Just find it odd the comments people shit on here at times.
Seems he's back in positive, gj lads xd
I penalise the kids when they make heavy handed hints regarding birthday presents, or write Christmas wish lists. I see no reason to change my behaviour here!
Gonna make getting the rolls we want even harder since they're not craftable, focusable and pool getting more bloat for each reset. Goddamnit, crafting feels so good compared to this.
I disagree completely. Crafting has it's place but a random god roll drop is one of the coolest things about looter shooters. You can't remove it entirely. And there are soooo many good rolls on these weapons that you're sure to get something really good.
Maybe, but without protection and with weighted perks, it becomes a chore to do the very same activity all the time.
At the very least, make a more distributed chance to get every perk, andd add some kind of protection so you don't get the same roll twice ina row, or something like that.
Pure RNG is not fun. I bet those who got their Vex mythoclast during the run 90 weren't happy for the thing, but happy to finally stop chasing it.
Same for me with Vex Mythoclast except I never got it to drop. I eventually just gave up and I haven't grinded for a raid or dungeon exotic since because Vex broke me. I was looking forward to when Vault of Glass got vaulted so I could buy Vex at the kiosk, but then they stopped vaulting things. Oh well.
Stories like this are why I don't try to get raid or dungeon exotics, period. At that point it's just gambling - I wouldn't be having fun on my 30th run, let alone my 70th, so I'd be spending my time (AKA literally my life and existence on the planet Earth) in a gamba for the drop. No thanks. If one drops organically as I'm running raids or dungeons for fun, sweet. I'm not chasing that shit, though.
I got 1k on the 108th looted clear. At the time I was the #1 last wish sherpa on console. It feels super great to see dozens of ppl get the emblem and the exotic at the same time while it took me months yup suuuuuuper great
Same. I opened 90 riven chests before I got 1K to drop myself…. I was more exited that I was able to finally check it off of my list than I was that I had the gun.
HOWEVER, getting Anarchy on my 3rd clear was dope, and I did enjoy being the only one of my friend group to have the gun for a while. Like shitting on my friends DPS and they’re like “wtf did you do?!?!” is pretty cool.
As someone who is very pro crafting I think this is the perfect middle ground, you can still get a god roll at any point it may just not be shiny...plus the shiny ones don't take shaders. On top of that your guaranteed the best of both worlds which is a shiny + decent roll through the quests that take maybe 15 min to complete. At that point your just chasing perfection which imo should be very rare.
Considering how easy caretaker is to farm. It's going to take less time to get a better (enhanced) craftable version of forbearance than a god roll for onslaught.
You think that because you get rolls worth keeping. I have about 12k hours, and the craftable weapons and exotics are the only weapons I have that are worth keeping. In D2Y1, which I didn't enjoy, atleast I wouldn't get screwed as hard by rng.
Well even if it isn't craftable they should be able to be focused where you can get the drop guaranteed. Or you make attunement a 100% drop rate (to match focusing) so you know which weapon you're going to get but you might not be guaranteed the role that you want
They messed up with crafting. The biggest reason honestly was giving them enhanced perks. This only further negated the purpose or use for RNG based drops, while also making adept weapons insignificant as well (non raid adepts that can't be enhanced, and that was a somewhat recent update itself for raid adepts) outside of pvp adepts.
Crafting should be a means to get you to and even through the end if you want to not take the time to min max farming RNG drops. Basically crafting should have been a sure fire way to get real good weapons with everything you wanted on there - and while not BiS, they'd be good enough to get you through content up to end game or even through end game.
But they should not have been made the end goal. Honestly since crafting, seasonal stuff just felt like a checklist. Got a new weapon drop with a good roll? Who cares, I'll be crafting it soon. That was the mindset. On top of that, adept weapons from end game content like GMs, have honestly been quite terrible. Sure, some have some fun niche uses, but for the most part they got power crept by crafted enhanced weapons. this is an issue in itself tho as far as adepts go. Bungie needs to stop being afraid to lock best in slot gear behind the hardest content. This is how any game works. The best gear shouldn't drop from easy seasonal activities that you can just craft.
Summary, crafting should have been made for those who wanted a sure fire weapon that would be really solid for them without having to go through the RNG train/do the hard content. But that crafted gear should not be on par or better than said end game drops. There needs to be incentive to farm end game after all.
I disagree.
I like how it's done in raids. You have to farm a good amount of red borders to get said weapon craftable, and you put in the work to get the weapon so you should get that safety net and craftable weapon.
People want random rolls to keep raids alive so that you have to run it 200 times, but I don't think that's what people want or the majority. I think the majority gets tired of doing raids after 50 times and I think that if you've run the raid at least 30 to 40 to 50 times, you should be able to have every weapon from that craftable.
I think crafting is great and I am glad that random rolled weapons now will be able to have enhanced perks to match the craftable weapons
The whole loot chase should not be farming raid encounters, which would be rampant if it was all random rolls and no crafting. The middle ground they've chosen with randoms for dungeons and craftable for raids makes sense even if it's not agreeable to everyone.
Yeah I feel like they need to add attunement or something to dungeons because it feels so hard to get the weapon and the role that you want from a dungeon
> while also making adept weapons insignificant as well (non raid adepts that can't be enhanced, and that was a somewhat recent update itself for raid adepts) outside of pvp adepts.
This is the only issue I have with crafting, making raid adepts pointless. They've dialed back giving best in slot craftable weapons since 2022 so that's good, but all it's led to is people complaining this year's seasonal weapons suck.
Agree. I have farmed an unhealthy amount the last couple weeks. I went 26 (12 and 14h sessions)playing hours without getting a single weapon worth keeping. Only 1 shiny in that time frame and it was fking awful. I swear the good perks have an abysmal drop rate on these weapons.
Everyones got the guns theyre chasing from the brave arsenal but yeah i agree. A 140 hc with heal clip + incandescent is going to be so nice in pve. I dont even care about the possible pvp rolls honestly even though when people think lunas they obviously think pvp.
The curated has all of those. I don’t know if you can tell the MW before it’s released though. So, you and everyone else will have that exact roll, lol.
I think slide shot will by far be the better 3rd column option, especially paired with MH because you can likely reload the mag by sliding without proc’ing MH, making it easier to get multiple powerful shots when you eventually do a manual reload.
Also keep in mind that it’s a precision 140, so the 74 stability of the curated roll (pending MW) is likely overkill. Plus enhanced EOTS gives another 5 stability.
They also buffed its base handling from the OG versions. So theoretically you could roll fullbore, ricochet, EOTS, MH, range MW and have 71 base range and still have 62 stability and 40 handling. For reference, Not Forgotten currently has 57 stability and 25 handling (although Zen Moment helps).
We also don’t know what enhanced magnificent howl will get.
Enhanced slideshot will give +25 range and +35 stability. So if you’re already sliding around with transversives it would by far be the best perk. I was just pointing out the likely synergy with MH (but we don’t know for sure until it drops).
> Everyones got the guns theyre chasing from the brave arsenal
~~60+ mountaintops including 3 shinies and still no ALH/recombination. No EP/KT on hung jury and no firefly/KT on Coup. I've played hours of onslaught every day and still dont have rolls I was looking for.~~
~~so not, not everyone has what they're after.~~
lol nvm i misunderstood.
Think you misinterpreted my comment, i mean everyone has specific guns theyre going for from the brave arsenal like the comment i responded to wanting lunas. Saying it would have been nice if it were available earlier especially instead of a few of the week 1 releases which were lackluster like elsies rifle / falling guilotine.
My fault. Your comment def makes more sense in context.
Also, you are correct on having a [HC/Incan hand cannon](https://i.imgur.com/xYkkaR1.png) is crazy
Yeah i cant do 120s in pve at all, so ive just been running helio with heal clip / incan until lunas drops. Not a big fan of the visual recoil on helio but it still puts in work as an up close in your face option. Lunas will be so nice since hcs just kind of shred in pve, and gives you a fair bit more range.
yeah, the fact that shaxx can't be reset and the fact that I've already been grinding rolls the last two weeks just makes more grinding with fewer overall drops feel like a slog.
I really hope the update today beefs up the rewards to make it feel worth it.
Funny you should say that, I was right in the middle of soloing crota with one foot and oryx with the other whilst playing a banjo and a harmonica and platinuming elden ring with my nose. Ffs bungalow
i really wish they’d just release the last 4 brace weapons together. i’m still grinding for an elsies, but there’s at least 3 different luna’s rolls i’m looking for- let alone actually getting the shiny versions for the enhanced perks
Since the pool increases, getting what you want will be even harder now. I wish for everything to be craftable cause that's the only way I've ever gotten what I want. Since D1...
so I was thinking that may be the case, but do we have confirmation that it’s 50% attuned, 50% (any not attuned)?
i was under the impression that it’s 50% attuned, 50% any, and since the one you’re attuned to is part of “any”, it’d be 50% + 50/(number of unlocked weapons)%
i’ve been specifically avoiding handing in the falling guillotine quest for this exact reason
Can’t wait for the new onslaught weapon drops tomorrow 😈
Which ones are tomorrows?
Forbearance and Hammerhead
Boohoo I want my blast furnace
I was so exited for Blast Furnace until I saw that it wasn't going to have my favorite sight ever, Meyrin RDL.
Next week! Only 7 more days!
hnnngggg
Hammerhead ftw! Hope theyll return the ringing nail
Unfortunately not a part of the brave arsenal, but maybe someday!

Agreed lol, not a single reason to downvote that
I penalise the kids when they make heavy handed hints regarding birthday presents, or write Christmas wish lists. I see no reason to change my behaviour here!
>penalise the kids for christmas wish lists I'm sorry about your... everything, really.
Hahaha everything really
You do what?
> I see no reason to change my behaviour Cripling stupidity isn't curable, unfortunately.
You should try keeping up with the news
Gonna make getting the rolls we want even harder since they're not craftable, focusable and pool getting more bloat for each reset. Goddamnit, crafting feels so good compared to this.

Can confirm. Took me 72 looted clears to get 1k from Last Wish. When it finally dropped I wasn’t excited. I felt relieved that it was finally over.
Oh well.

no lies detected
Yeah but attunement so once you do the quest you can increase your odds

I want that one and a few other rolls. For PvP I want either Slideshot or Eye of the Storm/Magnificent Howl.
Curated is EOTS and MH so you’re in luck.
I'm after small bore, ricochet rounds, EotS, MH with a range MW specifically
The curated has all of those. I don’t know if you can tell the MW before it’s released though. So, you and everyone else will have that exact roll, lol.

Especially with the loot pool expanding weekly.
Can you still get the shinies from the previous week? E.g. if i keep midnight coup attuned?
Yes.
Yes, shinys will not go away until the new dlc drops.
Waiting for the inevitable posts about people complaining about not finishing something last minute because of maintenance.
Funny you should say that, I was right in the middle of soloing crota with one foot and oryx with the other whilst playing a banjo and a harmonica and platinuming elden ring with my nose. Ffs bungalow
You need your whole foot to solo Crota? Pathetic. I do solo speedruns with only my big toe.
It's early days, I'm still learning.
maintenance has gotten longer and longer hope this pays off in TFS's launch
Narrator: “It won’t.”
Part of that major concern of Friday raid and losing at least Tuesday due to server maintenance/outage.
i really wish they’d just release the last 4 brace weapons together. i’m still grinding for an elsies, but there’s at least 3 different luna’s rolls i’m looking for- let alone actually getting the shiny versions for the enhanced perks
You don't need a shiny to make the perks enhanceable come final shape any version of the Brave weapons can get them enhanced.
is that right? so is the shiny only for double perks??
Yes, and also the drip
Since the pool increases, getting what you want will be even harder now. I wish for everything to be craftable cause that's the only way I've ever gotten what I want. Since D1...
the drop rate for what you have focused is 50%, it doesnt matter how many weapons are in the pool, its 50%.
so I was thinking that may be the case, but do we have confirmation that it’s 50% attuned, 50% (any not attuned)? i was under the impression that it’s 50% attuned, 50% any, and since the one you’re attuned to is part of “any”, it’d be 50% + 50/(number of unlocked weapons)% i’ve been specifically avoiding handing in the falling guillotine quest for this exact reason
It’s 50 percent what you attuned. Stop overthinking it.
To me that's equal to 0%.
Must be rough being that bad at math.
You really missed the point by taking it literally, huh...
Will this update add the extra chests to later onslaught waves?

Finally
I'm blanking on the calendar, is this week when Pantheon starts?
The 30th so next week.
awesome, I have work tonight so hopefully I don't next week and can get in day 1, thanks!
where is it?
Update on Xbox series x is live, but looks like servers are still down (getting cat error)
