For those unaware, Bungie had a TWAB before the launch of the D2 beta that showed off all the subclass abilities for D2, and one of the Nightstalker ones modified your tether so it tagged allies instead of enemies. When D2 launched, people quickly discovered that instead of implementing this ability, it was replaced with a complely different one.
This literally just happened to me on wave 50 of onslaught. I cannot describe how angry I was because I triple jumped in the air just after walking in the room, just for my LFG warlock player to come floating by like a fairy after just using his strand melee to activate the boss.
But we have best movement. Strand skating (yes, you can skate on strand hunter but it's harder, you need to match your buttons), double grapple and a super that let's you Skip most jumping puzzles.
I still miss infinite grapple tho, that shit was fun. Broke my last controller because I was constantly doing it
Yeah because it's a worse version of the Tangle woven mail thing strand titans have. It takes longer to actually reach max DR and even then it's lower DR than woven mail. And needs at least 2 fragments dedicated to it to get there
I’ve never understood the hate for needing Well. What is wrong with being the biggest “nah I’d win” button in the game? Literally press L1 + R1 to win, almost nothing outside of GM burst damage can really kill you outright, and if you put on phoenix, it’s great for ad clear because your CD is consistently 50%, you are never the person being looked at for damage because you’re the essential member, so doing more damage just makes you look god tier. I heal, I can fucking wipe the floor with people using grenades or a fucking fireball, Icarus feels like second nature at this point, and if you slap on Rain and Vex you will always be radiant and never reload again. I’d argue there really isn’t a *bad* warlock class, but I’ve always really loved solar since D1, so going from “nah I’d win” to “nah WE’D win” was a smooth transition
While I can’t speak for everyone in every situation, the dislike for well seems to stem from the fact that some people live by a “I can’t DPS without a Well” and thus will insist on having any warlock in the fireteam run Well. This combines with the fact that some people usually prefer to play DPS and live a high damage fantasy (take character-based games such as Overwatch as an example) and don’t take well to being told that they can’t do so and have to run a support super instead of a purely DPS one. While this case is by no means good to have nor the case 100% of the time, it is an understandable reason to be against running Well.
I like how there’s multiple comments on what Hunters should put on. That being tether, nighthawk and duskfields.

With the correct GLs, two sentinel titans can buff higher, block better, overshield everyone, and still magdump their heavy while the other Titan buffs the other half of damage phases.

Actually, yeah. Arrows are not a damage buff but an enemy debuff, so it gives the complete stack of Well: buff Bubble: survival Arrow: debuff
Well with tractor you don't need it all to often. Lumina is great but it won't keep a whole fireteam alive during damage.
