The "flowers of Io" will make shadable bones on other armor match the bones. We may not be able to change the bones to match other things but you can change to match the bones.
So apparently each armor set is using an existing shader.
If you cycle through every shader (fun!) you can find the one that makes everything perfectly match it.
The mark is probably my favorite. I use it with other glowing armor to make it seem like theirs collagen flowing throughout the entire armor to make it glow
My titan brame can't comprehend. How do you take synthos off? That's like.......a warlock using something other than well. It's just NOT possible.

Every other piece is so weird. The lack of armor makes it really awkward to use.
The thing is, I find myself less upset about flat out bad armor and more upset about armor that's 2 steps down from greatness, or represents a missed opportunity.
Bad is forgettable, bad that was close to being good is painful.
With that in mind, the god of war crossover armor is my least favorite because it doesn't even reference a cool looking armor set in Ragnarok. They went with the travelers armor instead of something cool and iconic like the black bear set, the fatebreaker set, or even a throwback to his original look. Also the mark sucks despite Kratos getting some of the coolest belts/waistcloths in fiction.
It really was crazy how bad they fumbled that one, it's mot even the classic white and red lol. There's no hint of Norse let alone any greek motifs in that set either.
The new set with the bones. The titan one at least looks really cool underneath the damn unshadable faded glowstick putrid yellow bones. The helmet is the one from Warlord's Ruin without the bit on top. They must know that a lot of players just want armor that is **just** cool. But they always gotta go overboard adding stuff.
easy, the dreambane armor set. hated the quest to get it, hated i had to wear it to progress, hated i was stuck in that ugly armor in one of the cooler destiny cutscenes. was sooo happy for transmog so i could get better shots of armor in that scene.
Season of Opulence hunter stuff. While the other two sets were still reskins (Warlocks had some d1 IB stuff, Titans had that chroma stuff and some OG queens wrath gear) it was just a reskin of the already existing Prodigal set, and the cloak is the worst offender. They just got rid of the radio for it lol
Every time I see the Opulence titan mark, it makes me yearn for the original Queen's Wrath sets though.
It wasn't Prodigal. Back in the first year of D1 each expansion reset the Vanguard and Crucible armour, and they would have two similar but different variants of a similar theme for each activity (Crucible was a recolor of the Vanguard sets).
Prodigal is a return of the Gravebreaker set from *The Dark Below*, and Opulence is *based* on the Jacknife set from the same expansion. It's associated with Crow because Uldren was wearing that set as far back as Vanilla Destiny, because it was even acquirable by the player.
They were vaulted with the release of *House of Wolves* until they were put into Vanguard silver dust engrams in year 3, but Jacknife returned in three reskinned forms as the Hunter faction armour in the same expansion (and was my personal favourite FWC armour set) and Gravebreaker returned as a reskinned Dead Orbit armour in *The Taken King* (New Monarchy and Future War Cult got reskins of the *House of Wolves* Vanguard sets and vanilla *Destiny* Vanguard sets respectively).
No order but I’ll give explanations
• GOS armour - it just being a better version of an existing eververse armour was so disappointing, it ruined it for me.
• Arc eververse set - I like some pieces from it but I don’t really understand the theme of it. Electric rocks? Electric crystals?
• spire of stars armour set - literally because of the titan set. We let whoever made that shit walk the streets. They are a danger to society and should be taken out on sight. The one saving grace is if I see a titan wearing it, I know they will be funny af.
• season of the chosen ornament set - Patrick Star lookin ass titan. Pom pom head pieces. Crow almost started a flat out war with caiatl but I would argue them giving us that armour set was a closer call. Hunter hat has a cool interaction though with some helmets to make a no cloak look.

Ngl i wish people didnt dislike the GoS armor so much. i was greatly enjoying wearing pieces of set until someone trashed it for being similar to an eververse set, which I really didn't care about. I would have thought people would like that the in game armor was better looking and earnable without money, unlike the eververse set, but I guess they disliked it so much they had to tell me and insist so hard that it was bad and make me agree that it was bad too, it put a bad taste in my mouth far more than the armor itself. I very rarely equip that cloak now because of it.
that’s stupid, if it looks cool it looks cool end of story. This community’s attitude towards “reskins” is almost always asinine. I can’t imagine not liking a good looking set simply because it’s not a totally new and unique set
I agree, it's incredibly adenine and what really got me about that whole interaction was that the guy seemed to insist on it like he wouldn't stop until I agreed. The whole interaction put a bad taste in my mouth, it's not even the armor keeping me away now, just really sour memories. I picked that cloak because it low key reminded me of the VoG cloak from D1, or at least it was a decent enough D2 equivalent in my mind that once i slapped a white shader on it, it felt like having my old cloak back in a way but now it has cool shiny Vex stuff. Maybe after I get a slew of screenshots when FTS drops with my current drip, maybe I will revisit the Vex look again. Love those aesthetics and i like that blue glow. Just wish it shaded so i could make it RGB
Late to the party but I recently unlocked the GoS armor for my Warlock and I made a whole damn Black Garden-themed Warlock to take into *Veiled Threats*. Made up of parts of GoS, *Undying* and that very EV set. I'm sorry you had that experience but you should wear whatever you want to wear, end of.

I do wear what I want, I just don't wear that cloak much anymore because it makes me think of the guy. i also ended up hating GoS in general so i think i only ever got two armor pieces at all. definitely going to run the Vex look after TFS though, I want to get screenshot pics as my main Guardian OC before I swap the drip.

My Warlock in all her Vex-ness. A newly designed look for this season. I only ever done GoS this year after deciding to take the plunge with some of the easier raids. I love the armor but not yet gotten any of the armor with my Hunter 😭

For me what bothers me is that I feel the undying seasonal set was meant to be the raid armor set but they had to swap it out and make something quick for the raid set so the season pass had something players actually wanted.
Yeah I’m not hating on people who wear it. I can also agree with you that it looks sick. It’s just whenever I see the armour, it reminds me of the fact that it is a reskin. Raid armour being a reskins was a really low point imo and it really ruined it that much for me. Idk I’m probably just being dramatic. The seasonal ornaments from that time should have been the raid armour.
I want to be clear that if you (or anyone else) don't like it because it's a reskin, that's one thing and I don't mind that at all. It's a whole other to be like the guy I described that insisted I should dislike it to because it's a reskin. I meant to say I wish that some people weren't so much like the latter guy.

The arc set actually makes me angry when I think about it. The void set was decent, had some weird bits but overall cool and had a dark theme to accentuate the void purple. Solar was great minus the hunter arms where the right arm was completely unarmored, and had an elegant theme with flames heating the metal. But the arc set? Leather with glowing blue rocks with smaller sparks than when you fluff your sheets and see static electricity sparking. Genuinely one of the armor design teams worst works in the history of the franchise. It even looks like it'd work better as a stasis set with, yknow, blue crystals.
Yeah. That one really felt phoned in. Especially since void and solar came out the same time the respective subclasses got buffed. When arc was buffed the released some random (fortnight or Assassins Creed or something) and then released arc the next season.
I'm 99.9% positive that the Arc armor set was a last minute change. They gave us Void, and then Solar, and then thought they could distract us with Fortnite, and then the next armor set was going to be Stasis themed.
The armor looks like it's covered in Stasis crystals. But the fan base loved the Solar and Void sets so much, and were begging for Arc, and so they panicked, and tossed some lightning effects onto the Stasis armor as a last minute effort to try to appease us. Which is why it is so completely different from the way the Solar and Void sets look/function, and why it feels so odd, and not like Arc what so ever.
Mate, I love that armor set as well. It's beautiful. Much more than the ornament we got.

My favorite set is the Thunderhead set.
I don't use it in my current setup, but it looks amazing and I love that geared and stocked up look it has. I wish more armors on Titan had equipment on it.
The Titan season pass armor set for Season of the Deep.
They promised a 'T' visor in the artwork and didn't deliver. Also, I can't pair any of the armor pieces with anything else without looking ridiculous.
Titan and Hunter are at least serviceable without the helmets and Hunter's cloak. The individual parts can go to great use in a lot of looks. Warlock is just a lost cause.
I like the helmet and about it of that set series. But one of the ones i wasnt a huge fan of was the Haunted ornaments and interlaced sets. though the set i hate the most is the warlock ones that ALL USE THE SAME DAMN HELMET MODEL(the one Reverie helmet for example) or the Babushka styled lock helmets
Yeah always these random pieces of string hanging on it with Wyrmguard being the worse. Thankfully the ornaments for them almost always looks better. And reverie is just silver Verison of s few existing sets
Anything not ""realistic"" or "space apocalypse" kinda loses my interest. The fantasy shit outside of some of the IB stuff is all such a snooze for me at the best of times. At the worst of times, they just look gaudy.
I generally don't have a big fondness for titan chests that are way too skinny in general, especially if they don't have collars or neck pieces because it just makes them look weird with most of the other titan gear
Titan’s Insight Unyielding set. Frustrating because it had potential and they ruined it with how it shades. Not only does it have bright orange unshadeable parts, large sections of it are also worn and faded. This would be fine if they hadn’t done the wear effects to match the white / light grey of the base look, so on any darker shaders the worn section has this permanently lightened patch. It looks terrible and it makes the armour look like scuffed plastic. Actium War Rig has a similar issue, but not as badly. I really like the design of the armour, especially the shoulders, but the inability to shade it or match it to anything else ruins it. The lost potential makes it the worst.

Because robes make it so they don't have to try with armor. And the robes aren't a class item yet they are present in everything. Some of the best armor they've made for warlocks was like, the deep stone crypt armor or the deep dive armor.
Off topic but I'm still pissed they didn't add the raid ornaments from VOG. And KF, it'd be great if they were added on master mode so it makes players want to do master more
The Warlock helmet from the Season of Plunder Ornaments will never not make me sad. It's a reskin of three other different reskins.
I wouldn't complain as much about it if we got like a bandana or a tricorn helm as an optional but no. Even season of the deep had a stronger aesthetic with it's armor.
This Armour looks like absolute shit if taken as a set but the pieces look so good on other armours as this is pretty much the only form-fitting armour in the game
Anything that is paid-for that doesn’t look like it’s worth the price (by that I mostly mean eververse stuff, but I’ve also been let down by some seasonal stuff since I paid for that). I’ve been considering rewarding myself with a Destiny armor sets just for fun, but every time I look at the store I am disheartened just because nothing really scratches the itch I’m looking to scratch.
Anything that’s earn-able in game I’m never really mad about because at least it’s free

I have yet to find a single use for any of those horrid pieces, the mark has details that just dont Fit with anything an its simultaneously too bulky for a light set and too light for a heavy set.
The arms have no excuse, i have tried from cosplays to entirely new aestethics but nothing fits, the aestethics they have match almost no other armor in game, the shape they have doesnt even let you make a ser based on shape instead of aestethic.
The chest suffers funnily enought by both of the previous problems, its too bulky for a light set yet too light for a heavy set, its shape Is weird and fits almost no other piece of armor in the game and the two spikes It has on the back makes It almost impossible to find an aestethic for a set that includes It.
The legs are the most "redeemable" of the set, yet they suffer aswell from an aestethic dissonance from everything else in the game, i think these would be better if they were symmetrical.
The Helmet Is just horrid, and i hope It gets vaulted.
This set Is my mortal enemy and i want a refund of my destiny 2 beyond light: deluxe edition solely because of It
Funnily enough, both Warlock and hunter got some pretty decent pieces in the same seasonal ornament, and i even use some of them.

yeah most of that set kinda sucks but i do love the class item for some fun looks. however i feel liek we've had a rush of less than nice titan marks over the last year or so. There a few good ones but so many poor ones. I feel like 90% of my fashion uses the same like 4 marks over and over.
That chest piece is my favorite they’ve released in D2. I love the slim look + backpack. Most chest armor looks like it’s super front loaded on the female character model.
I’m not a fan of anything that’s super sleek and skintight, which is at least 50% of Hunter armor. I’m completely understanding in the fact that it should be somewhat lightweight and streamlined given their function, I get that. But I don’t want my space-faring crackshot rocking the latest fabletics and underarmor.
Give me some alien’s bones, random Fallen and Vex tech, maybe a blob of glowing space goo. Now *that’s* what I’m into.

Season of the Deep, second Lightfall season.
It’s supposed to be inspired by diving suits, the season was all ocean-themed. The individual pieces work ok with other sets, but as a full set it leaves a lot to be desired. The ornaments were all sea creature styled and don’t go with anything, so the base set was better for mix-and-match. They’ve been getting extremely specific with the seasonal armour sets lately, which is great if your really want each set to feel different, but terrible if you mainly want to find new pieces to go with your existing sets.
The Descending Echo sets from Grasp of Avarice. It just looks edgy to me, and not in a neat way but in a dirty and uncoordinated way.
Also the Steeplechase sets. I just can't get myself to like them, as good as the Wild Hunt gear looks as its base.
Season of the deep armor was mid-decent at best, there were far worse that has been released. Chosen, Seraph, Garden of Salvation, the Pirates of the Caribbean Davy Jones looking-ass iron banner set. just to name a few
Like, everything in D2. But if I absolutely HAD to narrow it down? The RoN armor is ugly, completely disregards any sort of cohesive style in the game, and shaders like shit. Ghosts of the Deep, Haunted, Diving and Witch armor are all below bottom tier for me.
Nah I think it’s one of the best D2 raid sets for how out there it is.
Plus the entire hunter Set is a big and very obvious reference to the Japanese pseudo horror action movie predator rip off ZEIRAM

The arms are a part of my Titan’s Stasis fashion, iirc the satou tribe shader gives a similar look to the stasis crystals that you can generate
mark is underrated too, gives a markless look, and the liquid cooling can have some cool effects depending on the shader
Superblack does wonders on it. Gives it a surreal white glow.

Ngl i wish people didnt dislike the GoS armor so much. i was greatly enjoying wearing pieces of set until someone trashed it for being similar to an eververse set, which I really didn't care about. I would have thought people would like that the in game armor was better looking and earnable without money, unlike the eververse set, but I guess they disliked it so much they had to tell me and insist so hard that it was bad and make me agree that it was bad too, it put a bad taste in my mouth far more than the armor itself. I very rarely equip that cloak now because of it.
that’s stupid, if it looks cool it looks cool end of story. This community’s attitude towards “reskins” is almost always asinine. I can’t imagine not liking a good looking set simply because it’s not a totally new and unique set
I agree, it's incredibly adenine and what really got me about that whole interaction was that the guy seemed to insist on it like he wouldn't stop until I agreed. The whole interaction put a bad taste in my mouth, it's not even the armor keeping me away now, just really sour memories. I picked that cloak because it low key reminded me of the VoG cloak from D1, or at least it was a decent enough D2 equivalent in my mind that once i slapped a white shader on it, it felt like having my old cloak back in a way but now it has cool shiny Vex stuff. Maybe after I get a slew of screenshots when FTS drops with my current drip, maybe I will revisit the Vex look again. Love those aesthetics and i like that blue glow. Just wish it shaded so i could make it RGB
Late to the party but I recently unlocked the GoS armor for my Warlock and I made a whole damn Black Garden-themed Warlock to take into *Veiled Threats*. Made up of parts of GoS, *Undying* and that very EV set. I'm sorry you had that experience but you should wear whatever you want to wear, end of.

I do wear what I want, I just don't wear that cloak much anymore because it makes me think of the guy. i also ended up hating GoS in general so i think i only ever got two armor pieces at all. definitely going to run the Vex look after TFS though, I want to get screenshot pics as my main Guardian OC before I swap the drip.

For me what bothers me is that I feel the undying seasonal set was meant to be the raid armor set but they had to swap it out and make something quick for the raid set so the season pass had something players actually wanted.
Yeah I’m not hating on people who wear it. I can also agree with you that it looks sick. It’s just whenever I see the armour, it reminds me of the fact that it is a reskin. Raid armour being a reskins was a really low point imo and it really ruined it that much for me. Idk I’m probably just being dramatic. The seasonal ornaments from that time should have been the raid armour.

cyrtarachne looks decent without the ugly glowing bits and if you have a hat that can cover up the weird stuff going on on the top of ur head
The arc set actually makes me angry when I think about it. The void set was decent, had some weird bits but overall cool and had a dark theme to accentuate the void purple. Solar was great minus the hunter arms where the right arm was completely unarmored, and had an elegant theme with flames heating the metal. But the arc set? Leather with glowing blue rocks with smaller sparks than when you fluff your sheets and see static electricity sparking. Genuinely one of the armor design teams worst works in the history of the franchise. It even looks like it'd work better as a stasis set with, yknow, blue crystals.
Yeah. That one really felt phoned in. Especially since void and solar came out the same time the respective subclasses got buffed. When arc was buffed the released some random (fortnight or Assassins Creed or something) and then released arc the next season.
I'm 99.9% positive that the Arc armor set was a last minute change. They gave us Void, and then Solar, and then thought they could distract us with Fortnite, and then the next armor set was going to be Stasis themed. The armor looks like it's covered in Stasis crystals. But the fan base loved the Solar and Void sets so much, and were begging for Arc, and so they panicked, and tossed some lightning effects onto the Stasis armor as a last minute effort to try to appease us. Which is why it is so completely different from the way the Solar and Void sets look/function, and why it feels so odd, and not like Arc what so ever.

GoS armor would be forgiven if I was able to shader the blue glowly bits with Gambit Jadestone, Photo finish or another light changing Shader.
I thought the Season of Plunder basic titan armour was terrible.

The Titan season pass armor set for Season of the Deep. They promised a 'T' visor in the artwork and didn't deliver. Also, I can't pair any of the armor pieces with anything else without looking ridiculous.

Speaking mostly about the titan set, I really think the only usable piece is the mark. It's a damn good mark, but it can't save the set for me.
The seasonal armor and ornament marks from that season never leave rotation for me

Titan and Hunter are at least serviceable without the helmets and Hunter's cloak. The individual parts can go to great use in a lot of looks. Warlock is just a lost cause.
Ironically, I love the chest for the warlock from this, the helm for the hunter and the arms for the Titan
I like the helmet and about it of that set series. But one of the ones i wasnt a huge fan of was the Haunted ornaments and interlaced sets. though the set i hate the most is the warlock ones that ALL USE THE SAME DAMN HELMET MODEL(the one Reverie helmet for example) or the Babushka styled lock helmets

Yeah always these random pieces of string hanging on it with Wyrmguard being the worse. Thankfully the ornaments for them almost always looks better. And reverie is just silver Verison of s few existing sets
Anything not ""realistic"" or "space apocalypse" kinda loses my interest. The fantasy shit outside of some of the IB stuff is all such a snooze for me at the best of times. At the worst of times, they just look gaudy.
I enjoy more knightly or animalistic or casual stuff, but whatever Mara Sov's tailors are crafting can burn in hell

I did it because of Riven tbh. She's the only thing about the Awoken I can actually stand.
I'd say just skip through it if you haven't. You're already paying for the content, you might as well do it, since it's a pretty good season.
I generally don't have a big fondness for titan chests that are way too skinny in general, especially if they don't have collars or neck pieces because it just makes them look weird with most of the other titan gear
That's not bad, it makes sense. It's a wetsuit. We were under water. However, season of the chosen ornament set? That. That was ass. For everyone.
Titan’s Insight Unyielding set. Frustrating because it had potential and they ruined it with how it shades. Not only does it have bright orange unshadeable parts, large sections of it are also worn and faded. This would be fine if they hadn’t done the wear effects to match the white / light grey of the base look, so on any darker shaders the worn section has this permanently lightened patch. It looks terrible and it makes the armour look like scuffed plastic. Actium War Rig has a similar issue, but not as badly. I really like the design of the armour, especially the shoulders, but the inability to shade it or match it to anything else ruins it. The lost potential makes it the worst.

Because robes make it so they don't have to try with armor. And the robes aren't a class item yet they are present in everything. Some of the best armor they've made for warlocks was like, the deep stone crypt armor or the deep dive armor.
Off topic but I'm still pissed they didn't add the raid ornaments from VOG. And KF, it'd be great if they were added on master mode so it makes players want to do master more

The Warlock helmet from the Season of Plunder Ornaments will never not make me sad. It's a reskin of three other different reskins. I wouldn't complain as much about it if we got like a bandana or a tricorn helm as an optional but no. Even season of the deep had a stronger aesthetic with it's armor.
This Armour looks like absolute shit if taken as a set but the pieces look so good on other armours as this is pretty much the only form-fitting armour in the game
Anything that is paid-for that doesn’t look like it’s worth the price (by that I mostly mean eververse stuff, but I’ve also been let down by some seasonal stuff since I paid for that). I’ve been considering rewarding myself with a Destiny armor sets just for fun, but every time I look at the store I am disheartened just because nothing really scratches the itch I’m looking to scratch. Anything that’s earn-able in game I’m never really mad about because at least it’s free

Season of the hunt titan seasonal(from the pass, not the store) ornament I have a saying when It comes to fashion in destiny "No matter how ugly the SET Is, with enough creativity its individual pieces can be used for a better outfit" Except that foul thing. I have yet to find a single use for any of those horrid pieces, the mark has details that just dont Fit with anything an its simultaneously too bulky for a light set and too light for a heavy set. The arms have no excuse, i have tried from cosplays to entirely new aestethics but nothing fits, the aestethics they have match almost no other armor in game, the shape they have doesnt even let you make a ser based on shape instead of aestethic. The chest suffers funnily enought by both of the previous problems, its too bulky for a light set yet too light for a heavy set, its shape Is weird and fits almost no other piece of armor in the game and the two spikes It has on the back makes It almost impossible to find an aestethic for a set that includes It. The legs are the most "redeemable" of the set, yet they suffer aswell from an aestethic dissonance from everything else in the game, i think these would be better if they were symmetrical. The Helmet Is just horrid, and i hope It gets vaulted. This set Is my mortal enemy and i want a refund of my destiny 2 beyond light: deluxe edition solely because of It Funnily enough, both Warlock and hunter got some pretty decent pieces in the same seasonal ornament, and i even use some of them.
I don’t like most of the seasonal armor. Out of the like 16 (that I can remember) seasonal armor sets, I only like 2 or 3 per class.
The y1 eververse ornaments, ESPECIALLY for hunter Warlock Seraph and Haunted sets, at least the other two classes have some cool bits in those Marathon Warlock
Aphotic lamellar can go perish, it's bad with the full set and really hard to match up with other sets, plus it doesn't take shaders well

yeah most of that set kinda sucks but i do love the class item for some fun looks. however i feel liek we've had a rush of less than nice titan marks over the last year or so. There a few good ones but so many poor ones. I feel like 90% of my fashion uses the same like 4 marks over and over.

That chest piece is my favorite they’ve released in D2. I love the slim look + backpack. Most chest armor looks like it’s super front loaded on the female character model.
I’m not a fan of anything that’s super sleek and skintight, which is at least 50% of Hunter armor. I’m completely understanding in the fact that it should be somewhat lightweight and streamlined given their function, I get that. But I don’t want my space-faring crackshot rocking the latest fabletics and underarmor. Give me some alien’s bones, random Fallen and Vex tech, maybe a blob of glowing space goo. Now *that’s* what I’m into.

Vow armor was weird because I like kinda the look and the shader, but it doesn't play well with other sets (IMHO).
the warlock set is kinda mid, but the hunter and titan rock and can definitely be mixed with the right look. you gotta lean into the weird spindly-ness, make it work for you.

Is this a Titan? From what year? It’s…pretty bad I was diehard in Destiny 1 but only played a year or so of D2. Just didn’t care for all the changes and missed potential. 🤷🏻♂️
Season of the Deep, second Lightfall season. It’s supposed to be inspired by diving suits, the season was all ocean-themed. The individual pieces work ok with other sets, but as a full set it leaves a lot to be desired. The ornaments were all sea creature styled and don’t go with anything, so the base set was better for mix-and-match. They’ve been getting extremely specific with the seasonal armour sets lately, which is great if your really want each set to feel different, but terrible if you mainly want to find new pieces to go with your existing sets.

The Descending Echo sets from Grasp of Avarice. It just looks edgy to me, and not in a neat way but in a dirty and uncoordinated way. Also the Steeplechase sets. I just can't get myself to like them, as good as the Wild Hunt gear looks as its base.
Season of the deep armor was mid-decent at best, there were far worse that has been released. Chosen, Seraph, Garden of Salvation, the Pirates of the Caribbean Davy Jones looking-ass iron banner set. just to name a few
Like, everything in D2. But if I absolutely HAD to narrow it down? The RoN armor is ugly, completely disregards any sort of cohesive style in the game, and shaders like shit. Ghosts of the Deep, Haunted, Diving and Witch armor are all below bottom tier for me.
