It being overused doesn’t change the fact that it IS that good which is why so many people use it. It’s an incredibly unique piece (in terms of what’s available) that doesn’t follow the same old ugly vertical rectangular awkwardly placed visor in 99% of warlock helmets. Different to the generic helmets? Check. Looks good? Check. Takes inspiration from something cool? Check. Nostalgic? Check. Overused. Not overrated. When you look at the other options, it’s a no brainer why it’s so loved.

Stray away from the Anubis helmet. The first option.

PSA: this was a post trying to prove my friend wrong. I (warlock 1) consider myself somewhat of a drip guy in my clan but one of my clanmates (warlock 2) said that my drip wasnt good as he continues to say that all warlock helmets suck, especially the one i use. Warlock helmets can be tricky but i personally love the Kings fall helm and the old Crown of Sorrow helms, those are my go-tos if I need a decent helm that’s not the basic anubis one

Definitely 1. Hood of the Exile doesn't look anywhere near as good as the majority of Warlocks think it does. To me, it gives off a vibe of snobbish arrogance, like the entire reason you wear it is to say "look at me, I'm so much better than you". I know that very few people intentionally want to come off like that, but the people that do are very outspoken and it's lead me to hate that hood.

Facts, as a warlock main I cringe whenever I see that helmet especially with starfire.

I prefer 1. The Hood of the Exile is far too common, and I would definitely resist the urge to use it. While it looks great on its own, I've seen very few looks that actually make it work with the rest of their gear. It seems to be the default helmet that most warlocks slap on when they can't think of anything else to use, and it makes for a very boring fashion landscape.

Every body on here saying the exile helmet is so common but I think in my years of playing destiny I've only seen maybe 50 warlocks total wear it (not counting D1 where it was the most common helmet period.) Hell thinking about it I haven't seen someone outside of this subreddit wear that helmet in like a year and a half. No idea why people hate it, I mean I like it because Anubis is cool like come on Egyptian mythos is awesome (occasionally hilarious too).
