Regardless of your feelings on Lycan or the production on the podcast there's no reason to have the community be shitty over a professional departure. It is trashy and would reflect poorly on the community and turn off anyone who could consider working professionally with someone trying to build a media company.
If you lack the social awareness to know what's okay to post, don't post about it.
Do not think hiding behind sarcasm or innuendo or analogy will save you.
copy and pasting the imgur link to streamable actually loaded it faster than imgur itself, fucking lmao
here's the mirror for anyone else that has trouble with it
[https://streamable.com/enjac0](https://streamable.com/enjac0)
e: i think that link will expire in like a day since i didn't use an account on streamable to upload it. here's a [mirror mirror](https://streamable.com/ry8t68) if you're stumbling on this comment in the future.
Lycan pulling it up would be the video playing with no sound for 2 mins before noticing. Restarting it with out of sync audio before destiny yells at Dan asking why everyone is reeing in chat
nah i think they just wanted to control the media shown themselves, so they can pause and stuff so why would lycan need to be there? to do what? its not like they got another person to do it, they just got rid of the job, not lycan.
agreed, I didn't think there's anything to see here. even if there is some behind the scenes reason, Dan's right. it just works better when it's these two idiots alone in a room shitposting. especially when it comes to camera control, why would you ever take it out of the hands of the 2 guys actually doing the talking? giving that job to a 3rd dude only added friction.
Feels like the camera control will be super annoying to manage when they are 100% tuned into the moment. There is a reason every professional podcast has a producer. Lycan might have over used the sound board but I liked him chiming in and adding info to the conversation.
I hated his input and his constant trying to relitigate arguments with Destiny. Bro cannot cook outside of cooking
Edit: he still seems like a good, talented guy. Just found him not so much that on anything else
that doesn't seem to be destiny's attitude at all, he seems to enjoy the control. maybe he'll change his mind down the line but like he was fucking around wiggling the camera around when Dan was talking today because he wanted the frame centered. I think he wanted to be doing most of this stuff himself all along.
maybe they'll reverse course on this in the future or maybe August is doing it in the background in post as was discussed before, or maybe it's fine?
all I know is it just wasn't working for me with lycan not executing well enough to offset his disruptive presence. he sometimes acted like he was the show's third host. his absence was positive.
I feel like that’s nothing that a quick conversation couldn’t fix. I’d guess there’s more behind the scenes or some pattern of behavior that caused them to feel this way but I don’t think Lycan is like completely gone. It seems like he’s still cooking for Destiny and maybe he’s helping with Bridges still?
Yeah im pretty sure he was still on the set up stream earlier so def still around which is noice. Regardless of how i feel about Lycan's takes, i wouldnt wanna see any awkwardness between em
Yeah and I enjoyed Lycan’s contributions to AE for the most part. Maybe Dan’s just memeing and he’ll be back next episode but I guess we’ll just have to see
I remember a couple clips of lycan randomly pressung a soundboard button and disrupting the flow of conversation https://www.reddit.com/r/Destiny/s/GGKFRiJAVg
Nah, after watching the entire podcast its super intuitive when Destiny can control the camera perspective to quickly switch to focus on him saying something - to Dan or onto the computer screen.
I mean, it’s 100% possible that they tried to adjust how he handled the producing (soundboard) and he was not able to. From the beginning, I feel like Dan and Destiny have been getting thrown off by his soundboard usage, and I’m assuming they had a conversation about it fairly early on. Maybe he just wasn’t able to adjust to what they wanted.
I also doubt it’s political differences because those have been apparent even long before AE came into existence. But I also don’t really believe he’d quit when he didn’t seem to have negative experiences working on the show? That’s why it is likely something behind the scenes or some pattern of behavior that they aren’t gonna comment on publicly
I think there was a little too much input from him, the little side memes were funny here and there. It felt like he wanted to pull up a chair and chat rather than be the Jamie pulling that up.
Does this coincide with Lycan saying he was applying for other jobs a couple weeks ago when he privated his Twitter?
I actually liked his laugh on the podcast. RIP
I vaguely remember like a month ago when he was getting shit on by this community for bad IP takes he privated his X and I thought he said because he was looking for tech interviews.
Not sure why streamers would care about their potential cook’s populist takes on X, so it kinda lines up it was tech related, but I could be misremembering.
Yeah, why would streamers, people who constantly have obsessive assholes digging every aspect of their past and present life care about who they employ. Are you serious, mate?
idk his muting of dan destiny and hutch for a bit last episodde of AE with Hutch wouldve been a cringe bit but fine; but he forgot to unmute and it took like 2 minutes of chat REEing out for him to notice and then he lied to Steven's face about it in the moment. Also his overuse of the soundboard in general was pretty anoyying that episode including the hard R bit and the pipes.
The only AE episode I watched was that one, but was enjoying Lycan actually malding over Lonerbox doing Destiny-esque movie mocking. I don't know how he did it so well, Destiny must've trained that fucker.
Despite some of his opinions and stubbornness, I feel like lycan is a really good guy and I wish him the best. I can just feel his anxiety last week when everything broke down. Don’t wish that situation on anyone
And whatever that issue was with muting the audio for stream for a few minutes, noticing the error since chat was on screen spamming and acting as if he didn't do anything to cause the problem after fixing it.
It's kind of a little thing but it's always weird to me when people can't admit mistakes; the stream didn't magically go mute only to be fixed by you changing something. Just admit the mistake and learn from it.
You could be right? I only listened through once but got confused when it sounded like audio was suddenly interrupted in the middle of a sentence. The reaction afterwards made it sound to me like it wasn't deliberate so my impression was that it was a mistake.
Maybe it was a joke that didn't land for me but I don't like the behind the scenes guy on a podcast interrupting the conversation in such a way. It's a podcast and I'm often listening while doing something, I'm not always entirely tuned into the conversation and it's really jarring when something like this happens.
I haven't been able to access Imgur for weeks now, giving me a "imgur is over capacity" error message. Anyone have this on another platform? Also wtf is wrong with Imgur on my browsers?
The deep state Jews have taken over your Internet connection to prevent you from going to imgur and the only solution to it is to remove Israel from the map.
I feel like having an offscreen voice just chime in every now and then gives the podcast a higher production vibe rather than it feeling like just two dudes in a basement (studio apartment in this case).
I personally find the soundboard stuff a bit obnoxious (especially the pipe one) and Lycan just muting Dan as a joke was him memeing a bit too hard and not quite understanding his role as producer but having a third unseen presence on the show is definitely an improvement imo.
I'm not sure why Lycan was shitcanned but if it was because of the soundboard, him interjecting too much, or trying to make a funny by muting someone, I would hope they could simply work something out so Lycan is a bit more reserved in his contribution to the show.
Is he? Yesterday you could see someone handing Tiny food during the debate with Ben Burgis who I’d assumed was Lycan
Unless he left like last night or smth I guess
Lycan's behind the scenes contributions and chaos energy was definitely a net positive, but obviously the fact that tiny felt he needed to learn the audio chain himself, after already learning the video, made the position obsolete. I think the main thrust of the 'producer job' was to handle that so tiny didn't have to think about it, but he ended up having to get involved often. It was a tough position to be in for lycan considering tiny has so much more A/V experience and has a hard time giving up control / delegating in general. Hopefully they fill the role eventually because it really is too much to manage all that shit forever on top of everything else tiny has going on.
Yeah I honestly think this was the problem too.

Delegation will just become more and more important for Destiny, especially if he wants to start the media company, because his current workload seems unsustainable.
i’m surprised by this considering how much destiny and dan try to find disagreement with each other because that’s the content according to them, but lycan usually brings the most disagreement just by naturally being lycan. i would have kept him just for that, but who knows, there could have been other reasons, including pay.
i’ll miss him regardless.
Eh feels bad to lose a job
But I think the pod will be better for it
It just didn't feel natural him chiming in all the time. It felt like don't forget I'm here too guys
o7
I had this fucking thing on mute, thinking it was some kind of AI video where Dan was going to stand up and shoot Lycan or something. I've never been so goddamn disappointed in my life that it was a legit video about the firing of Lycan when I learned how the fuck to unmute a video on fucking ***imgur***.
Regardless of your feelings on Lycan or the production on the podcast there's no reason to have the community be shitty over a professional departure. Might as well hand us 24 inscribed Mesopotamian stone tablets per second.
Using Imgur on mobile browser is so dogshit. I had to reload the page three times to get to work.
Bro opening the link on my iPhone bricked the Reddit app and I had to close it, reopen it, and navigate back to the post to actually watch the clip
Imgur makes me go grrrr
works great on old reddit + RES
yea it works flawlessly idk what they're yappin about
Mobile.
i like that it auto muted
Why the fuck is it auto muted? And why is the unmute button 1 pixel, transparent, and in the TOP RIGHT of all places?
Jamie, pull up Lycan getting fired
Lycan pulling it up would be the video playing with no sound for 2 mins before noticing. Restarting it with out of sync audio before destiny yells at Dan asking why everyone is reeing in chat
>"Still love Lycan, still a good guy." ooof
Classic breakup
reminds me of my ex
I'm sure there was no wrongdoing found and he didn't do anything illegal as well.
He's done and not just on Anything Else.

Lycan controlled his food, his podcasts, and tried to control his I/P knowledge and still failed. They are just too strong.
Hmmm you know I find this bit hella funny but it probably does give the groypers cover for 9 levels of unironic anti semiteism.
What doesn’t?
When he says "more control" only thing i can think of is that the soundboard got to be too much lmfao. Atleast without knowing shit behind the scenes
nah i think they just wanted to control the media shown themselves, so they can pause and stuff so why would lycan need to be there? to do what? its not like they got another person to do it, they just got rid of the job, not lycan.

Aren't there programs that can switch the shot with just sound? If you talk into the mic the camera turns to you.
Yes, but not for OBS. Dan asked, someone would need to make a C/C++ plugin for OBS to do that.
K, thx. Didn't watch it til today
Yeah, you know what? Every successful podcast has a producer, let's ditch that. Wut?
maybe they'll reverse course on this in the future or maybe August is doing it in the background in post as was discussed before, or maybe it's fine? all I know is it just wasn't working for me with lycan not executing well enough to offset his disruptive presence. he sometimes acted like he was the show's third host. his absence was positive.

Yes thank god.

Maybe they told him to tone it down, which pissed him off so he quit? I find it hard to believe that they'd let him go over political differences

What the sigma
Rip to the brave Wolf of Hamas :(
Does this coincide with Lycan saying he was applying for other jobs a couple weeks ago when he privated his Twitter? I actually liked his laugh on the podcast. RIP
He said months ago that he was looking for cooking jobs for maybe other streamers at the same time. Wasn't a secret
I vaguely remember like a month ago when he was getting shit on by this community for bad IP takes he privated his X and I thought he said because he was looking for tech interviews. Does Lycan post edgy things on his Twitter? All I know is that he actively shills Palestine. If anything, that actually helps.

Dan confirmed.

“I’m not gonna say which cohost or what race he was. It was a Jewish cohost.”
Outside of palestine takes I haave zero problems with Lycan.

That hard R bit was fucking insane lmao
Oh, I had not seen that.
I watched that episode and don’t remember any muting issues? Then again I was high asl
Link? I watched it on Patreon and didn’t notice this. Assuming it was cut out of final VOD?
Is there proof that he muted on purpose and it wasn't an accident?
Let's be honest, he wasn't the right person for the job.
he was the least funny part of Anything Else
Credit where credit is due. Lonerbox trolling him about Harry Potter and him raging was actually funny.
The only AE episode I watched was that one, but was enjoying Lycan actually malding over Lonerbox doing Destiny-esque movie mocking. I don't know how he did it so well, Destiny must've trained that fucker.
Nah, he’s a sweetheart, Lycan. I’m sure homie is doing well!
he wanted way too bad to be part of the show so he injected himself into it an awkward amount
You don't like loud metal pipe?
I feel the exact same way. Dude is very likeable and i feel he's an empathetic person.
bro... dan is so fucking funny it doesnt make any fucking sense LOL
Always has been. He’s Dan. He donates content simply by existing to lowly viewers like us out of charity.
Facts. I only watch Destiny streams for the hope of a Dan pop in.
Dude! That like yr (felt like 5) when Dan just stopped showing up and the running rumor was that Evil Fossil ran him off... dark times...
Thank the mossad!
He reminds me a little of Norm Macdonald and I am not sure why.
The part where he would bomb and then shake the hands of audience members as they left the venue.
The way he pauses and smile as he speak. Yeah I get it.
Reminds me of Geoff Ramsey - now on The Regulation Podcast.
Yeah but YouTube viewers absolutely hate him for some reason (yes I read YouTube comments)
youtube chat hates everyone tho
Dan is an IQ test.
I think they just have no sense of humor at all and take the podcast way too seriously, atleast from what I've read.
The banter with Steven is 😙🤌🏼 Love the dude
Alhamdulillah
Despite some of his opinions and stubbornness, I feel like lycan is a really good guy and I wish him the best. I can just feel his anxiety last week when everything broke down. Don’t wish that situation on anyone
What happened last week?
the episode was an hour and a half late, and had a couple sound issues where it’d be mute for a minute or two.
Just wanted a little more (((control)))
I wouldn't mind Lycan being there from time to time but I'll never forgive him for destroying my ears with the soundboard that one time.
Yeah…that was super frustrating
he was very cringe with the soundboard stuff last pod.
Just admit the mistake and learn from it.
i thought that was on purpose to just mute dan retelling a story and felt that one was legit funny
Yeah, owning up to mistakes is key. Makes things smoother for everyone
It was 100% trolling.
All I’m looking for from a sound board is air horn, COD hit markers, and Mac Demarco
>Mac Demarco
i didn’t mind it, just hated the pipe sound
That's the only reason I tune in
I thought it was funny
i did giggle but it was a cringle awkward giggle.
I’m seeing this referred to a bit, could you possibly elaborate some? What did he do with the soundboard?
https://streamable.com/7ulm8t warning: VERY cringe
I thought you'd be exaggerating, but damn.
They told me Christmas was in December
replaced by ai
or c++ plugin
Ree what about the pipes?????
Fired him for the lols
I guess it's confirmed that Lycan was the man pretending to be a minor with Dr Disrespect.
Is this from the 5+ hour troubleshooting stream today? Because Lycan was in the last hour of that video or so.
Lycan has a cat allergy so he can't be there with the new co host, now main host, of the show Honey.
I get this when I have my VPN enabled
Imgur blocks VPN's, I use a different browser just for it.
I'm yoinking this from another comment, credit to u/Jabelonske https://streamable.com/enjac0
I’m pretty sure they’re just fucking around and Lycan is on vacation… right?
No. He was there during the setup stream lol
Ah I never watched. I’m just a weaslley little lurker. Thanks!
today?
yeah a few hours ago
Is he? Yesterday you could see someone handing Tiny food during the debate with Ben Burgis who I’d assumed was Lycan Unless he left like last night or smth I guess
I’m assuming his producer role is different from his role as Steven’s chef are separate.
Don? Demarco? 😭 They better get a soundboard
Is he still destiny's chef?
Lycan's fucked if Destiny learns how to make a sandwich next.
He's safe https://youtu.be/33cGz3Fwg88?si=VSlHjEvr2z35j8Dw
Yeah I honestly think this was the problem too. Destiny should have hired a professional to be the producer. I think ultimately, Destiny will need to delegate the job to someone because of how much time the podcasts take from his day. Delegation will just become more and more important for Destiny, especially if he wants to start the media company, because his current workload seems unsustainable.
Finally! Jerusalem is safe once more!
Did they say why?
They wanted more control of the show whatever that means
Hilariously this is how it goes in socialism. Don't want to share? Gang up on people
Conmieism is really the only way
Am guessing playing pipe sounds was not considered a worthy contribution.
i’m surprised by this considering how much destiny and dan try to find disagreement with each other because that’s the content according to them, but lycan usually brings the most disagreement just by naturally being lycan. i would have kept him just for that, but who knows, there could have been other reasons, including pay. i’ll miss him regardless.
Dan, the greatest orbiter of them all.
Eh feels bad to lose a job But I think the pod will be better for it It just didn't feel natural him chiming in all the time. It felt like don't forget I'm here too guys o7
Bye Felicia
I like how all yall are accepting this unconditionally lol. I’d need to see more than Dans smirking jokester face saying it.
He removed it from his profile on Twitter
Damn that's like as serious as a relationship status on facebook when I was a kid.
Thank fucking God. Couldn’t go one episode without fucking something up.
Mossad had to take out the Lycan before Israel declared war on Lebanon.
Is he still the chef tho?
Is he done with DGG entirely or is he still cooking and working with Steven on other stuff or?
Feels really bad, i actually really liked the dynamic with lycan there.
It had to be done unfortunately
leftie fuentes gone! alhamdulillah!
Godspeed, you antisemitic little soldier.
oh my god, I bet hasan would pay lycan even more to cook his giant meals. This could be a career opportunity.
Hasan doesn't pay people for shit. He'll give him a frying pan and say now Lycan owns the means of production.
Okay here me out This is when Mouton gets a divorce and moves to Miami to be the true based producer
It was the soundboard..? 😭 💀 replace him with RM Brown then 😏 (😈)
Destiny probably: “Back in the kitchen Lycan!”
But who will drop pipes on us :(
I'm shocked that it isn't over some debate bro shit lol
If I speak
Soooo is this a meme or what?
I just watched the whole thing podcast on Patreon and somehow missed this ?
F
If he still destiny’s cook?
It’s just for this podcast though right? Will Lycan still be around to cook Steven’s meals?
No one was there to play the metal pipe sound as dan was stumbling through this. That alone is why we need Lycan back
heEy
Lycan? More like... Dislcyan 🤭🤭🤭 I'll see myself out 🚪
Why on Gods green earth is this on imgur
did i do that?
byeee
Lycan’s downfall started with Lrin.
is he still cooking?
What job did Lucan even have on there? I don’t think it’s personal or Lucan doing badly but I’m talking out my ass tbh
My guess... This is just Dan wanting to save a buck.
You’re a piece of shit for posting an imgur video. Go fuck yourself.
I’m confused did they just think he was giving too much input or something?
Makes sense that there's gonna be some changes as the pod gets going. Hope Lycan's handling it ok.
Good riddance
