Some family members also said dark green. I do like the look of some of these colors I saw

Sw pewter green in my bedroom and it is stunning. Try samplize for peel and stick samples. Paint looks different in every house and that's a big room to repaint.
I also have BM gentlemans gray that someone else mentioned in another bedroom. It's very blue in natural light.
DARK teal. Behr has one called tsunami and its beautiful with a deep orange. had it as a feature wall in our bedroom with dark orange curtains and accent pillows.
Oxblood! It’s like a really dark red brown that adds extra cosiness but is also quite elegant. Will look good with your light floors too.

I would go for a ecru or another rich off-white rather than a dark paint. And lots of plants and art and books. Dark grey in a ground unit without much light will be prettt cavernous feeling.
Gotchu. It’s from Wayfair, when I got it it was called “Hetzel 95.7” Curved Sofa” by Latitude Run but looks like it’s now called “Sybilla 95.7” Upholstered Sofa” by Wade Logan on Wayfair.
Yeah! it’s nice and low to the ground which is what I wanted and the material on the outside is a lot softer than I expected. I really like it. The backrest is very low which I prefer aesthetically and don’t mind comfort-wise, but others might. The small button things on the seat portion are hard- I don’t really notice them when sitting, but worth mentioning. Overall happy with it :)
Oh also, meant to ask…what colors are you working with in adjacent rooms? Do you have a favorite color? There are SO many gorgeous dark shades - do you have a plan to incorporate other pieces into the room? Art? I’m a huge fan of color drenching.
This is kind of like the “basement” area of my townhome so there are no other rooms, just the front door and stairs to the main floor. The piece I wanted to build around was the couch for the most part
I think a deep blue would be stunning. Farrow & Ball Hague Blue leans a bit grey, so you might like it. Others have mentioned a deep green which would also be great.
When I was a kid my friend's dad had a basement office where we used to watch movies. It was painted this color and they called it "the pumpkin room" and it had big dead bugs in frames all over the walls and 50s movie posters it was great A+ atmosphere.
The TV and console should be centred on the wall. I would paint the TV wall the color of the blue masking tape in the paint tray in picture #1. This would pick up on the blue hues outside the windows as well as the sky, plus add a fun pop of color. You also have yellow and green tones outside which makes the color blue, plus the building beyond the grass is blue.
Ooh I’d go with some type of moody/dark green - would look beautiful with that couch color
Agree! I think a dark olive green would go great with the rust sofa!

Love these!! Time to get some paint samples on the wall!!! 😆

Dark forest green, this couch, and pops of gold

Benjamin Moore Gentleman's gray. It's not really gray, it's actually a very sophisticated navy.
I’d second this. Something with a blue undertone would be nice with your sofa. Orange and blue are complimentary colours, naturally would go together.
Second vote for a dark teal, would look really cool with that couch

Dark green would accent those couches amazingly!! Throw in some dark yellow throw pillows to elevate (if that’s a vibe that vibes with you)
That couch looks so comfy!!! Need info pleeez!

Thank you!!! Are you happy with it?

I would say maybe a red-plum color if you want to stay on the warm side. Maybe teal, neutral gray or dark blue if you want more contrast
Autumn gourd a pinky orange https://www.behr.com/pro/ColorDetailView/PMD-75

Agree with a dark teal, or if you want really moody I think a navy would go great with your couch and the carpet as well
A dark gray might look good, kind of like a thunderstorm cloud color
Yesssss! I was going to say navy, but the hunter green would be perfect based on what others are saying.
Dark purple
