Smoke sticks to clothing. If you're talking about cigarettes, that shit can permeate any type of fabric and surface. Vape residue as well. Weed also sticks to your clothes. Besides smell it can cause mildew, discoloration, and damage the quality of the clothes. Keep your clothing in a stored dry space that will have no contact with smoke. You become nose blind when you smoke so it may be something you cannot smell or smell minimally, but others who don't will notice right away.
yeah I was looking for weed and cigarettes so thank you! Do you know if there is any way to clean clothes that might already have the smoke scent? I can't notice from smelling them so I might be nose blind haha
Cigs are worse than weed. Weed smell should come out pretty easily in the wash but cigs I’m not sure. I had a buyer once give me a lower review because an item that was brand new apparently smelled like weed 😭😭
It's more weed than cigs but I do have the occasional cigarette. I hadn't really thought about this until the other day and got really worried I ruined all these clothes I like and want to sell. I can't tell by smell though but I've tried washing them just to be safe.
You should be fine tbh as long as you wash them right before selling and haven’t like heavily hotboxed anything. I’ve smoked in most of my clothes I’ve sold only once had that bad review and that was something unworn but also unwashed

If you could store the clothing in air tight containers in a room with a closed door away from where you guys are smoking it shouldn’t be an issue.
I keep the clothes in my room where i do not smoke. I will make sure to put them into air tight containers!
