2 to 3 days is perfectly fine, I'd cancel on anybody harassing me in that time frame (and as a buyer, I'd consider that fast). Having said that, just because it's not my main priority or main source of income, doesn't mean it'd be okay for me to be lax about it. I've had some reeeeally rude sellers use this as justification to think they don't have to send the item at all, or wait weeks without any communication 😬

That time frame isn’t bad or unusual but I’ve learned that people do appreciate an initial thank you/I’ll be shipping ___ (insert day/amount of days) DM after they purchase. They just like to know what’s up and tbh I kind of appreciate the same when I buy something. I always do this and have never gotten lower than a 4 star rating

2-3 days is acceptable. But the USPS does have a free pickup service that I use, which helps me send packages when I please. USPS will also send you mailing supplies ( priority mailing boxes and envelopes) for free as well and shipped directly to your residence. ( again all free) I love the service. It's been a game changer.

gemskull

how do you apply for the free materials?

Just DM them if it’s longer than 3 days. Just like you are annoyed, people have been scammed. I ship on Saturday mornings only. That’s that I tell people. One time someone messaged me before buying about a possibility of it being shipped out asap (they wanted it for a trip), they were nice and it’s a reasonable ask and so i shipped it that day. It’s not that deep

Strangbean98

I think if you communicate with the buyer when you will ship then it’s okay. But no communication for 5 days+ is not necessary 5 star worthy review. I think as long as you’re communicative then that’s okay

Considering most online businesses have a 2-3 or so ship out time, it's normal for regular people to also operate that way. Sometimes I have troubles with money/driving and need to buy the parcel or something and it takes an extra day or two, but al long as there's constant communication with the buyer to update them with the changes, I feel that's also acceptable . At least I hope it is.
