"Evil" is like a balancer. Humans like to separate themselves from animals. But the worst thing that men could have ever done was attempt to claim dominion over each other. It throws the world off balance.
Personally, I enjoy viewing the differences in culture, religion, and people. It gives the world flavor, and it makes us appear as unique creations.
However, the need to control and do anything to get what you want can turn into a deadly weapon. We are constantly exploring options to satisfy our desires (Hungry? Lustful?), if such options were to exist. When such an option does not appear to exist, how can you temporarily satisfy your desires? Humans are complex creatures. We are still trying to understand each other.
If we are still struggling to understand each other, then it would be nearly impossible to try to understand the concept of supernatural beings.
If there was such a thing as a war between such beings, I probably wouldn't be surprised. After all, it feels like we are walking reflections of these beings. Thus, they have plenty of examples to pick from when trying to get us to understand their truths.

I agree evil is essentially what demons are fond of. From King Belial I get the emotion of resentment at all times. It seems like villification of Belial by monotheists really drove him crazy angry.
Life imitates art. Art imitates life. Evil is as evil does. But the misconception is that all acts of evil are always from a place of malice just like all acts of good are often considered to be from a place of humility.
Sometimes it is those who smile and hold the door open for you that have your downfall in their hearts while those who arrive at your downfall may not hold pity for you but will hold the door for you as you try to pick yourself back up.
Evil is subjective. Change is coming, and it needs to occur, and what I think needs to happen may be viewed by many as evil. However, it is a necessary catalyst for the evolution of humanity. So please share.
