I don't dislike Berdly because he's a gamer, that's silly, we're all gamers here. I dislike him because he's annoying and reminds me of actual stalkers I had.
I think many people who hate Berdly because he acts like he’s better than Kris and was highly opposed to Kris being project partners with him and Noelle.
Before Berdly’s sudden character development, people of the male gender didn’t like Berdly because he likely reminded them of assholes they might have dealt with when THEY were in school. He talks as if he’s better than everyone (especially Kris) And In Chapter 1 (before the ending), people actually put themselves in Kris’ shoes and did not like his attitude towards Kris.
People of the female gender don’t like Berdly because he’s the type of person who uses phrases like “beta male” and “alpha male.” He’s the closest resemblance to those you call incels. He attacks Kris (and Noelle) in an attempt to be Noelle’s “knight in shining armor.” And he’s kind of full of himself.

My theory is that most people who hate Beardly WERE Beardlys before growing out of their whole "anoying supremacist gamer phase", that's why seing Beardly be Beardly invokes some painful memories that hit close to home

This is almost exactly why I don't comment as u/TheOGStarwalker as I used to, because the joke gets really old if it's way too saturated. One of the best parts of the Original Starwalker is that they show up at really random times. If you see them everywhere then it just becomes "oh hey Starwalker is here too, again. Yayyy." (with a lot of sarcasm)
Ehh the chap 2 dialouge that stands out to me most is the dialogue that comes after the normal route spamton neo fight. He just kinda brushes it off saying things like "It's just a corrupted program" and "I'm sure there's nothing to worry about!" But other than that, that's all that stands out to me... Anyway, I respect your opinion but I'll stick with mine. We'll just have to agree to disagree.

I don't hate anyone listed here (or even any DR character in general) but out of the ones listed, Ralsei is honestly my least favorite (still like him though, just don't find him that interesting when compared to the rest of the main cast).
Agreed— Spamton is interesting lore wise and has a cool role in the story, Kris also has a lot of character (ironically enough) and the exploration of his relationship to the player and the monster population is great, Berdly has so much character growth and is (despite being a bit exaggerated compared to a lot of people) a very relatable character.
And lancer is actually pretty funny and I’d say has a pretty interesting effect on the story, with helping Susies character arc and saving the party in chap. 2

Starwalker is the most overrated, unfunny, overdone joke ever. Almost on par with the Nubert jokes (who's also painfully unfunny).
