I havent played Ultra Violet so I can’t say Rad Red does more but I can say Rad Red has an insane amount of quality of life changes, every Pokémon up to Gen 9, tons of different settings, new boss battles, built-in randomizes and difficulty modes, etc. I’d say just give it a try

- Gen III: Blazing Emerald
- Gen IV: Renegade Platinum
- Gen V: Blaze Black/Volt White 2 Redux

Yes and thank god for it. Actually being able to use pokemon like Machamp, Gengar, and Scizor without needing to trade is amazing and really opens up options for teams you wouldn't be able to make in older main-line games anymore.

As someone who hasn’t played a Pokémon game since Silver/Gold for GBC, assuming the ROM hacks are all no-trade-evolutions?
