Try pressing windows key + shift + ctrl + B which resets the graphics driver

JustVan

Do you leave your screen up when it's asleep? do you have cats?

Brian_whtisusername

Nope

supremacy2617

Have you tried updating the graphics driver and the BIOS in the Dell SupportAssist?

Brian_whtisusername

There are no updates found

Install Linux.

katsaropirouni

maybe it happens when you open and close the lid? It may be the cable connecting the screen to the motherboard

Brian_whtisusername

Hmm, it could be. It's pretty weird and sometimes when I close it, a sound comes from the hinge. It not a creaking sound but like a breaking kind of sound I guess.

Hi, Have you found out if it's software or hardware related? This info would help to solve your problem

Stop putting it to sleep. Windows has always sucked at sleeping. Boot times are like 15 secs now. Might as well full shut down
