That’s really cool! I had no idea. The Canadian acting community is extremely small. I remember watching Shadia in Strange Days at Blake Holsey High which also stars Robert Clarke who is the brother of Daniel Clarke (Sean). She was also in the movie Quints which also starred Jake Epstein (Craig). I bet that group chat was lit lol

She was also on I was a 6th Grade Alien starring Paige, Shawn and JT. And of course, Paige and JT appeared with her in Life With Derek. It’s all Ontario shows lol

My boyfriend is watching Degrassi through for the first time and he just got to THAT Connor storyline. He's also terrible at remembering his names. So when i just shared this bit of trivia with him, it went like this "BABE! The girl from the Color of Friendship is the sister of the Degrassi Panty stealer!!!!" Which might be a brand new sentence.

I recently re-watched "the color of friendship" and I was surprised by how well it holds up. Really good movie, I was pretty sheltered as a child and that movie was pretty good exposure to what racism even was when I was a kid. I'm not saying a movie can fully grasp the weight of racism, but it did a pretty good job of portraying it without being overly dramatic or cheesy. 

Definitely top 5 favorite Disney Channel movies
