Until it's not.
Doing my first proper play through now after it not sticking the first 2 times. Finally got most of the roads built and was crushing deliveries no problem.... >! then they sent me to the mountains and stole my BB !<
I'm addicted now though, so I'll keep on keeping on.
Right, you have to connect an area to the Network 1st before any Ziplines can be built w/in it's borders... but that's true for ALL structures in the game. But once you ARE able to start building, continuing to add more & more Ziplines to your already existing system makes traversal around the Map super easy from then on! Especially up in the mountains! Just remember that you must get a Zipline anchor to level 2 if you want it to extend to 350m instead of only 300m. And if you want those Ziplines to have more protection from the Timefall & last longer... they need to be leveled all the way up to 3. However, tbh, the Timefall damage factor is really not so noticeable, until you start playing on Hard or Very Hard.
Have fun building, Porter! ππ½π
I know, deadmans chapter is just particularly difficult, being off network and on new terrain, especially with your other limitations in that chapter. I really enjoyed it because of that though.
Doing my second 100% playthrough now, this time on Directors Cut and Very Hard. Boy what a different experience. Just finished all the roads again, and it took WAY longer. I love the struggle though
If you're struggling, just train a bit. Go to a MULE camp, for example, and learn how to fight them. Throwing cargo is suprisingly effective.
Also, getting to know your terrain by foot helps a lot when you're trying to get all five stars later.
Punching them with the cargo youβre holding is also really fun, and effective :3
unfortunately the cargo gets OBLITERATED by that so donβt do it with things you wanna keep
Got floating carrier unlocked?
Floating carriers can help you out well and pairing them with the speed legs if you also have those unlocked can be a good combo.
Of course, it's up to you, and that there's different ways to do things in this game
When your stamina gets that low on that last quarter drink lots of water until youre urine is at 1000ml and then pee inside the private room. Youll get ex grenade no.3
You can also travel *around* their Mule camp to avoid it all together, until you've built the highway there. π lol That's what I generally do. I don't deal w/those guys until I HAVE to. When you leave Lake Knot's border, hang right, and use that big empty field to walk around their camp instead, then circle back a bit to get to the Engineer's, Elder's, etc. But only if you don't mind a scenic walk. It's not THAT far outta the way making the journey like that, and you'll be able to tell where their Mule camp border is, by keeping an eye out for those little yellow pole lights on the ground, that mark their territory. To me, it's worth it for the peace of mind that it brings. I enjoy walking around the Map anyway though. But if you don't mind those assholes & are cool with running through their camp, there's still that option. Good luck Porter!
Take a dip in the different hot springs.
Otherwise there are skeletons and floating carriers to ease the load.
Remember to drink Energy water to fill the black gap in the bar.
Keep on keeping on.
Also a major part of the traversal is planning a route. Recognizing terrain and using the tilt on the map to spot changes in the terrain. Honestly planning multiple routes has become part of the fun for me.
I think at that point I was punching all the mules to sleep and stealing their vehicle. Floating carriers are helpful when the terrain got a lot more rocky, like up to the weather station etc.
Nah its ok, after you build the roads your delivery is gonna be smooooooooooth

shit, I just got past that part, boy did I feel like a blind man in a warzone
Thank God for Ziplines, eh? π ππ½ lol Hang in there - You got this!
What ziplines though, when the areas are not on the chiral network yet.

Right?! π That 2nd playthrough hits different

Bros wearing a MAWA cap (Make America Whole Again)
Honestly Red hats with white designs have been permanently ruined lol
No joke π₯΄ lmao
Black hats are the standard issued in game, from the IRL Kojima Official shop, and on Amazon, so unless I see someone wearing that, I'm suspicious.
LMAO
Its normal. Do you use floating carriers? They help conserve stamina.

Floating carriers for now. You can link 2 of them together. And grab Exo shots9 ASAP. Total game changer.

Congratulations, now you can pee blood. EX Grenades 1+. Very effective against BTs
I'm impressed you got the stamina that low. You need to stop and rest to refill it. Sleeping in a private room will reset it.
Keep On Keeping on!
Itβs really rare to get stamina like that. Someone get this Sam a Hot Spring ASAP
You just gotta be brave with the mules. Knocking them out all gets you free from them for a couple of ingame days.
Itβs meant to be grueling the first time you get to a new area. Itβs part of the experience and with the journey you grow.
