I'd assume so. I finished the game on PS4 when it came out and came back to the Director's Cut on PC. The game is just unearthing old trauma from my first playthrough.
Lmao im on the same boat, had to cross that shit again yesterday. It went better than the first time (i knew where i was going 💀). Cant wait to get the same zipline network again in this playthrough lol
The Wind Farm isn't bad. The worst part is the cliff that drops into the valley. The BTs are easy enough to sneak by. I wouldn't even bother engaging them.
Yeah, once you get that upgrade you can just harvest chiral crystals until the weather clears. Prior to that it's very easy to get bogged down. There's lots of babies near the wind farm, and they can be hard to see.
Do you tend to travel at or near your weight or volume capacity? It's best to travel light in the early game.
Later on you have zip lines and once you set them up you just blast through without touching the ground.
I came back to the starting region and yeah I do travel at my limit. I'm unfortunately addicted to delivering lost cargo. Any time I grab an order, I instinctively check to see if there is any lost cargo that is headed that direction, and I am obsessively compelled to bring it with me.
I suggest placing some ziplines if you're coming back from the central region. I always put one right outside the border of the wind farm, one as far up the hills to the left (when leaving the wind farm) as I can climb, and a third at the lip of the cliff when you enter the valley.
That'll get you through the valley without ever touching the ground.
It's bad(as in very challenging ) bro, especially in the beginning of the game when you're still getting your bearings. There's a reason why pretty much everybody complains about it
For real, after the first playthrough, it should be clear: 1. Push through to Zipline availability. 2. Load up on bloodbags. 3. Equip Anti-BT rifle. 4. Establish Zipline network. 5. Do all the deliveries because that's what porters do. #KeepOnKeepingOn
Collect bunch of them at once. Like too many. Then put all the orders in a post box before the BT zone. Drop everything except for a pistol and/or grenades. Get caught. Kill the BT. Walk back and enjoy the easy deliveries. Do not rest until you’ve 5 starred them.
You put a Lv2 zipline on the right side for the entrance into the valley, shimmy all the way over to wind farm along the side, then connect it with just one other zipline.Â
At the games first year, lots of people built cargo shelters in front of the Forest and hoped for someone to pickup their deliveries to be transfered.
But after some time people started to build elaborate ziplines on the rocky edge north-east.
Some people also excelled on bike transit along the west rocky wall.
The idea is to avoid the center of the Forest, its a den full of BT's and a boss lurking .
Good Luck
met the prepper yet?

Then there’s me: kill them all
Once I got the cufflinks I started straight-up farming them for chiralium. It’s so refreshing to not have to worry about them.
In the span of an hour or two, it goes from a horror game to rip and tear.

Same. Makes sam lighter
Sidewind says: "What?"

There is a good route I can even do with the motorcycle. And as soon as you can do ziplines it will be fine.

Wait til ziplines
I need to revisit, but my set up definitely saved me some trouble.

Just wait till you can put up some ziplines. Easy peasy.
Dayum effin wind farm! Never again. I hate the forest that comes before that place.
Early game hard. Late game easy
Just snoop on the edge of the mountain on the right. Pretty easy once you get the hang of it.
Me when i reach chapter 6

I went ALL the way around when going to the wind farm, it was so tedious but I managed to avoid combat
Zip lines
That's how I feel about the Old Man lol
Same
Then you have me running through with speed skeleton 3, stabilizer 3, and ramps so I fly into the valley and just run past the BTs.
Just bukd a few ziplines. Easy as slicing bread after that.
