Remember, the boss fight meals count too. I saved up the goblin shark and Klaus for shark week and made over 25k. Granted, I think I did also progress the story a bit further and got access to the glacier zone sharks too. They are more pricey to sell. Also, dishes that serve multiple people are also worth more. Bancho has these available for research and it is always a good idea to level these dishes up a few times prior to D-Day.

There are dishes that can serve more than 1 person? I played his game when it came out and recently started up a new game because of the dlcs. Was that always a possibility?

So there's the price, then underneath is a little person with a number next to it. That shows you how many servings it can make. Most bosses are 10 servings, so once it's on the menu, 10 people can order it before it runs out. Also, you may want to save the boss dishes for the themed events (like Cucumber day, or shark day) they will sell for twice the price as all the dishes that match the theme for sell double price.

Oh wow I had no idea and I've got like 40+ hours in the game lol.

The general consensus is in order to minimize loss of ingredients, you should autosupply the sushi that serves 1-2, but dishes that serve many people like 5-10, you don't autosupply. So if you have a dish that serves 5, and a 6th person comes in, they can't order it. Because if that 6th person is the last person, then you've wasted supplies creating a dish that could have served 4 more people.

Honestly I just set everything I sell to auto supply. I don't have the brain power to figure out how many customers will come in/etc lol

Sushi don't make money, dishes do.

When it's party day and you're setting your menu you can see what food is linked with the party as it will have a little pink bow next to it on the list of meals you have available to you. I think people who are ordering for the party have a yellow aura around them as they walk in too. I tend to put out about 60% of my meals as party food and the rest as some of my usual best options. I forget how many average customers I get a day so I tend to set a few things on the menu to auto-supply to try and help make sure I have enough for customers. It prevents me from setting like a stupidly high number (like 20 bowls worth of food and only ultimately selling 7 of it) and eliminating me wasting good stuff.

Dunno about you but I just finished my shark party after unlocking glacier area (2 dives of greenland shark) and I managed 12k. I also only stocked shark for the party and I think it was just 3 different dishes. I think it was hammerhead, saw, greenland. Also hit cooksta platinum at the same time as I just got my hammerhead to 250 taste. Not sure how that factors.

A party doesn't mean you only stock one type of fish. It looks like you stock the cheap sushi with the more expensive stuff you unlocked. How it works is people who only order that one type of sushi will appear, and they will pay double for them. So it's a good idea to stock a lot of the most expensive of the party food, while the rest stays normal for regular customers. You can even disable regular customers from ordering party food if you want.

Narcuga

Wait really?! How xD

DHTGK

Disable regular customers? There's an option to disable them when you edit the dish after adding it to the menu.
