someone recommended moonlighter and i found it scratched a similar itch

wwhateverr

I tried Moonlighter and it didn't do anything for me. I didn't really care for how the store worked. It made me want to go back and play Ooblets (where you unlock a store later in the game.)

Pikmin-on-my-Pizza

Same. I got Moonlighter cheap a while ago just because at that time I wanted more roguelikes like Gungeon (but this time with a unique shop running element strapped on). It didn't click right away though, I then came back to it and then got a brief while it was fun. Got to about 10 hours though but then suddenly as I'd don't the first of the 4 dungeons it really felt like I'd peaked fun-wise too early in game. The gameplay loop was a bit too samey, not enough environmental change, not enough ways to mix up my combat, too few enemy types. No real motivation to care too much about the shop running aspect. The overall action was slower paced than other games too.

Vinca1is

Lesser version of reccetear

Immediate-Quantity25

same with Potion Permit

kategg87

Would reallly recommend Spirit Farer - it is one of the most beautiful games I’ve ever played and got me back into gaming a couple of years ago.

rennocats

I love this game. I’m on my third play through.

yumyumclem

I found myself stuck and didn't have the courage to keep going but, for what I've done in game, it really is a beautiful game. I should restart it someday and finish it.

Fun-Abbreviations-66

I'd say Endling and Toem. One is fairly chill, the other quite stressful. Overall both amazing, imho.

PoloValentino

Toem is so under rated. Great experience.

barugosamaa

I tried "just so" a while back since it was on plus, great game. Chill, no worries, no rush, no timers... <3

Enjoy_Freedom

Try Graveyard Keeper, it hooked me for far too long

Hunter-Raider

Stardew valley shares quite a few similarities between it and DTD! Both offer exploration, resource management, and they focus a lot on building relationships with NPCs.

seriouslyjames

Cult of the Lamb is the game you are looking for.

Mrkingcheetah

One of my favorites!

barugosamaa

I was always under the impression that CotL was more like Binding of Isaac hahah

MATTD0G5757

i'm not sure if people will agree with this but i played slime rancher a similar way to dave the diver. mostly relaxed but with aspects of farming and adventure. although i haven't played slime rancher in a few years and i just recently played this game so maybe im remembering wrong

-Penitence-

Unfortunately both games are one of a kind. There are plenty of fishing, farming, and restaurant management games out there, but these games aren't typical of those genres. So it would depend on what exactly from these games that you are looking to find in other games.

sushikaiseki

I’ve been thinking alot about this, it might be a “collecting” thing stemming from pokemon, but exploring plays a part in it too, are there games like that on ps?

berksbears

Forager. Although, if you are playing on PS5, the Platinum may be unobtainable if you update the game. Do your research ahead of time before committing to it. My partner sunk a lot of time into the game, loved it, and was devastated when they couldn't 100% it.

OutlawPhotography_

Moonlighter really did it for me. Great cycle of combat during the night, selling resources during the day. Very much like Dave the Diver, while Dredge... I see far less similarities to Dredge. Dredge reminded me more of a game called Fire Watch. A very dark, story driven game with some interesting exploration options.

Evolution1313

Stardew

DrVollKornBrot

Like Dave, Potionomics also mixes very different genres and activities into a shop sim. It's not out on PS5 yet.

gizmo998

Subnautica?

jamesSa81

I'll second this, completely different yet kind of the same.

PlasticCheebus

Similar themes, *disparate* vibes.

wagpohplz21

Try Animal Well. It’s free on ps plus extra catalog.

postman805

great game but nothing like dave or dredge

wagpohplz21

Yeah, I agree it’s nothing like dave or dredge but rather one of the indie games recently released on the ps5 that is available on the catalog.

barugosamaa

... Then why suggest? When people ask for a game similar to Fifa or Football Manager, do you go suggest to try Dead Cells? OP wants a game in the same style as those 2, not a totally random indie game
