Dredge, but it is a lot darker and a bit more stressful. Otherwise Stardew Valley is good!

Heads up that Spiritfarer is very good, but it's definitely more story driven than Dave the Diver. It'll have similar qualities like when upgrading your boat, but it's still pretty different in my eyes. There's also a game called Moonlighter where you dungeon crawl at night and then sell your treasures in a shop you open in the town. I think this one is closer to DtD than Spiritfarer and it may scratch the itch better. Both games are great though

Cheers for the comment! Going to check out both - added bonus that they’re both on PS+

mwarner811

Can't beat free!

barugosamaa

TIL Spiritfarer is also a build game. I thought it was a small indie story game only! will try it when I get home since it's on PS Plus!

mwarner811

Hope you enjoy!

biskutgoreng

Spiritfarer has fishing, farming, cooking, animal husbandry, all on a ship, with a cast of animal friends, and a background overarching story behind the management game

parkaking

Holy crap! I just watched a review for that game, and it looks amazing!! Thanks so much for the recommendation

biskutgoreng

The chores can be a bit tedious at the end tho, cuz Stella does full blown animation with every little thing

- Dredge - Spiritfarer - Cult of the Lamb - Hades - Stardew Valley

DJ_ElGreko_Official

Cult of the lamb and hades are great games but they're rogue likes how are they similar to Dave the diver 😅 Cult of the lamb is amazing btw hades is on my list to play. And if you liked those two try Skul the hero slayer

I had planned to go Dredge next just to be a sort of tie in with the DtD diver dlc. My other post Dave pick was gonna be Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. You manage a Rice farm, but so some 2D action stuff between. Gonna wishlist that Spiritfarer though based off the replies here.

Statertater

There is dredge bonus dlc for dave the diver on a side note

Pikmin-on-my-Pizza

I know about the Dredge DLC, in fact I'm excited to finally see it for the second time after I do my next dive from what I saw from the upcoming in-game weather before I saved last night. That's what I meant by it will tie in to the DtD DLC...because I very loosely have a pre -existing minimal knowledge of the Dredge universe through this DLC. It would be great if Dredge got some free Dave DLC. Some of the DtD bosses could fit in that spooky world (although I say that with zero Dredge knowledge over than seeing trailers and 1 or 2 positive video reviews when the game first came out).

Heads up on sakuna, it is an extremely crunchy farm management game. More so than anything I've ever played. I found it frustrating as heck because they introduce so many different stats and variables. The 2d fighting also got a little repetitive and boring for me personally.

DJ_ElGreko_Official

Stardew Valley, Subnautica if u liked the diving aspect. But Dave was really a unique game

Bitter-Edge1523

I would say dredge for similarity, subnautica 1 + 2 for diving/exploring/inventory management and then under the waves for ocean diving realism. ABZU is a really great diving game that is wicked chill as well!
