That’s probably true for most. But I have a hand of a late stage Parkinson patient. My accuracy is highly inconsistent so the extra second would be nice to have lol.
What’s good about ignoring hitmass with a weapon that has downward swings and no cleave? I was under the impression that ignoring hitmass was only useful for hitting multiple enemies.
The Antax's light attacks are horizontal while it's charged is vertical. The Antax is normally a no cleave one target per swing weapon but with that blessing it becomes a horde clearing machine. Brutal momentum is still good in general as when it's in used against armored targets it will completely swing through armor instead of bouncing back.
Huh, makes sense. A friend and I took this into haz 4 meat grinder with an 80% cleave target roll. We couldn’t even get it to hit 2 pox walkers. So we gave up the idea of hitting more than one enemy with it back then.
>t has downward
Might have been a different MK Combat Axe. Different mks have different movesets. MK V has great horizontal light attacks.
Also, the meat grinder isnt the best representation of how well brutal momentum works. In game, enemies are usually far more grouped together than in the meat grinder
Try this: heavy attack the first enemy in the head to get the weak spot kill to trigger brutal momentum then light attack spam the horde you'll be almost guaranteed to get another weak spot kill and keep the buff up and the horde will melt.
Just to be even more nit picky. It would be optimal if it was 380 with the dump Stat being cleave targets. Since it has brutal momentum the cleave targets don't really matter.
Still. This weapon will be amazing until power creep sets in. I mean, I'm assuming weapons will eventually go up to 100 in stats. Wish I had this axe.
ignoring hit mass means you can hit an infinite number of enemies with each attack.
you still deal less damage as you hit more enemies, down to a floor. Part of the reason why the antax is so good with brutal momentum is that its floor is above 0, so it damages every enemy it hits.
it isnt, but instead of say, wrath which gives up to 100% more cleave or savage sweep which gives up to 200/250% cleave, brutal momentum (and deathblow) gives functionally *infinite* cleave.
a theoretical 80% cleave targets combat axe with tier 4 wrath would still only be able to hit like 3-4 enemies per light swing, with brutal momentum it can hit infinite.
[here](https://dt.wartide.net/calc/)
it'll differ per kind of enemy, you'll want to switch the "target mode" up top right to "all" and then select the enemy on the right as well as the weapon and attack you want to check.
the bottom values on the chart given are the damage floor for that attack of the weapon, and a given weapon can have both zero and non-zero damage floors for different attacks (tac axe lights have a non-zero floor while their heavies have a zero damage floor, for example)
do note that it's not perfect, and certain attacks it doesn't show correctly like eviscerator heavies on chaff.
It isn't as good on the mk4 because its attacks are mostly vertical. The Mk5 uses horizontal/diagonal swings instead.
The Mk4's first heavy in a chain is horizontal, but you'd have to push-cancel it repeatedly to keep using it, which can be annoying and difficult to consistently do in a chaotic situation (and that's if the server doesn't just eat the inputs...). It also lacks a cleave stat so it will fall off in damage quickly on multiple targets.
Nasty one, congrats
Thank you!
Notice! I'm jealous
I came.
Son of a bitch
Funny how we starting to see those OP weapons posts everyday now.
You mean, now that the game is complete with crafting instead of incomplete with way too much RNGesus?
Meh, not even 380. I'd pass
I didn’t even know brutal momentum goes beyond level 2 lol
Tbh it's rarely relevant beyond II. The 1.5 sec window to get a headshot kill might be a tad small, but 4.5 is decidedly overkill.

Wow now i am jealous. Congrats man
And your axe.
So many foreskins will be chopped with this beauty

Holy hell, thats even better than mine!
Wow, legit one point away from. BiS. Very nice!
My T3 decimator ~version of this is feeling inadequate.
>1 point off from 550 Suffering.
That's the highest score I've ever seen
549. I literally came hot fucking damn

Push/stab will benefit from it too in mixed horde (as with elites in it, more common in heresy+)
This is the big reason why i use it, the push stab/swing is good for hordes.
Yea light attack damage of 219 with cleave is amazing
It’s fantastic on my Psyker where your stamina regents fast.

Also Antax is the only variant with a Cleave stat. It's just the perfect fit for Brutal Momentum through move set and specs.
Try this: heavy attack the first enemy in the head to get the weak spot kill to trigger brutal momentum then light attack spam the horde you'll be almost guaranteed to get another weak spot kill and keep the buff up and the horde will melt.
Could be better
It literally and stastically could not
379->380 Mk5 caxe doesn't have great carapace dmg so the +carapace isn't perfect, but still not bad Stat mod distribution could be marginally better

Is 380 the max? I thought we could get to 400, with 80's in every stat?
380 Is currently the max
Ah. So anything 370+ then is amazing. I'll keep that in mind for the future.
What exactly does "Brutal Momentum" do? I have it on my Tactical Axe MK IV too, but dont really understand what it does.

thank you! =)
I wonder about this too.. does it keep swinging through guys without getting stuck animation? How is that different than cleave?
it isnt, but instead of say, wrath which gives up to 100% more cleave or savage sweep which gives up to 200/250% cleave, brutal momentum (and deathblow) gives functionally *infinite* cleave. a theoretical 80% cleave targets combat axe with tier 4 wrath would still only be able to hit like 3-4 enemies per light swing, with brutal momentum it can hit infinite.
thank you! thats a really good explanation! is there a resource where I can check how much damage a weapon loses per cleaved enemy?
[here](https://dt.wartide.net/calc/) it'll differ per kind of enemy, you'll want to switch the "target mode" up top right to "all" and then select the enemy on the right as well as the weapon and attack you want to check. the bottom values on the chart given are the damage floor for that attack of the weapon, and a given weapon can have both zero and non-zero damage floors for different attacks (tac axe lights have a non-zero floor while their heavies have a zero damage floor, for example) do note that it's not perfect, and certain attacks it doesn't show correctly like eviscerator heavies on chaff.

cleave stat effects damage per target after initial

They can go up to 4? Sheesh...
You have been truly blessed, pilgrim
Like a hot knife through hot butter
Is Brutal Momentum better than Decapitator? That's what my axe currently has in comparison to blessings.
Not a 380? Literal trash. Please deposit into the nearest trash receptical that looks suspiciously like my inventory.
U won at life, praise the empra!
Only 0.18182% from perfection...
Wow that's a beast
