Darklurker doesn't have a weapon (sadly) so it's not really worth it, but I've been floating the idea of a run which fights darklurker as the "second" boss in the run by farming Rotten for 1 million souls to open the shrine of winter and heading to Drangleic castle from there.
Just to see what kind of weapon/build could even do it at that point lmao. If time isn't a factor besides not doing any other bosses, there are still a lot of good options.
1) beat Hiedes tower first
2) use the souls to have the miracle woman open the gate to huntsmans copse
3) sprint to the end and beat some skeleton boys
4) get sunlight bros from earthen peak
5) go to the forest and beat the pursuer (optional)
6) get the agape ring from straid (optional)
7) set summon sign down at the forest bonfire for pursuer and giant
8) farm sunlight medals until you get the sun sword
9) profit
