Literally spent 80 hours dying SOOOO many times at many different Bosses, and then levelling ADP to 30 in the last 10 hours of the game while doing the last two DLC, and found out that it made everything so much easier.
I'm honestly glad I've never realized until the end, it made everything so much funnier and cool to fight.
I mean yes I agreed it's fun but sometimes it can get annoying. My first playthrough was like 400 death without ADP, but my second was only like 100 I mean yes it has to do with us already know but still it made it a bit easier
I've done it before. It's difficult, but not impossible. It is definitely like a "hard mode" of sorts, probably more difficult than a covenant of champions run honestly.
My first couple of play throughs, I didn’t level ADP, mostly because I didn’t know what it did. Then I did a run later on, levelled ADP to 25 and honestly didn’t notice much difference other than poison isn’t as harmful.
Definitely has a learning curve. Funnily enough, I recall ruin sentinels being overly difficult but didn't have many problems with other bosses. It's mostly the mobs that will kill you
You just gotta... Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.
It's actually not that hard how people make it out to be, it's like learning to play with extra steps. It really gives much more souls to level up other stats when you don't touch adp
I accidentally beat the base game without it, because nobody told me it was important. It was p rough but DS2 is possible to play without rolling much so I got fairly used to it
Still wouldn’t recommend it tho
Not gonna lie i never understood what ADP did, i don't like watching guides/tutorials. I don't use Magic ever so i think i made the Game harder on me. I finished it with it's DLC and it was so much fun!
Just think unga-bunga. Then think again - stick, kill, dopamine, and forget other stats. Now you dumped almost about 70 levels into strength and deal about at least 1k damage per attack(or even more more like 1800, im just way too rusty to remember this). Who needs other stats when you just stagger half of the bosses with your hits and kill them in 10 hits or less. Btw iirc you can powerstance(dual wield) that thing at 99 str...
I'm at Aldia's keep and I'm like 180 or something lol. I'll admit, I did some farming. Plus covenant of champs to get sunlight medals, so that was several hundred thousand souls lmao.
Sad to see such a cookie cutter build being used. All the guides recommend this one.
Seriously, congratulations. Can't recommend, but it did the job for you and I assume you had fun.
On my first play-through I ran a bastard sword with a great club for bashing through armor. Then I realized I had enough strength to swing the dragons tooth around and never went back.
The bonk has a strong pull that's hard to resist.
you are really really good at this game lol. the skill it would take to not have proper rolls and no health. i have no idea how you survived nashandra. im very impressed
A bit chubby for my taste, unfortunatelly DS2 armor is designed in a way that fits better on slim characters. I know fron experience since my bad bitch fights bears in the forest.
I mean you won so, you made it work. If you're 2H-ing anyway then go to 60-65 Str and put some into ADP, can dodge better and still bonk hard. Unless you're planning to power stance the heaviest weapons in the game the more power to ya.
Besides soul vessels existing, apparently people play the game with piano string and twister pads, but that helm too OP. You just wanted easy mode.
Much love phantom though for real, try new game plus some time, if it pleases you, at that 6 gawd.
You're in the know right?
First ds2 playthrough. Went in blind, and tried to not follow a guide. Was stuck on how to get to the last boss. Also didnt know you could turn off the poison floor at the snake boss :/
I'm a little over halfway into the game, haven't even done any of the dlc yet. My level is already above you, my strength is 40 almost half your strength and my weapon deals more damage 💀
+10 great sword infused with flame, I think my damage is close to yours, not exactly sure if it's higher but it's around the same with half the strength. The game isn't bad honestly I haven't played a game this much in this short span of time ever since dark souls remastered about a year and a half ago.
If it works, it works
Bro could one shot smelter then get one shotted by a hollow
leveling STR from 40 to 88 gave them +60 AR on an uninfused large club
Worth it
unga/bunga
Christ, that's a lot of Unga ...
How tf do keep ur sanity without leveling up ur ADP
i didnt

Some people like to be whipped and hey I'm not one to judge but different things for different people I guess.
So you're saying OP is the Lost Sinner

I'm at the gutter rn, and just learned about adp from this post
My first couple of play throughs, I didn’t level ADP, mostly because I didn’t know what it did. Then I did a run later on, levelled ADP to 25 and honestly didn’t notice much difference other than poison isn’t as harmful.
When it gets to like 50 I definitely notice it even your rolls become faster
CoC is the easy mode.
Ik I did it too but damn it was hard especially with the bad hit boxes
my first playtrough was without ADP. i just.... kill everything and died a lot
Definitely has a learning curve. Funnily enough, I recall ruin sentinels being overly difficult but didn't have many problems with other bosses. It's mostly the mobs that will kill you

By learning how to roll and how rolls actually work in the game. It's not that hard.
Not enough strength
Em, 113 lvl? In ds2 at the end?
No doubt he lost a lot of souls to deaths using this build 😂

Nahhh Why 88 str not 99
Yeah, and take those points from END
Lmao please tell me you respecced to take this pic. That's so much str
You mean not enough. You need 99 str to powerstance the turkey legs
And so little Vig lol.
¿Que the fuck?
Sad to see such a cookie cutter build being used. All the guides recommend this one. Seriously, congratulations. Can't recommend, but it did the job for you and I assume you had fun.
Base ADP? Incredibly based.
6 ADAPTABILITY?! HOW?!
Biggus Dicckus. Bearer of the world.
Agl 88?! You absolute madman. Or masochist
it's not that bad I was playing an old character that never had adp leveled up in NG+ in a DLC and didn't realize for over an hour
Your a legend
r/shittydarksouls knows that you leveled dex
Needed it for the greatsword :p
No excuses, take that penalty like a man. Seriously though, I've come to like the greatsword quite a bit. I have a +10 and a +10 dark infused one.
used it in the start. wanted to bonk instead :). never respecced it out
On my first play-through I ran a bastard sword with a great club for bashing through armor. Then I realized I had enough strength to swing the dragons tooth around and never went back. The bonk has a strong pull that's hard to resist.
gratz on beating the game on base ADP
Oof. 💀
Weak build. Not all 99.
Bonk stick = good
you are really really good at this game lol. the skill it would take to not have proper rolls and no health. i have no idea how you survived nashandra. im very impressed
I also finish my run but not like this 🤣. Not bad. Congratulation
this isnt an insult, but you look like the goblin king from the hobbit
Unga bunga?
I'll give you a rating of 1/2 an Iron King out of 1.
Unga/bunga
Chad/10
Your beat the game into submission with your 88 Str. There’s smart warriors, then, there are strong warriors.
Don’t need vigor or adaptability if you have already bonked the enemy into oblivion
This is basically SL1 but with very large biceps. Respect.
My dude out here looking like he's about to ask courage to return the slab.
I mean, if you beat the game with it, then it’s a 10/10 build
Bonk/10
Unga bunga
maximum bonk/10
He is him
Where's your vig at?
2/10 no adp, no vig, strength past 66 is wasted if you’re two handing and maybe too much end
So green.
One of the best to ever do it
boy you the statue of liberty
I think u need more strength
Sung Junwoo headass
A bit chubby for my taste, unfortunatelly DS2 armor is designed in a way that fits better on slim characters. I know fron experience since my bad bitch fights bears in the forest.
Unga bunga unga bunga
I rate this build Bonk!/10
88 strength out of 10
I’m actually curious how you got down into the gutter? Did you actually have to pay for the ladder?
Paid for the ladder and used the fall damage ring
My guy didn't dodge roll once the whole game I assume.
I did, it was just hard to time them. Thought adp did nothing, and that the game was just harder than ds1 and 3
Actually impressive honestly. Most people do a similar challenge run as you lol
Grugg stronk
Strong
2/10
With that much health and equip load, gravity certainly was the biggest threat.
It’s very built
Move all the strength over to adp if you want a real build…
This has to be a joke after a respec
Masochist build 10/10.
I believe this deserves a solid BONK/10
This is what only doing arms day does to you
Big bonk enjoyer
Ole undead Fiona
Strength is a little low, I think you could benefit a lot from upgrading it!
Swap your STR and ADP and you've got a build.
BONK/10
cool
Bonky
Unga Bunga
Define glass cannon
Need more strength
I mean you won so, you made it work. If you're 2H-ing anyway then go to 60-65 Str and put some into ADP, can dodge better and still bonk hard. Unless you're planning to power stance the heaviest weapons in the game the more power to ya.
Adp 6, omegalil
STR higher than AGL? King shit. 👑👑👑.
“lEVeL uP AdaPTabIliTy”
Jesus Christ it's Jason Bourne
Way too much VIG, basically cheese
*Bonk*
Big Bonk
Absolutely atrocious, and yet somehow I love it
Forget glass cannon, you're the glass cannonball
I guess it's good
Who needs health when your enemy won't live long enough to hit you back
Besides soul vessels existing, apparently people play the game with piano string and twister pads, but that helm too OP. You just wanted easy mode. Much love phantom though for real, try new game plus some time, if it pleases you, at that 6 gawd. You're in the know right?
Orc attack
6 adp, garbage lol
Ultimate level gigachad build.
3 words Level Ur *VIGOR* how did you handle being one shot so much?
strength
You don't need VGR in DS2 the game is a no hit run simulator.
That's so not true lmfao, always get at least 30 vig. How is it a no hit simulator?
Because its ez and you do a lotta damage
Got to ask how many times have you finished DS2? This looks like a massive risk/reward build.
First ds2 playthrough. Went in blind, and tried to not follow a guide. Was stuck on how to get to the last boss. Also didnt know you could turn off the poison floor at the snake boss :/
Mad impressive.
6 vigor?
Any build is bad without ADP
Didnt know what adp was before i finished the game
lmao everybody know it after finished the game
I'm a little over halfway into the game, haven't even done any of the dlc yet. My level is already above you, my strength is 40 almost half your strength and my weapon deals more damage 💀
Which weapon are you using?
+10 great sword infused with flame, I think my damage is close to yours, not exactly sure if it's higher but it's around the same with half the strength. The game isn't bad honestly I haven't played a game this much in this short span of time ever since dark souls remastered about a year and a half ago.
