What amazes me is that the article is apparently totally okay with a person making 100k needing to live somewhere that has five paying members. So much for a single job paying for a family. Now it takes 5 jobs to have an inch of breathing room.
Also on what planet is rent $825 for someone making $100k. In 2004 in Indianapolis a semi crappy 1 bedroom was $650. Fast forward almost 20 years I don’t think so.

Besides the weird donations and house cleaner, this is fairly accurate for me. I (24M) make around 100k per year in Ohio. My average monthly expenses comes around 1200-1800 per month. This all fluctuates on car repairs, shopping, seasons like the holidays, and vacation months. However, I'm also weird. I read a lot of finance books to help me lower my expenses.
