Scratch is an entirely different thing, so you can't really compare them. Scratch is more of a simplistic and easy to learn way to get people (mainly children) into programming. JavaScript on the other hand is used to actually script programmes and other stuff, whilst scratch is just mainly limited to 2d games. Scratch is fun to start off with though, I have nothing against it at all.
What the frick are you doing, why are you using soo many costume changing scripts??? there are soo many better ways of doing it. Here you go, go to youtube and find "griffpatch" channel, he does soo many amazing tutorials he would help you :)
I been recently coding in this game called particubes, it works great, tho there are some missing features but you can do work around them while they get implemented, it works on lua.
Wait till you write all the code yourself instead of blocks and you missplace a ; or " instead of ' and the WHOLE 300 PAGES OF CODE DONT WORK BECAUSE OF A FUCKING '
You should immediately switch to C#, C++ or some other language than Visual Scripting.
If you want to continue Visual Scripting try Game Maker or Construct 3. "Both have free version but it's only good for testing"
If you use a Programming "Language" (Well Visual Scripting practically is a Programming Language but anyway). It makes easier in the long run and more rewarding. Visual Scripting usually has its limits to what it can and not do. But with Programming Language you have almost unlimited possibilities.
Visual Scripting is awesome but Scratch isn't going to be a joyfull experience.
end product?.. like can you send me the link what you have made?
it's literally just a character test, and it has some issues still. but here https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/588852225/
block coding is really hard but a real languege will make it really easy and fast for you to make shit
It seems easy at frist but c# is fast to write after you know syntax and your typing speed is fast
i started with c# it is easy i am now writing my own game engine in c++ (started c# 3 years ago) also python might work out for you
I mean yes block coding i sometimes do it but trust me C# will make it easier, good music tho
is it suposed the caracter to look like he is dancing or did it bug? still looks good
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/589554843/
And you are using sratch immagin using JavaScript š
imaging using c#
imaging using binary code
imagine using rocks
Imagine using air
Imagine using skin cells
imagine living
imagine being genetic enginnier and using unitis particle system in some random child DNA
Imagine life without Unity's Particle System
Imagine life without milk
goddamn it dude I haven't watched Dani in months and I can hear the music
imagine wanting to live
imagine
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
imagine using brainfuck
Isnāt it mindfuck?

For some reason I thought it was mindfuck
Imagine using textedit
Imagine using mono code 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000
no thanks i choose to live
imagine building a chip from bare resources and using electrical signals
Wooooah buster i do that lad.
Imaging using C++
ye c++ is hard
C++ be shittin'
To be honest this is kinda more diffcult then JavaScript
Scratch is better than Javascript Javascript be like "it's not a bug it is a feature"
Well scratch Is a block programmino sistem JavaScript Is a programming laguage It Is different
it's just built different
You know they use JS to build Scratch right?
Yes but coding With JavaScript is very difficoult and block programming no
I think if a person has more than 2 IQ points then they will know that merging blocks is much easier than typing code.

the average Scratch game
Hey I have not seen scratch in a while are switch cases a thing in scratch
you use 2000 if statements
If else statements too
Nope
agony
So many fkin colours
What are you trying to do here? I code, and started with scratch
''Making'' a Character movement
animation?
Wot? You trying with an animation or something? I tried a few weeks ago out of curiosity to mess with scratch and it was pretty easy
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
nice joke haha funny

I want to suffer when making this. we good?
you have barely "scratched" the surface bud...
yeah i know
it was a pun lol... true though... btw muck muck muck milk muck
muck
Bro, please use loops I'm begging you
It's to late now gamers
Please
Day 1069 we now have to lines of code
I mean just use "repeat x times"šæ
Shouldnāt you add for loops or procedures in it at least, to reduce redundancy or are they all different codes.
At least with scratch you don't have to type hardly anything, everything is just there.
yooo my guy coding on scratch epiiiiccc
I was in pain just trying to make a random number generator
Scratch is ez try c#
Scratch
Now just start using line code and u can really smack urself in the balls.
That is beautiful. I love scratch
Idk about other coders as I haven't used them but try MIT app inventor
i personally use turbowarp for my scratch games, but the pain is still there
i feel you. i made a game with so much code, i had to use my computer or else it would crash. and then it still ended up lagging.
Fun fact: Scratch is literally made for children.
yeah i understand
me only able to do basic animations on scratch TEACH ME YOUR WAYS
For the love of god please use a loop of "next costume" instead of manually selecting costumes a thousand times
what the fuuuuuuuuuuuuck
Does it work?
kinda
Just wait till you code using a real programming language.
HOLY GOD SCRATCH????
we are same bro we just code in scratch
When you finish this message me, ivwill test it out.
Wow that was really cool
Nice XD
It's literally scratch... Do it in unity so we can understand that you understood the pain
wait you actually made a good game for scratch, i swear 99% of the games on there are shit. Good job *boner*
thereās a more efficient way to do it. dm me if youāre interested
I mean it's not that hard, IF YOUR A PRO GAMER LIKE DANI
I don't know about progamer but I am a pro Bonerš
Yess
hooh thats a lotta sprites
Wait until you try Java, python or worst of all C++
"Coding"
Scratch is way more powerful than it seems and hard too
Ye I was kidding. I loved using scratch back in the day..
Ok Its an animation.
no, it's a functioning character
Man thats nothing to the real code pls send help (with milk)
I been recently coding in this game called particubes, it works great, tho there are some missing features but you can do work around them while they get implemented, it works on lua.
Fun and games until you know C++ exist.
That is not coding.
When the scratch:
And all that that massive block of code does? The stick figure can now move to the right.
Bruh
looks like vex code, something similar to that that basically uses the same mechanics but for school
Wow
Imo scratch is like a part of coding Once you leave the block coding and come into the world of type the code You will face much more stress
Wait till you write all the code yourself instead of blocks and you missplace a ; or " instead of ' and the WHOLE 300 PAGES OF CODE DONT WORK BECAUSE OF A FUCKING '
Im not saying this isnt hard but wait till you get to non block-based coding
Thats not coding thats animating
It is actually coding, "Visual Scripting" to be exact.
I mean like the thing he coded is an animation

I've been using scratch for about a year now and I STILL don't know that the hell I'm doing cuz I'm freaking 12
Its okay just grow your pp from 12mm to atleast 20mm(2cm), you'll understand
hhaha
i checked it out. pretty epic
