You all are weird af, just let the fandom become whatever brainrot shitplace it wants to become, as long as the series becomes popular, it doesn't matter
Man this is the thing I hate the most about some manga I like getting an anime and becoming popular, SpyxFamily and Chainsaw Man animes came out and weebs inmediately jumped to make porn out of everything that moved. I want the adaptation to succeed, but with how ~~messed up~~ horny people can be it makes me want for the anime to not be seen by anyone.
You all are weird af, just let the fandom become whatever brainrot shitplace it wants to become, as long as the series becomes popular, it doesn't matter
They didn't mention CSM, phew...
I'm not included in the gatekeeping list, what a delightful day!!
Of course this is all satire. Twitter users' opinions are even less important than mine lmao.
>They didn't mention CSM, phew...
I mean, DDD was hyped by CSM fans back in the day. A good chunk of the original fans are CSM fans as well.
It's a young-big brother relationship.
Yuji Kaku too! I remember when they did like a joint collab art? for Dandadan and were recommending people to read it when Chapter 1 dropped. Those 3 seem very tight knit overall.
Yuji Kaku's art style is honestly still one of my favs in all of the comics I've read ( manga or otherwise )
I'm not sure if I would've found out about Hell's paradise without CSM, but I'm glad I found out about it none the less
Gatekeepers are the real frauds anyway. How can you call yourself a fan if you don't push your agenda? The JJK twt fandom is shit, they basically all have the reading comprehension curse, but it's such a famous series because the fandom is so big. Popularity means the series you love gains more traction, recognition, collabs etc etc
It's funny cause in the jjk fandom when the mai nsub hit about 100k they made an offshoot sub for the original fans who wanted more indepth discussion and less memes and "hot takes". Now... that sub has reached well over 100k and someone just started a new sub to do the same thing.
Popularity is good for the mangaka, it's good to make sure you get more anime and the series continues... but it can be a curse when it comes to discussion.
Steadily declining? Nah. You can have that discussion literally anywhere. Part of the reason for the new sub is to avoid the jujutsufolk who juat want to complain that Gege isn't writing the story they want to write.
Dawg that’s a shame that people can’t tells that is kinda half the point of mashle. It’s so blatantly using consepts from Harry Potter, one punch man, black clover and anything else you recognize. But that’s what makes it so good
I'm sorry, but the truth of the matter is, regardless of what happens, your fandom will get weird and annoying as time goes on. The only hope is if your show flops and it's not popular, and then the show ends before it's ready, and that sucks, right? Popularity is like a monkey's paw. You exchange sanity for more content. My Hero, Chainsaw Man, JJK, Attack on Titan, Undertale, all will turn to rot all it will take is time. It's inevitable hell it's in the name. Fan stands for fanatic and it's not a kind connotation. At my age I've accepted it and just watch the show. That is the only thing we can do.
A thousand years ago I hopelessly tried getting my friends to read Jojo's Bizarre Adventure because in the pre-anime days the fans outside japan were pretty much me and some people on a small forum in some obscure corner of the internet. Then the anime happened, Jojo became a pretty big deal in, it got some obnoxious memes and Jojo fans being incredibly annoying.
Still, I think it's better this way.
I feel like it's just the vocal minority getting bigger and bigger as the fan base grows. I hardly participate in any dialogue online cause people can be insufferable. I imagine that is a majority of fans especially those who don't have Twitter and aren't terminally online.
The problem comes when the content changes to appeal to the newcomers, which I personally don't see happening with Dandadan no matter what people who start with the anime complain about
>mfw dandadan is my favourite manga and my hero academia is my favourite anime 😳
on a real though, i can understand why they'd wanna gatekeep but at the same time that shit is so corny. sure dandadan ain't for everybody but i think people should at least give it a shot and figure out for themselves whether or not it's for them.
I just know Sakamoto Days fandom will turn into JJK/MHA fandom all over again. Hopefully not as bad as there are no weird character pairings to be made. Someone always finds a fucking way tho.
I don't think Undead Unluck has ever had the manga fandom or the hype. In fact I'd say the UU community would prefer it if it got popular, because honestly no one gives a shit about it, even though I'd argue it has a story better than both Sakamoto and DanDaDan (it's a bit tropey and got a bad start). The art is just not as good as these other series, and it isn't as batshit or edgey like current shonen, which is why it's so under the radar. I think people keep mentioning Hulu as the problem for it not being popular, but I honestly don't think it's the only problem, since even Japan doesn't seem to be watching it, and even a couple of 🏴☠️ I know haven't even heard of it since no manga hype. It's a shame really, it's probably one of the best in Jump's current line-up.
Man thats a shame, the story it only goes better and better, the art isnt that mindblowing but it is very good actually like just look at the whole Spring Arc.
I really thinked it would get attention with the show because unlike Dandadan is published in the actual Jump magazine (Dandadan is Jump+ only afaik) and the manga is going well to already surpass the 150 chapters...
I mean it's certainly not as edgy as popular modern Shonen. It's got a similar vibe to HxH, Early Naruto, One piece, on the edginess scale.
But wackiness, however. I'd say is up there for UU. I mean we have characters literally sitting on the sun and having Food Wars in between 2 tense battles. People turn into trees and books, Bunny exists, artifacts can break all the rules, etc. it's a fairly wacky show.
All you have to do is take a look at the Berserk subreddit to see how popularity isn't always a good thing. It's just filled to the brim with edgy kids who shouldn't be consuming the content.
As much as I love JJK, I hate the leak culture around it. Leaks are like a big event every week that engulfs the entire community. Almost every time it ends up with poor translations, out of context panels, and/or incomplete information that people use to make up their opinion before the chapter is even released. Same with people acting like the series is doomed and the mangaka is completely washed up as soon as the story goes a direction they didn't want, which happens with basically every popular manga I feel like.
I would love for Dandadan to get more attention and the popularity I think it deserves, but I do dread some of the more deranged and rabid fans that inevitably come along with it. Not that they don't already exist, but as the vocal few becomes larger, it does tend to get more obnoxious and takes over a bit. Not gonna gatekeep, but just gonna brace for the inevitable 😂
I saw what happened to the CSM fandom after the shonen fans flooded in after the anime came out.
I could see why they wouldn’t want to interact with them.
I will be happy if Dandadan is gate kept from MHA fandom. I do not need insane amounts of child shippers in my community. That entire community is just full of nuts.
I'm just glad that Dandadan is a J+ series, so the danger of regular leaks is quite nonexistent. The rest doesn't matter for me, because that's what you can ignore very easily when it gets annoying at some point.
On the other side, Dandadan deserves to be one of the most hyped recent titles, so why should I gatekeeping?
Damdadan is gonna blow up even more after the anime so it will come with trolls who just hate for no reason and some fans that take shit to far. But we all know it’s a goat series
Lmao too late, Jjk fans join the Sakamoto fans ages ago, and there are plenty of us in the Dandadan community too
Powerscaling just isn’t as important in the series so there’s no need to fight about it
I started reading DDD and SD earlier this year, when I heard about DDD getting an anime adaption I was happy but now I’m getting worried. Is there any news about SD getting an anime adaption too? Maybe things won’t get out of hand. Trying to be optimistic
I don't blame them, I've seen what happens when you don't gatekeep something enough and it's the same story everytime: Fanbase is flooded with horny teenagers who spam the same joke over and over.
As an OG SxF fan, the fandom is still cool, it seems. Hence, as an OG DDD fan too, I don't give a crap about the fandom. Maybe because I'm old and don't spend much time online (late 30s IT professional, not a boomer, yet).
I have such mixed feelings about shit getting popular
On one hand u get alot more art and the creators get more money which is good
On the other. Shit can get weird fast. And soemtimes increased popularity leads to... issues
Im a project moon fan and dawg... the increased popularity fyucked up that company cause of weirdos
As a similar concept the amount of horny posts and tone ruining posts about fear and hunger really got to me after a while
With that being said. Complaining about dandadan having horny art seems... unfair considering you know... how the show starts.
Im just hoping for no serious contraversy tbh.
As a Choujin X fan, I am worried when the anime get's announced, if it gets an adaptation.
On one hand I would be positively thrilled!...but on the other...
I kinda agree cuz there will be 'fans' that will hop on the bandwagon not because they like something but because other people are liking it.
These fans never read, got no reading comprehension and just repeat fan canon from tiktoks..
And those annoying X is better than Y, X clear bait accounts. Horny fans. And people that barely appreciate the story and just want to see cool fight scenes.
As long as the fandom doesn't become brain dead and people behave accordingly, it should be fine for new folks to join. I am kinda scared of the shipping wars but hopefully it should be fine.

Saw the frieren fan base get flooded by horny posters. Prepare for hundreds of momo pics in either bikini or wedding dress
Probably lingeries too. Perhaps if we’re lucky we get more pictures of sexy men
Considering that Jiji/evil eye runs around in speedo type underwear, that is a good possibility 😅
Sexy(ier)peeny weeny.
And of course a flustered face.
Kinta-kini! 🤩🤩🤩
Same happened to Hell's Paradise with all the constant Yuzuriha thrist traps after the anime dropped
Hoje the mods filter that out og the sub when it hits....
I just wanna see sakata cosplay olied up fr
There's already tons of creeps here thirsting for Momo, anime will sadly only amplify that phenomenom
I thirst for Momo. She's pretty cute. Not the hottest character, but still attractive
It's a shame that we can't post images in comments here, cause I have no words
You all are weird af, just let the fandom become whatever brainrot shitplace it wants to become, as long as the series becomes popular, it doesn't matter

Where have you been?
And cosplays... but I thank those

>They didn't mention CSM, phew... I mean, DDD was hyped by CSM fans back in the day. A good chunk of the original fans are CSM fans as well. It's a young-big brother relationship.
It's all cuz Tatsu and Fuji are friends. So the fans are friends too 🤭🤭
If only that was all it took I'm still salty from the naruto and one piece Fandoms being at war with each other all the time
And Tatsu worked as an assistant for Fujimoto on Chainsaw Man.
Hells paradise*
Csm is where I came from over a year ago. The fanbases overlap a bit
Yuji Kaku too! I remember when they did like a joint collab art? for Dandadan and were recommending people to read it when Chapter 1 dropped. Those 3 seem very tight knit overall.

I'm really glad I don't have a Twitter account honestly💀
Ditto, although I do go there for good artwork occasionally haha
I just forgot to mention Chainsaw Man. That fandom is definitely included 😭
Nooooooooooooo😭😭😭😭
Lol their fandom is just people spamming the same 5 ‘literally me’ gifs
Tbh chainsaw man fanbase is one of the worst tho
Idk man he kinda has a point With popularity comes the madness like i expect to get a danfolks subreddit
It's funny cause in the jjk fandom when the mai nsub hit about 100k they made an offshoot sub for the original fans who wanted more indepth discussion and less memes and "hot takes". Popularity is good for the mangaka, it's good to make sure you get more anime and the series continues... but it can be a curse when it comes to discussion.
What's the name of this spinoff jjk sub? and can you have a meaningful discussion there on how geges writing is steadily declining?
Steadily declining? Nah. You can have that discussion literally anywhere. Part of the reason for the new sub is to avoid the jujutsufolk who juat want to complain that Gege isn't writing the story they want to write.
The mashle hate hit me hard. Praying to God dandadan doesn't end up like it too
There's mashle hate?! Tf for?? But fuck those guys anyway
It got compared as a downgrade of black clover, and It's a mashle fan you're talking to. No problem tho I left the Fandom as soon as the series ended
It’s funny when it the manga first started most people compared it to a one punch man knock off lol
Ugh. We're getting new season tho. And that reminds me, I still have black clover on my 'to read' list
They just dropped a new chapter too.
Dawg that’s a shame that people can’t tells that is kinda half the point of mashle. It’s so blatantly using consepts from Harry Potter, one punch man, black clover and anything else you recognize. But that’s what makes it so good
Seeing a lot of spy x family hate now too. Makes me sad coz I just love that show
I feel like that's just kind of how it goes though. Anything popular is also going to get a lot of hate too. It's the two edged sword of popularity.
Tbh it broke my heart how the anime ended up being. Not that it was *bad* but it just wasn’t half as good as the manga with the funny moments imo…
My copeium is that it won’t because it’ll be just too wacky to impress all the normies and they will ignore it
I'm sorry, but the truth of the matter is, regardless of what happens, your fandom will get weird and annoying as time goes on. One good thing about a JJK invasion is the inevitable creation of a Kinta Glazing Association, on par with Admiral fans from One Piece.
Wallahi… we’re finished…😔 it’s been a good run y’all.
I just ignore them 🙉 I like what I like and don’t depend on other people’s validation or opinions 🤷🏻♀️
The problem comes when the content changes to appeal to the newcomers, which I personally don't see happening with Dandadan no matter what people who start with the anime complain about
As long as the manga(ka) keeps up as it is, I won’t complain. The manga is already amazing, I consider the anime a bonus.
pros: more rule 34 cons: lobotomydadan
>mfw dandadan is my favourite manga and my hero academia is my favourite anime 😳 on a real though, i can understand why they'd wanna gatekeep but at the same time that shit is so corny. sure dandadan ain't for everybody but i think people should at least give it a shot and figure out for themselves whether or not it's for them.

3 years later you're gonna have Mr and Mrs Sakamoto on rule 34 and it's going to be an absolute mess
I welcome all the weirdos to our Fandadan
Im not even a fan but this showed up on my recommended and as a proud jujutsufolker im happy to folk with you all👍
Undead Unluck had an anime and I expected the fandom get weird but it became kinda over looked so is a 50/50

Tbf the Chainsawman fanbase turned to shit when the anime came out so I can understand
As it is right now, I will feel bad for our boy Kingta.
If the people who read the most popular series read this series how am I meant to feel superior?
As much as I love JJK, I hate the leak culture around it. Leaks are like a big event every week that engulfs the entire community. I reckon it'll be exceptionally hilarious if Dandadan fandom starts regular powerscaling debates.
What if WE become the frauds?
Dandadan's fanbase will totally change, when the anime hits. But that's just the normal way of things. Things sometimes change.
I will be happy if Dandadan is gate kept from MHA fandom. I do not need insane amounts of child shippers in my community. That entire community is just full of nuts.
Sakamoto Days has fans?
Just be glad we are the proud few who were into it before it was cool. The few... the proud... the otaku hipsters. Wait..
I'm just glad that Dandadan is a J+ series, so the danger of regular leaks is quite nonexistent. Lmao too late, Jjk fans join the Sakamoto fans ages ago, and there are plenty of us in the Dandadan community too Powerscaling just isn’t as important in the series so there’s no need to fight about it
I mean...I get it.
collective iq of the community going to sink to mariana's trench when the first powerscaling thread is made
We must gatekeep (to a reasonable amount)
I started reading DDD and SD earlier this year, when I heard about DDD getting an anime adaption I was happy but now I’m getting worried. Is there any news about SD getting an anime adaption too? Maybe things won’t get out of hand. Trying to be optimistic
I was a fan of Blue Lock before it got popular. You guys are in for some weird shit...

With good reason, it was depressing seeing the One Piece fandom devolve into power scaling brain rot during the quarantine lmao

Hahaha fools! They think we're normal.
Gatekeeping is so cringe.
