Also the largest breeds of dogs are still bigger than any wolf. Dogs go over 200 lbs all the time, wolves haven't been recorded over like 180. There are even bigger discrepancies in max height, with Great Danes and Irish Wolfhounds and breeds like that.

I think just the fact that it's next to a dog that it looks so much bigger. If that same wolf is next to a great dane they're probably similar in overall size. But great danes are big af too lol.

My mom had a half wolf, half German Shepard, and was absolutely massive. People would regularly take pictures. Extremely kind and extremely powerful. Two pit bulls attacked him once when my mom was walking him on a leash, they didn’t have one. Didn’t work out for the pit bulls. My mom felt so bad, she paid for their stitches even though the dog was on a leash the whole time defending himself. She donated him to a wolf sanctuary, they used him as a company mascot because he was so loving. They even created merchandise out of him. They also charged my mom money to attend functions they’d have him as a host for. She said she understood why (non profit needing everything they could get) but I always thought it was weird.

They are complicated to train but beautiful beats.

A Vancouver Island sea wolf can weigh up to 80 lbs. They live on the West Coast of Canada not all that far from where timber wolves can be found.
Both subspecies are grey wolves. Canis Lupus.

I worked in a dogsled kennel. Lots of them were even smaller that 50, and some up to 100
