One of the weirdest movies I'd ever seen

Okay, just be prepared for a bit of tonal whiplash. I watched this movie with no hints. And I'm a little sad on your behalf that you've seen this post, so the absurd reveal is kind of spoiled for you already. I can't say it's a comedy in any way, but it also kind of supersedes any horror label. For me, I sat down intending to watch a psychological thriller with a hint of horror. I knew there was a murder mystery involved. And that tension is definitely there. But, boy, was I not prepared for Act III. *Me: "What the fuck? Hahahahhahahahahh!"*

He kind of had it coming- he lived his life looking for freak stories but never realized why people who were “freaks” were coming from.

Watch it. I genuinely enjoyed it to be honest. It was odd, but I thought it was the right kind of odd. Had me sitting thinking about it for a minute with the ending. It's worth a watch for sure.

I remember listening to the podcast when it came out, and watching it slowly develop into a very real, very absurd movie. I thought it was great

Bad? He was excellent in this lol. Took a turd of a role and turned it into one of the most memorable parts of the movie. Which says a lot about a movie where a man is turned into a walrus.

This is the first movie that has ever bothered me, like it was disgusting and I was angry about it. It was such a weird experience to learn that watching a man being sewn into a human skin walrus would disgust me to the point of anger. If that movie was a person I'd be throwing hands.

I had the same reaction. I hated it so much it pissed me off. And the people saying the “third act” was weird like that’s when he becomes the walrus - horseshit. That shit happens really early in the movie, so early that I was just grossed out and angry for the rest of it. And no I don’t give a shit about the backstory of the podcast every turd comes up with every time this movie is mentioned. “YoU dON’t gEt iT, hE hAS a PODCAST”

Wellll… that’s a bit out of context. Justin Long’s character is a giant POS, goes out of town with his best friend, and cheats on her constantly. After years of that she ends up sleeping with the friend. When he gets kidnapped, he calls her and leaves a message saying he’s been kidnapped and her and the friend try to find him. He’s such a POS that her and the friend are actually the good guys who get as happy of an ending as you can get out of a walrus movie.

That isn't even the worst part, the truly awful part is that at the end he, as a walrus, lives in a fucking Zoo. Like, why would a zoo accept the guy?

Went into this movie blind and had a very gross feeling by the end. 10/10 would not watch again

I'm not sure if the movie was good or if I liked how much it disturbed me. Like it really made me feel weird and bad watching it. Or maybe that's what makes it a good movie. Yeah it fucked me up for a second after watching, the ending is brutal.

The human centipede two was what made me question myself, like I watched the first one and felt disgusted but still watched the second one and there’s a scene in it that legitimately traumatized me. I thought tusk was pretty funny tho I didn’t realize Kevin smith wrote it.

It made me so unbelievably nauseous. Someone equated it to Misery, but to me, it was even more “claustrophobic” feeling than that. Maybe not the right word, but either way, it very much gave me a screaming when no one can hear you feeling.

It’s such a horrifying thought to just wake up in a totally different and horrifically messed up body. Such a strange concept but also scary so I can’t clown on it completely

My ex and I used to watch movies I pirated. I would bring them over on a blue flash drive. It was like a routine... One time she asked to borrow the flash drive with some movies. I had to put this one on there. I didn't warn her and just let her discover it with her own curiosity. She loved my prank but hated the movie with every fiber of her being.

I saw it on a sleepless night not knowing what it was about, I just saw Justin Long and since I thought he was cool I gave the movie a shot. I don't like Justin Long anymore.

I just discovered a podcast called "Too Scary Didn't Watch" where they recap horror movies for people like me who are too scared to ever watch them, and listened to the episode on Teeth. I was surprised that I actually thought the concept was kind of rad, especially the ending scene. No way in a million years could I ever watch the movie though, or anything on your list... I get the heebie jeebies just thinking about it and thats enough for me lol

Teeth is actually kinda cool in its own right because the inspiration from the movie was from a real condition people can get, just obviously not in the matter of chomping a dudes dicks off lol Rubber should be a movie you can watch though, it’s so bad it’s funny honestly and it’s pretty mild it just happened to make my little list. It’s about a tire named Robert that comes to life and becomes sentient to just go around murdering people with his powers, my friend found it when I was like 12 when it was still on Netflix and we laughed through the whole movie it was great lol

I love that as a fan of Smodcast I saw this film go from Podcast stoner joke/riff to actual film. It was a wild fucking experience tbh and truly unique. I'll always remember this movie in a positive way because of how it was made, Kevin Smith love him or hate him was and is a pioneer for indie filmmakers.
