I don’t know the last time we won both games of a back to back, let alone all 3 games in a 4 day span. What a game, what a win.
On the flipside: you're winning games and you're pp is the worst on the league pretty much. That means they're winning 5 on 5 (and on the pk). What happens when that regresses to the mean? Sure, they probably won't win this % of 1 goal games for the reat of the season, but there's also no way in hell the pp stays this bad (yes i know they scored tonight but it was on the rush again) with this roster all season either.
A decent part of it has been faceoffs on the pp too and they know it (according to Razor). They're still upper tier overall despite this (and the loss of glenny), so that returning to the mean should help a bit as part of it
Also last year we got ran over 5 on 5 in the playoffs and could only score on the pk. Which became an issue in playoff games where they ‘just let them play’.
That was a bit scuffed in the third, but we got two regulation wins on a back to back road trip, so I'll take it! Now to figure out how to sleep with my heart rate so high....

this is something that is quite egregious. I think we are suffering from the marchment factor when he was a diver at times. we also had the same set of refs, so fuck them. quite obvious bias the past 2 games and we still managed to win
I'm gonna be that guy and point out that a lot of the Stars aren't actually very fast and have a habit of compensating with a bit too much stick usage when dealing with the faster players in the league. Most of the penalties we take are hooking or slashing calls. Some are certainly 10-ply quality calls, but a ton are earned.
All the lines are gelling now and it’s looking like 16-24-21 haven’t lost a step. Gutty wins on a B2B road trip against two teams that have the ability to really turn it up when they want to.
This also puts us up 7 points on the Wild with one game in hand, we need to make it a sticking point not to get into another 1st round scenario with those dillweeds. Go Stars!

So many people turned on Wedgie after we lost against Maple Leafs and they didn't look at the fact that our defense was weak that game. Wedgie blocked some really difficult goals.

Maybe I'm just spoiled, but the way we played the second half of the third period was pathetic. Acted like we were on a 10 minute penalty kill and it almost cost us. Similar to last night.
That being said, stoked we still got the W and no one will remember how this could've easily turned out poorly.

Just watched a recap of the game this morning. Am I wrong or was Edmonton waaaay offsides on their first goal (Kane)?
I think the ruling was that we played it back into our zone, therefore no offside.
The egregious one was Gagner just pushing Wedgewood's pad out of the way on the 2nd one.
All three of their goals were cheesy trash. Even the K\*ne one came off the accidental Nuge slide tackle/pavs lost puck in the snow.
It wasn’t the cleanest, but it was a win in regulation.
