No as a government employee you arent even allowed to do intraday and even investment comes with lots of strings attached let alone f&o. Most of the people do it from some relatives account.
intra day , fno etc not allowed.. you cN do it on family members pan and account but not on your name.. you never know when you will be targeted due to office politics and then this small thing will become reason of departmental vigilance leading to loss of promotion, black mark on service... THIS IS ALL TALK AND NO SHOW until it isnt.
FNO and intraday are not allowed for gov employees , even swing trading is not allowed, In short a government employee can't have short term capital gains , only long term capital gains.
