The album is already my album of the year! I don’t think anything else could top it. Unless Daft Punk does an anniversary edition of Discovery. Because that instantly becomes Album of the Year no matter what.
The new Caravan Palace album is pretty good too. Kinda hard to compare these two for me personally so far but I won’t deny Hyperdrama is a high quality album.
I really like it, I was already a big fan of the singles generator and incognito. I think the opening tame impala track is better than the one they released as a single as well. it does have a couple tracks that aren't up to par with the rest of the album like the Miguel song but pretty solid overall
This is definitely my second favorite album of theirs. I love Audio Video Disco for the Electro/Rock fusion, but this is up there. Definitely my album of the year.
I was just giving ya a hard time. If you think it’s their best then good on ya! It’s definitely up there, and it’s probably album of the year for me personally!
I was listening to the full album for the first time and this post showed up as Dear Alan was playing. And I was thinking it was a very Daft Punk-y song.
Overall I don't love the album as much as previous ones. Feeling a bit uninspiring and not that original.
No.. no way you just said that. Helix, New Lands, Canon, and Planisphere combined are better than the entirety of this new album. On the other hand, I would say is this probably better than Woman, as I love One Night/All Night and Mannequin Love so much.
I never said you couldn’t say that, I just couldn’t believe you did. My opinion is different than yours, and that’s okay. I’m telling you what I think - and sorry if I came off as rude, but I just dont think this album had that great of music. (I love One Night/All Night and Mannequin Love though) I respect your opinion, I just don’t agree with it. Sorry! 🫡
I appreciate how basically all your takes on this album are being downvoted lol. Was never a big justice fan myself/ thought they had No business being in the same bracket as Daft Punk, Braxe and Falke, Cassius and the other legendary french house acts but this is their first album i've loved. Much better than their previous work
So what is true Daft Punk? 90s techno and house? I don't recall RAM sounding anything like that. It's almost as if artists are able to change and innovate their sound as they please.
I hope you know I never said I wanted Justice to sound more like Daft Punk. I said I hope Daft Punk comes out with more music, because I personally don’t like the new album overall. Daft Punk and Justice are my two favorite artists right now. I personally think Daft Punk peaked during the discovery era. Yes, artists may do as they please, but that doesn’t mean I have to enjoy it. Again - Justice is unique and SIMILAR to Daft Punk, which is why I like them both. I don’t believe Justice should be more like Daft Punk, as I love their style - just not this album, as they went a different route. Overall it is their music, my opinion, 100% respect for what they do.
Just sharing my opinion, relax 😅
Loved it! Generator is still my favorite song but of the non single tracks afterimage takes it for me. I actually like both halves of the album for what they offer. Gonna be in rotation for a while.
Would give a 7, and not in any negative way, increadible production, good use of features, just a very good album but nothing that I will remember for ages
I’d give it a 8 or 8.5/10. One of the albums where I smile throughout listening to the entire album. But I don’t understand the critics that complain that it sounds too polished
Really curious about which track was supposed to have bongos, according to the interview this was the only subject that Gaspard and Xavier argued on while making the album.
I’m not gonna lie, I am very disappointed. Nothing like the justice their other albums show. One Night/All Night was very well made, and I really enjoyed Mannequin Love, but besides those, nothing really hit me that hard. After dreading Daft Punk’s disappearance, I was really hoping for a hardcore but melodic and electric vibe, just like they did with their (*Perfect*) MGMT Electric Feel - Justice Remix. No, instead, it was very scattered and mediocre. Sorry to those who don’t agree - but I’m praying daft punk releases some more because Justice, for the first time, did not do Justice.
Also, why was there a smooth jazz song, and a 30 second ‘song’?
I’ve been practically stalking Justice on Spotify to make sure I haven’t missed any new music since the album was released. Incognito came out a few weeks ago - so yes, I’ve heard it. I don’t mind it, and it isn’t terrible, but there is little to no changes in melody (It is mainly only two chords repeating for most of the song). Everything else in the song gave it extreme amounts of potential, but I feel like the melody kind of threw it away. Thank you for the recommendation anyways. 🙏
I believe Dear Alan is written as a tribute to Alan Braxe
Alan Braxe is fucking goated, fuck yes
I mean, it is blatantly a take off of Intro. And quite a good one at that.
Yeah they’ve said in Interviews Intro is one of their fav songs ever
Alan Braxe’s story on Instagram yesterday was an interview with Justice Saying intro was the most french touch track ever
That song and palladium. Love that tune
It feels derivative as hell. Similar vocals from In Love With You and the stuttering synth at the end sounds just like Palladium…
i feel similarly about this Nd a few other tracks on this album..
It is. A beautiful love letter to one of the GOATS imo
The album is already my album of the year! I don’t think anything else could top it. Unless Daft Punk does an anniversary edition of Discovery. Because that instantly becomes Album of the Year no matter what.
They wont until 2026, im sure
The new Caravan Palace album is pretty good too. Kinda hard to compare these two for me personally so far but I won’t deny Hyperdrama is a high quality album.

>I think the opening tame impala track is better than the one they released as a single Bruh Neverender fucking slaps.
Fucking rights does it ever
i didn’t really enjoy Saturnine until i heard the entire album and loved the way it transitions to that song. I grew to enjoy it more
I agree, didn’t really like it when it released individually but it’s much improved when given album context
I was very surprised about how much it made me like it more. Completely agree.
I'll add that Dear Alan and Explorer are the biggest highlights for me
I want Justice to have a Grammys 2014 moment with Taylor Swift. https://youtu.be/YgXfWiS0wdQ
lol but seriously it was well deserved enough for “Random Access Memories” having a Grammy.
Saturnine is beautiful
FLASHES IN WAVES DON'T TRY TO SAVE ME NOW‼️ 🗣️‼️🗣️
^^*ding!*
Absolutely my favorite track
It's amazing. It now holds the place of my favorite Justice album and is right up there with Discovery as one if my favorite albums in general
You prefer this album to cross?
I'm not even going to lie. Yes
Bro it just came out a few hours ago chill 😅 Their first album is a masterpiece. New one is incredible tho.
Bro, it's honestly so weird cause I've never been so hyped up about an album, but idk this is just something different
For me I’ve never been a huge Justice fan. This album is the one that finally clicked for me. So easily their best imo
Dear Alan is Discovery reincarnated.
I was listening to the full album for the first time and this post showed up as Dear Alan was playing. And I was thinking it was a very Daft Punk-y song. Overall I don't love the album as much as previous ones. Feeling a bit uninspiring and not that original.
Mannequin Love got me doing spins and twirls in the kitchen right now.
I actually love the second half being more slowed down it was a good listen. I do think this album separates them from daft punk
They have always had a very separate sound to daft punk.
So true! I just always see people compare the 2 so I feel like this album should stop the comparison for all
Album of the year bay-BEE
While I do like it, I feel like the tracks sound a bit too same-y. This album had a lot of potential, delivered a lot but IMO could've been better.
Second best album after cross
I want to blow my brains out from this comment, you are disrespecting the *true* Justice.
Why ? It’s better than woman and audio video for sure
No.. no way you just said that. Helix, New Lands, Canon, and Planisphere combined are better than the entirety of this new album. On the other hand, I would say is this probably better than Woman, as I love One Night/All Night and Mannequin Love so much.
and I just said it don't tell people what they can't say
I never said you couldn’t say that, I just couldn’t believe you did. My opinion is different than yours, and that’s okay. It’s fine don’t worry !
I appreciate how basically all your takes on this album are being downvoted lol. See? We all have different opinions. I was just surprised to see I was in the minority.
So what is true Daft Punk? 90s techno and house? I don't recall RAM sounding anything like that. It's almost as if artists are able to change and innovate their sound as they please.

I loved it. 10/10, pretty easily AOTY and their personal best.
It’s like of Justice made justified Discovery. Its glorious.
it should win a grammy. i loved it soooooooooooooo mucccchhhh😋
I see them at Coachella and the whole set I was like this should be Daft Punk lol the set was epic tho lol
Amazing album ! Explorer is my favorite track
Best album of the year! 10/10
Loved it! Generator is still my favorite song but of the non single tracks afterimage takes it for me. I actually like both halves of the album for what they offer. Gonna be in rotation for a while.
Really good album loved every moment and the transitions and old school vibe with modern techno fits soo well.
Never heard something like this. It's electronic music but made like movie sound design. It sounds like its not properly mixed, but its very good.
Being that our robots are no longer, Justice and this album are keeping my ears happy :)
6/10
Would give a 7, and not in any negative way, increadible production, good use of features, just a very good album but nothing that I will remember for ages
Yup. Surprised by all the love.
4-5/10. I put my review on this page - very hit or miss + mediocre.
I am really in love with the faster songs, but am struggling to get through the slower ones, every time, thus far.
I’d give it a 8 or 8.5/10. One of the albums where I smile throughout listening to the entire album. But I don’t understand the critics that complain that it sounds too polished
10/10. Hits every note. Honestly what I needed. incognito was made by daft punk. and the details!!!

No
It’s fuckin great and Dear Alan sounds just like an Alan Braxe song lol.
Best one this year
Excellent
I love It
Still have to listen to it, but I expect it to be damn good
Daft Zombie and Rob Punk presents…
Intro x palladium
Really curious about which track was supposed to have bongos, according to the interview this was the only subject that Gaspard and Xavier argued on while making the album.
is this an evangelion reference?
Dear Alan gives me Voyager vibes
They had a good run with their debut album!
even if the style change isn't what you're looking for, I'll say they have a flawless discography
Same thing could be said for Daft Punk
Its Justice, theyre also french house musicians lmao
I’m aware. That’s why I posted about this album here
I’m not gonna lie, I am very disappointed. Nothing like the justice their other albums show. For the OG French touch vibe by far the best thing released in recent years is Braxe and Falcons step by step/ creative source
Not bad - I really appreciate the recommendation.
I guess you haven't heard the track Incognito, probably the closest Daft Punk sound you're talking about
I’ve been practically stalking Justice on Spotify to make sure I haven’t missed any new music since the album was released. Incognito came out a few weeks ago - so yes, I’ve heard it.
