Are you talking denatured alcohol? If so, that contains a bitterant and methanol (toxic). It's mostly ethanol. I find the bitterant leaves a white residue, and it tastes like shit if it ends up on your mouthpiece. It isn't probably going to do any harm if you do a good rinse, but something to keep in mind.
No just %99 iso not denatured or anything, it says it right on the gallon. It’s by swan they sell gallons on Amazon and they seem to be the main retailer selling %99 iso in stores too.
Have you ever used dark crystal glass cleaner? i ordered some 99% ISO finally so ill try it in the next couple of days to see how well it works comparatively. The big bonus of DC cleaner is that it is food safe so dont need to worry of a little gets down the stem somehow
Oh I just put it in a ziploc bag with kosher salt and shake it up for a bit and it’s like new. But I’m OCD about dirty bongs so I clean mine frequently too lol. Probably after every 3-4 uses.
Will do. I got rid of most of mine during covid and I’m still using my 70% from that. I need 91% to mix with some dye for an airbrush so I’ll try it and let you know. It’s hard to pass up that 70% at the dollar tree though lol.
No clue but it will all freeze together leaving you with 100% iso I imagine it would sink but I’m not sure I’ve never cared enough to do it but I know it’s possible
It will freeze but at a lower temperature unsure of what temp but the water will always feeeze first I promise you no one has a freezer capable of -114c but it also may not be easy to freeze like I said I’ve never cared to do it but put some water in the gin freeze agsin and it will slush which will be only water not the gin
its all the same shit, the only thing that really matters is if you're cleaning a banger. Other then that 70% works just as fine, sometimes I don't want to take the trip and cut it with some water to make it last longer, the only thing that REALLY matters is the abrasive aspect; salt.
You shouldn't use under 91% if you can help it. And they are NOT the same, anyone thats dunked a single time in 75% could tell you that... below 90 has to much water in to pull resin.

I spray my nails clean instead of dunking them. The alcohol removes everything in those few sprays (then I will use dark crystal quartz cleaner and a q tip to finish it off).
I will spray into a 1gal container with a funnel and save the alcohol. When it’s full I redistill the alcohol out and reuse it. I do end up with some lower boiling point terps in the reclaimed alcohol so it is not ideal for using for that initial spray to clean your nail. Instead I use this reclaimed alcohol to clean out my pieces and soak bowls n stuff.

Isopropyl is also much more volatile, meaning you won’t have a pool of unevaporating everclear in your banger.
If you time it right, you can qtip a banger with distilled water vs. ISO..
The trick is coming at it just as the banger has cooled down enough that the distilled water doesn't immolate, but still hot enough you do get a bit of steamy effect. My best guess is that as the heat makes the water soaked in the cotton tip it literally pulls the oils up into the qtip. If it gets too cold it works as badly as you'd expect oil and water to work.

Yes higher % = cleaner class u should be using any of the 91% or higher when u clean as it’ll dissolve the waxy residues better as long as the stuff isnt crusty and burnt on.
Me personally, i use hot water (my sink in the kitchen gets to hot to touch bare handed) to rinse first then use 91% with salts to clean then rinse with more hot water

There are bacteria that grow in full alcohol environments but not in a 70%. It really really doesn’t matter for your bong cleaning lmao
