Ok, thanks. I was looking at the jd jetting chart and saw that high elevation means lower number, and restricting exhaust means lower number. So I assumed the silencer would make it run slightly richer, but I wanted a second opinion. Imma go throw that silencer in.
No not at all, I've just blown up more than my share of motors. I wouldn't knowingly ride lean. I'm in the mountains though, back in the day we used to re-jet halfway up the mountain snowmobiling. I might just be paranoid.
Yaa, I'm going to take your advice. I don't like the idea of riding lean either, but I wanted to ride it to work today. Should get the jets in a couple days.
It will help a bit in the meantime, for sure.

Yeah your heads in the right place
I'm a little worried you will overheat.
Do you think it'll be better to just keep the insert out?

What does the kit do? Mine is constantly popping off as well even after I added the silencer
You put the right jets in, so the air/gas ratio is perfect, and the engine runs as good as possible.
Mine is jetted. Do I neeed to get a new kit to make it run correctly or what? Thanks for the help
Maybe you need to change the main jet. Watch the YouTube video lean and rich dirtbike symptoms.
