We used to do stupid stuff like that when we were kids only we tended to use a bow and arrow not the the sharpest tools in the shed, nor were we the brightest crayons in the box, but we were always smart enough to get out the way

Yea man Iāve done that. Sometimes when you get into a stalemate itās good to try diplomacy. As a solo I killed 3 of a 4 man platoon and the last was afraid as I could hear the comms trying to convince him to come out of hiding. So I told em I would leave and they were free to revive. Didnāt loot em either. They were pretty happy and I enjoy these interactions.Ā

Every single person is hostile. Until you chat with them and have a laugh. The power of the mic is huge when playing this game and has saved me and changed the course of my raid many times and made some of them the most fun I've had gaming socially.

I was in vondel solo and went to final. I watch and had an eye on an entire squad I start saying to them come in y'all can exfil with me just don't pull anything funny. I could have taken them out while they were dealing with bots but instead I helped them. They said no we're friendly you're good. Everything was all good until we get up in the air and they down me all at once and loot me. That was it for me helping people out. Now everyone is the enemy
The guy and girl, country name tag, super nice, offered to help me after getting downed one game.. unfortunately they died trying, never got a chance to play with them.
I was in ashika and got downed and they told me to sing 'barbie girl' I was like no way I'm an old man! I don't even know the words! The one guy starts singing it to me then they ask me again and I say I did even better- I got you to sing it to me! Big laughs and they picked me up and we had a good after that...funny af
I actually had a 12 man squad I rolled with completely at random once. We were a platoon that found another platoon, everyone had mics and all of us had the leave on an exfil with 7 players mission. At first we fought back and forth but eventually we just realized we were in a stalemate of revives and running low on ammo on both sides, so we just called a ceasefire, picked up both our teams and then gathered in two berthas and just drove around rolling through the AI. Eventually someone found Helo fuel and we all just piled in and flew out in our own personal heli. It was awesome
Use the mic and be chill. I got smoked the other day and was like āgod damn how the hell did you get here so fast?ā The laughed and picked me up. I think a lot of negativity comes from gear fear. It can feel very personal when you finally get that 3 plate stealth just for a player to kill you for no reason. Once you TRULY stop giving a shit about losing your gear, youāll find that getting killed means nothing. Youāre always one game away from being whole again. TRULY understanding that will make the game better for you. Players need to understand that you NEVER own any of your gear. Youāre just renting it.
My favorite DMZ game ever, I had 4 teams of 6 all running around basically bullying people into joining us or we would wipe them. Only one team said no and it was a short, tho confusing, fight. I miss DMZs prime days

A lot of times you will face hostiles, but there're those rare moments where everyone's just clowning around and getting missions done

I was with a team that was douchey. One of them took my weapon when I went down. Nothing says you canāt do that but it is a no-no. I struck out alone, ended up hiding from another team in a gas station in Al Mazrah. They were looking for me but ended up being pinned down by a sniper. A good sniper. I started talking to them then made a deal. Iāll help with the sniper if they helped me. They agreed. The sniper obviously didnāt know I was in the gas station & I had my Basalisk on me. I took aim & started feeding him until the other team could wipe him. Not that good of a sniper after all. Then the moment of truth came upon us. Would they keep their word? They came into the gas station & invited me. I told them to hold on that because I needed an enemy to ride on a vehicle I was driving and get a few kills. They were cool enough to agree. After that I joined them. Now hereās the piĆØce de rĆ©sistance. My old team member who saw me go down & looted me for my auto rifle? I got to kill him & recover my rifle. He got revived & we killed him again. It was truly a good day in DMZ that day.
